- Hello everyone,
Its Harun from Hayce Family. Today in this video I give the requirements needed for one to work as a doctor in Swizterland coming from a non european country.
Love your contents@Family Hace and your Camera 🎥 the best quality 👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽💯
Hi Pauline, thanks for watching 🙏🏾
This is so informative 👏
Psychiatrists always end up being like they patience. The language is also an important factor in Switzerland. Plus, the salaries differ. If u in swiss, u would understand, depending on where u come from .
Hi doc. I am non EU citizen and graduated from non EU country. Currently I am studying german and I am planning to apply for internal medicine in Switzerland. But after I read your comments it looks like it is soo hard to get a job without citizenship. What is your opinion is it too hard for me?
Hello thanks for your effort, I am about to graduate medicine from a university in Georgia which is not an EU country yet. Universities in here do not provide an internship program for foreigners unless they meet certain circumstances. However, If I look forward to apply for an internship in Switzerland what is the process and is the internship program paid ? Is there such thing as a list foreign universities recognized in Switzerland ? is there any exam to pass to be able to intern in Switzerland ?
Would highly appreciate the help, thank you Doctor.
Hi Fatma, last time i checked, Zürich offers internships for students who are non EU. There is no special list of recognized universities outside EU. interns are paid between 900-1200 chf per month
Same situation , can we connect through email ?
Hey I am a non eu medico studying in an eu country. I have some questions
1. How to do residency in Switzerland.
2. Is it mandatory to do my internship from the same university which I am studying.
3. Is there any interview or exam to get in residency program.
4. Do I get paid during my residency.
Pls answer to my dilemma 🙂
Shukran daktari, very informative 🙏.
Thanks Talida.
Hello, i am final year medical student here in Belarus
I will like to my internship in Switzerland
Is that possible?
Which kind of documents do i need to apply for that ??
Do i need to pass any exam??
How can i apply for internship there
Hi I would like yo ask you a question. I saw and read the link that mebeko shared for non-EU doctors which includes list of documents etc. Should I send my documents by post to their adress? Do they accept that? Should I send a mail before I send my documents(my pass, language certification etc)?
Good Infromation doc!
Thank you.
Hey Hayce Family, thanks for the videos and the information. May name is godfrey working in the moment in Germany as Dr. but i come from Uganda. I als have German-citizenship! I am in the process of applying to get my Diplom recognised in Schwitzerland via Indirekt Annerkennung. I have all the other requirements, apart from the proof the my Studies were recognised in German according to the Bestätigung der Anerkennung gemäß Artikel 2 Absatz 2 bzw. Artikel 38 der EU-Richtlinie 2005/36/EG“. Do you have an idea where i can get this document in Germany ??? Thanks i would be greatfull for any help.
Hi Doc. MD & MPH from Ethiopia. Couldn’t hear your voice on the video . But what can I do to work in Swiss system as a general practitioner or residency program ? I think you said something about research job? Any way It is possible for me to practice medicine in Switzerland. Great video thanks
Hi Michael, If your spouse has a swiss or EU Citizenship, then its easier otherwise you can also come to Switzerland to do research or apply in fields that have shortage of doctors like in Psychiatry
@@HayceFamilyKe Thank you brother 🙏🏾. Stay safe
@@michaelmillion1718 Most welcome
Hi- quick question what is the difference between an Oberärztin mbF and Oberärztin only? Is it important to become a Oberärztin mbF? Do these doctors make more money?
Being a non-EU MEDICAL graduate, what if i qualify the foreign medical exam of EU member country like; PLAB in UK, will i be able to make it to switzerland as a doctor?
If you work in Britain for at least 3 years there are chances you might get recognition in Switzerland. should you have a spouse of EU origin chances would be much higher
I’m a third world country non EU citizen but I completed my medical studies in Lithuania an EU country. Is it possible for me to apply for medical license after learning the German language?
If you now have an EU citizenship, or a spouse with an EU citizenship. It would be possible to work in Switzerland, alternatively you can apply for a speciality where most doctors are lacking in Switzerland like psychiatry, where the chances are higher for non-EU citizens
lovely content, thanks for the knowledge you have impacted...
please my question is,am a Nigerian medical graduate currently residing in Italy,is there anything I could do here in Italy to facilitate my chances of working as a doctor in Switzerland in about 3-4 years to come?
thanks in anticipation
Hi Chinny thank you so much for watching our videos. We really appreciate 🙏🏾
Since you are in an EU country and you speak Italian.
You have good chances of working in Switzerland because some districts in Switzerland speaks Italian . But you can aswell study German because you will have more chances of working here.
Thanks once more and feel free to ask questions.
@@HayceFamilyKe thanks so much,I appreciate...
Hi ma'am
I'm an undergraduate student at the University of Ibadan and I'm currently exploring several pathways,
If it's okay by you, can I reach out to you?
Please any ideas how I can apply for residency in Switzerland ? Foreign graduate from a non EU graduate
Hallo Liz, you can apply directly to hospitals. High demand spicialities like psychiatry or rheumatology might give your application a consideration
Hello. I will graduate from Kazakhatan in 2024 and I have a Dutch Citizenship.
Should I work as a doctor in EU member state for 3 years before I apply to Switzerland?
Hi Gokhan if you have the Dutch citizenship its ok. you can apply for indirect recognition through MEBEKO
After obtaining equivalency in Germany, for example, will the assistantship we do in Germany for 3 years be valid in Switzerland? or do we start the assistantship from the beginning in switzerland
In this case i would have to confirm with mebeko fist before i give you an answer
Hi Dogükangünes, thank you so much for watching our videos.Dr Harun will get back to you as soon as possible. Sorry for keeping you.
@@HayceFamilyKe I would like to be a doctor in Switzerland too. It must be very good both to be a helpful doctor to people and to have a peaceful and enjoyable life there.
Thanks for your answers.

