I passed out 1976! Never forget counting out the ‘Advance in review order’ (16 paces!) I wanted to go back to see the old base one last time then found out it had been obliterated from the face of the earth 😢
I was enlisted in the American Army. We Yanks don't take that final high-knee step to the halt with a stomp. The British in uniform still look impressive though.
Hi Gill, just wondering if I could use a couple of seconds of this for a film I am making for the Royal British Legion on Operation Granby and the build up to it. Let me know here hello@threadfilms.co if you wouldn't want this! Thanks MG
Fabulous to see.
I’m only surprised there aren’t any comments about lack of diversity. Clearly very different times!
Very different. I was there from July 84, can't remember a single black recruit. Better times than today. UK has become a shit show.
WOW this is video of my Pass Out Parade, could see my mum and dad when the camera did a slow pan across, I was in number 2 Flight.

@@threadfilms3575 Please feel free to copy as you wish. I'd love to know which clip you use in case my son is in it. Good luck, hope it goes well.
@@gillmoore7111 thanks so much. Keep an eye out on RBLs social channels. It should be up in a week or so! Thanks again.
Yep, I was there. Can't believe how thin I was...
1975.
Typical inspecting officers - out for a Sunday stroll whilst everybody else was marching.
