The “Superfecta” of Progressive Hard Rock, Hard Rock Trio, Progressive Groove Metal, and Power Metal: Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer, and Lovebites -- all pushing their core genres into the next realm! 🤘 🤘 🤘🤘 Thx, B-Dead!
She is phenomonal. I have seen an interview with the Roman and Eugene, that plays the guitar and the bass, where they say that, even after having played together for many years, there are still times when they play live, where they look at each other, like… “What the fuck did she just do??” But really the whole band has a techniqual level that are at the absolute top. They are really really good, at what they do.
I respect a band that does things their own way. At the end of an absolute hailstorm of metal greatness, they finish with a ska/blues jam. Why? Because they can.
I can't imagine consuming Jinjer for the first time at the pace of a reaction channel. Impressive restraint you have. I'm here for it though, also enjoy all the other bands you want too. You have a great chill reaction style.
Seriously! Within a few weeks of encountering Pisces for the first time I had purchased four albums and had probably watched most the official live performances on UA-cam!
Another great reaction to Jinjer. They're all so talented and Tatiana is such a great front woman. Yes, 'On The Top' and 'Pit of Consciousness' both live in Kiev are in the future, around now, 'Just Another' live would be a good one.
Great reaction! It's just Jinjer doing Jinjer things, that's why I love them so much. Live Jinjer is always the best. They kill it in concert. You'll see as you go they don't have a bad song. When you do get to "Pit of Consciousness" you'll see why it's so highly requested. Keep 'em coming!
This song was from the Cloud Factory album, but they just moved it from drop C to drop A when they became a four piece playing it live. That's the same ESP Roman plays in the Pisces video.
Just subbed - been enjoying your Jinjer reactions as well as UTA. I'm 47 and Jinjer is my favorite band period. I've been to see them live and even had the opportunity to meet them. I'm so far in that I have their gear logo tattooed on my shoulder😂. It is my only tattoo....I just want to warn you when you react to PIT OF CONSCIOUSNESS live in Kyev you may die on camera. It's a spiritual experience.
Thank you very much for subbing, I am glad you are enjoying the reactions 🙂 It seems like Jinjer put on a great live show! I am looking forward to Pit of Consciousness, it comes highly recommended (particularly the live in Kiev version) I have had a few spiritual experiences so far during these reactions, it can't hurt to add another! 😂🤘
Falling in parallel into the Jinjer, UTA and Lovebites (and now even Band Maid?) rabbit hole is quite some ride man… 😂 but I can understand, also LOVE them all for different reasons. BTW… was that some Electric Callboy reference: “Bass… aehm…Spaceman, got a rocket on my back…”? 😅 And for more Reggae-Tati: Judgement&Punishment, one take sing through …
Just saw… Congrats for the 1000 subs… in one month not bad! 😊 If you need even another rabbit hole / different sub genre and also like kind-of Symphonic Metal with a bit of growling I can recommend Ad Infinitum (or everything else Melissa Bonny is in like DarkSideOfTheMoon).
That's definitely Vladi rockin' a Tom & Jerry shirt! Aside from the insanely awesome vocals and incredible musical talent, I hope you take note of the stage presence of Tati and how she commands the stage. I've been to many concerts of various genres and have not seen a performer who so commandingly drew my attention. When you check out "Captain Clock" you'll really see what I mean on an even bigger festival stage. ---> ua-cam.com/video/ArXkEjGvoLc/v-deo.htmlsi=FfNjb2Z-2ajuZ2MO
I know that lyrical analysis isn't your thing, but once you take a deep dive into Tatiana's words their songs become even more meaningful and powerful.
PoC in Kiev is a perfect storm of Jinjer awesomeness. They had just returned in triumph from their first full US headline tour that had mostly sold out. It was kicking off an equally successful European tour. Tati had just met her now husband Alex Lopez and was on fire even more than usual. Hometown crowd. And they were performing for the first time in front of upgraded stage production, and the lighting for that song was soooo on point. All in all a great video. But at the same time my perspective is that there's so much great stuff that there's no reason to watch their best stuff first.
Since youre starting from their early stuff and working your way up, I hope you'll go back and do a couple from "Inhale Do Not Breath", which is the first album with Tatiana on vocals. "Exposed As A Liar" and "Scissors" both have official videos. Exposed was actually the first video they ever recorded, and Scissors the second. Both great songs, and they will give you a much better picture of the band's evolution as you move forward through their catalog.