Good day Doctor, first of all thank you so much for your very informative vlog. id like to ask , though it was mention in your vlog, as a non EU, and has been practicing as a doctor in. Non eu state, do we have to study again prior to the medical board exam? Coz you did mention medical studies ( ugh) . Apppreciate your answer.😊
You would get a job as an assistant and work for 3 years, then sit for the swiss exams. you would then qualify to work as a doctor
Hello doctor, thank you again , as a non EU, would I be able to apply in the field of psychiatry directly ? Or do I have to undergo internship, medical board exam and B2 language?
Where did you sturdy medicine?
Hello, thank you for this useful video! What do you think is the best way to look for a job in this country? Should I rather apply as a spontaneous candidate? Besides psychiatry, I've heard that there is a need for general medicine doctors, hope that's true
Hallo Yana. In general medicine there is also a high demand. You can just apply as a spontaneous candidate in many clinics as possible
Hello, to apply for the title recognition, how do I get the “official translation” of my documents? Do I need to put them the apostille Haya, translate them by an official translation and legalizze them by an embassy or consolate? Or is it enough to just translate by an official translator in the UE? Thank you very much
UE(european union)
Hi Maria, translation by official translater in the EU is enough. Your documents should also be signed by a lawyer of notary public
What about ophthalmology, is it in high demand
Yes
I received my medical degree from Poland, have a German B2 and a permanent residency in Germany. However I am a US citizen, do you think a direct annerkennung would be possible if I apply for radiology or would internal medicine be more reasonable?
Hi, I would recommend you to submit your documents to Mebeko. Radiology and internal medicine are both recommendable.
@@HayceFamilyKe thank you for the response I’m just waiting on some documents to me mailed to me so I can send all of the papers to MEBEKO. Hopefully I will qualify🤞🏾. Great video and thank you!
Sir, GMC registration after complete mrcp Ireland is valid in Switzerland, means can i enter in Switzerland if i have gmc registration?
Music couldnt let me hear anything
Sorry for that🙏🏾
Hello I've graduated from ukraine can I do internship in Switzerland without language requirement?
Familie HAYCE🤩💪🏾

Hi I have done my radiology pg from india of 3 years and then post pg I have around 2 and a half years of experience working in the field . I wanted to train in I terventional radiology in Switzerland via a fellowship. What will the appropriate pathway to do it ?
Same as for my wife she has done pg in family medicine with same 2 and a half years of experience as internal medicine physician with fellowships in Diabetes and clinical cardiology after which she wants to train in interventional cardiology
Please help us with the right pathway
I would recommend you to apply for fellowship in a university hospital.the most important thing is also to learn the german or french language then submit your documents to mebeko.
What if you are internal medicine specialist from Kenya.... what is the process for the postgraduate recognition?
Hi Dr. Ahmed. If you have studied in Kenya and havent worked in an EU country and dont have a spouse with a Swiss or EU citizenship the recognition will be very difficult unless you apply for research or a speciality with high demand like psychiatry
@@HayceFamilyKe my wife us swiss citizen but I have no experience with in the EU or Switzerland, some doctors in Bern told me that having a valid scores of the UK plab exam may facilitate the recognition of my undergraduate medical Diploma (MBBS), I would like to ask for your opinion on that if it is oki with you brother?
@@dr.ahmeddeeq4629 If your wife is a swiss citizen then that would work out.
@@HayceFamilyKe thanks doctor really appreciate your effort

Hi i have done my bds from india and thinking of doing post graduation in swiss which university wld be good?
Hi, I would recommend the University of Zürich or Bern
Hello and thank you for your video!
What about non-EU who has got their degree recognized by an EU country? For example, "homologation" in Spain or Aprobation in Germany ?
Still would be a bit challenging due to lack of the EU Citizenship but chances of getting recognition would be high if you have worked in an EU country for at least 3 years or if you have a spouse who has an EU citizenship
@@HayceFamilyKe thanks very much for your response
@@HayceFamilyKeHIi can you explain more about the EU spous part? Thank you so much, just subscribed , great stuff

hi Hayce. thanks for informative vedio. Do you have any idea working as pathologist or working as Medical reviewers in pharma companies in switzerland 🇨🇭 being non EU
Hi Dr. Ankita. There are not so many pathologists in switzerland making the speciality of high demand. I would suggest you submit your documents to mebeko for recognition then apply for a position to hospitals
HI harun.I want to know whether it is difficult for a foreign doctor to find a job in Swiss
For non EU members its a bit tight but not impossible
@@HayceFamilyKe Thanks for replying!I come from China and graduated from a Chinese medical university. Now I plan to take the exam to get German medical license and worked in there for a few years. If I want to find a job of physician in Swiss in the future,do I have to get a EU citizen?Which means I must apply for a visa in order to return to my hometown 😢

Hi NKECHI, you can submit your documents at MEBEKO
Hello Doctor, can doctors get a job without having a swiss citizenship or having a spouse w/o swiss citizenship?
Is it mandatory to have a Swiss passport to work as a doctor in Switzerland? What if we don't have it but we still want to work as a doctor in Switzerland?
What are the steps that we should follow then?
