I have massive driving anxiety. It has really limited my life. It doesn't matter how much I force myself to drive. The idea of driving always makes me nervous.
Thank you for sharing your experience of anxiety, it’s interesting that you say you haven’t found the root cause but have apparently over come it. I wish I could do this with my massive driving anxiety.
I suspect it's part of another problem that I mentioned in this video. That's been with me all my life and despite many sessions with therapists and all sorts of work myself, it's still there.
My Fear of driving especially on highways was due to years of smoking weed and I am slowly recovering after quitting smoking weed …I’m slowly feeling confident again it’s a slow progress but I’m feeling great and driving again .
Hello Paul, thank you for your videos, they are very informative and honest. I am currently on a course learning to become a hypnotherapist and am experiencing similar scepticism of the methods that you describe in your videos. Would you have a reading list to suggest for me to acquire a better understanding of how it works and how best to actually help my future clients? Thank you very much
Hi, I made a video on this over four years ago that I still haven't released. I never got to do the follow up to it but I was going to go through books, courses and talk about how I found my way. The best way to put it is you're going to have to go through multiple training courses to find the truth because each course has it's strengths and weaknesses. Each course provider has their own agenda and reasons for thinking what they do, none of which will align 100% with your view of things. As you may have learned from NLP, the map is not the territory! Once you've done that, put together everything you've learned and form your own style with it. As Milton Erickson said, don't spend years trying to be me, spend them being you.
I recommend you get out there and practise instead of reading. Meet real clients and help anyone with anything to start with to see what you like working with, so long as you're aware of contraindications. Be prepared to fail over and over before you get anywhere, and get used to working with real clients and not classmates who'll play along and pretend. A good rule is to be working with clients at least twice as much as the time you spend reading or studying because nothing will get you better quicker than getting stuck right in.
What I do won't work on current issues like grief, that's something for counselling or some other form of therapy. My work relies on there being an old feeling triggered by doing something now, not a natural feeling or process in the present.
Hi I was wondering if you could help me I've got a ford fiesta 1.0t ecoboost st line and the passenger side door keyless entry button has just stopped working any help would be much appreciated Im so stuck.

Thank you very much for your quick response, can you suggest any reading material in the meantime?

Ok, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions, I will endeavour to put what you've suggested into action.
My driving anxiety started after my mom passed then my sister and her boyfriend passed a month or so later. Traumatic. Help me please.
This was 35 years go 😢.

The key fob might just need a new battery. There is a way you can set it to only open the driver's door so it might have gone into that mode somehow.
@1stdrive thank you for the reply. Oh really any ideas how to check if its gone into that mode?
I think only a Ford dealer can do that.
