- In this tutorial, our warehouse manager Brad Green shows you how to tie his favorite all around streamer pattern, Mike Schultz' Red Eyed Leech. Brad uses this pattern for smallmouth, trout, and steelhead. It works well on standard streamer rigs or on a Euro nymphing leader.
You can find the materials for this fly in our shop in this category link www.tacticalflyfisher.com/fly... - Спорт
Nice fly and great tutorial.
Thanks!
Thanks, will try this some of these on the XXXL rainbows we get in the Tekapo canals in NZ
I’m sure they’d be a good choice for those fish.
Saw the materials list in a link above. Thanks
Happy tying
Why do you use this particular hook? Advantages?
This is a TP650 from Ahrex, I like using this 26 degree jig hook to allow for a better sink rate and less snags. This style jig hook lets you strip the fly in a manner similar to a jig style presentation on a conventional set up. I like the 26 degree because the up and down motion is doable but you can adjust your strip to take away the jig style and lower the rod tip and stripping in longer motions. This hook allows for better and more accurate presentations, and less snags.
