I only remember seeing US1 trucking items at Kay-Be toys in the 80s. It was a small store in the new area of the mall only 2 miles from where we lived at the time. We went to that mall twice a week and I remember being fascinated with the selection of little Smurf figurines at the JCPenney store. The nicer toy store was Circus World and I think they also moved across in the food court in the new area. I kind of miss those small stores such as Waldenbooks with the air from the mall corridor hitting you as you left, having to merge with the flow of people and not getting run over by strollers. If I may add, we live in a conservative community, in that new area of the mall there was a very small lingerie store, and my mom would try to cover my eyes as we walked past of the window display. Even one of my local Barnes & Noble stores has downsized, and they got rid of the very comfortable chairs that the old men used to fall asleep in.
Very nice haul! I used to work for a Goodwill for years, it's crazy the stuff that gets donated, and even crazier how cheap some things end up being sold for!
My parents usually bought for me every Christmas a universal building set every year from 1981 until 1989. I’m happy to say that I was still building things with LEGO well into my later teens, along with model kits, semi trucks, model trains, and books. I didn’t have very much so that’s kind of why I’m all over the place with my hobbies.
You stole my Lego educational sets! In broad daylight! Releasing a video rubbing it in my face! Kidding. I actually have like 8 of those yellow bins in a box downstairs waiting to be unboxed. For sets released under DACTA and Educational branding I always go for the DACTA ones. Also idea for a video, a huge slot car layout with tipper trucks as barriers lined up along each side of the track 😁
I’m sure you’re watching on eBay (if you have any money left😂) there are some US1 trucks available with the track and power supplies for like less than $200.
I have a Betamax recording somewhere that begins with a commercial for the US 1 fire alert set and the jingle always gets stuck in my head - "Fire alert! With three trucks! Fire Alert!" The US 1 stuff is very cool, I always keep an eye out for it
You look so happy unboxing these big boxes
He likes big box and he can not lie...

Although i'm only interested in LEGO, i couldn't stop watching till the end. Your passion is infectious. And your collection is Legendary!

Jabbo: "its LEGO that Bricktsar will like..." its also LEGO that Mr. Benjamin Bunny would probably enjoy too. Nice LEGO picks, Jabbo.

That Vintage Minifigure Collection is a sweet set, but the red spaceman got a motorcycle helmet and not the original spaceman helmet unfortunately.

You can never have enough straight rails especially in larger scales like G scale or Gauge 1. Lots of neat other slot car stuff in there too
Jabbo37, where you 37 when you started this channel, that's what my 27 means in my channel name 😀
Wow what a huge haul of boxes 📦 👏 😍
You got in on that 50% off sale didn't you. So did I but I'm still waiting for my stuff.