Unfortunately I started on the full length studio album and I am now regretting my choice 😂 But I am committed to it now, so I will have to loop back at the end to revisit some classics 🤘
So are you moving on to the next album? You've done Pisces and Sit, Stay Roll Over from King of Everything - don't know how many you're planning on doing but Just Another and I Speak Astronomy would be my pick, maybe Words of Wisdom, it's pretty fun too. Looking forward to the newer stuff, I think the most recent song you've done is Perennial from the Micro EP. The two albums following that are really a step up in many ways, so I'll be interested in seeing what you think.
I am going to be doing Bad Water from this one and then moving onto the next. I am doing select songs from each album for now but when I catch up to the newer stuff, I will revisit things I have missed 🙂
@@BraindeadBreakdown For I Speak Astronomy I would do the OMV (or at least watch on your own) since it's pretty stylish... any astro-physicists hymn (ok, together with Nightwish's Shoemaker). ;-)
I am really into Jinjer's music, but I can't say the same for Unleash the Archers, so I am quite surprised to have them both, if not compared, at least sharing your "throne". I have only heard "Tonight we ride" from them though, quite some time ago, and quickly settled that their music wasn't for me. Should I give them another chance? Which song would you recommend then, given I disliked the other one? Cheers.
For context, I haven't listened to any new metal music (of any sub genre) in over 10 years. I am currently reacting to a bunch of bands I have never heard before. So far, Jinjer and UtA are the two that appeal to me the most 🙂 so I am not comparing them directly, just in the respect that I am enjoying them both. I have done some reactions on the channel to UtA, I would recommend any of those songs! (Mainly because they are the only ones I have heard)
I think you are a very pleasant and cool dude, you deserve a sub. If you like you can respond to a band from my country....Germany. the group is "blind guardian with bard's song + valhalla (live in wacken 2016)" goosebumps guaranteed!😉Just a little note as an audio technician... your volume (overall) is about 30% quieter than average. maybe make it a little louder. then I can headbang with you
If you want to hear a miss, listen to the studio version of this. Seriously. It's so bad that Eugene had a live recording added to later prints. Also, "A Plus Or Minus" from the same album.
@@BraindeadBreakdown it's just really lackluster , ESPECIALLY compared to this jazzed-up live version. BTW (just as an aside), Eugene is on record as saying that Macro was the first album where all band members were 100% satisfied with the final product.
@BraindeadBreakdown I listen to the studio version on Spotify all the time and it sounds great. Not sure if that's the original studio version or not. I stream all my music, so I haven't heard it directly from the album or cd. Also, not sure if he's saying "A Plus Or A Minus " is a "miss", or just another song you should check out from this album. But, just want to let you know it is definitely not a miss. It's one of the best songs on the album. I even rank it ahead of Who Is Gonna Be The One by a nose.
Lol UTA is power metal while jinjer is proggy djent groove metal. 2 completely different miles apart subgenres, like it's not even close 😂😂 same with the weirdo jinjer and nightwish comparisons....jinjer is an easy preference for me among all these tho lol.
For my part I'm not a fan of comparisons in general. Even with band that are relatively similar like Jinjer and Spiritbox. Each band is its own thing. Not many of us only listen to one band so it isn't a zero sum game to a degree that matters.
@@hemlock399 Also worth bearing in mind he hasn't listened to anything from the last two albums, which is fairly different in many ways from what came before.
Hey dude do you TTRPG? We dnd and Shadowrun, we're a bit older than you but you have the proper balance of cynicism and curmudgeon to fill in that gap =)
I have but only very rarely. Thanks for the invite, if I am ever looking for a group I will get in touch. I am thinking of starting a discord soon for that kind of stuff 🙂
Be careful Jinjer can be addictive.
No can be about it \m/
Crazy addictive! Love watching people slip down the Jinjer rabbit hole! 6 years now as my #1 band! Massive talent in all 4 of them 😎👊🏼👊🏼
Nothing says rock and roll like Tom and Jerry!
Hell yeah! I appreciate the choice of shirt a lot 😂

Just Jinjer doing Jinjer things.
The fact that they make a reggae riff & rhythm, jazzy vocals & a bluesy guitar solo work so well together in the outro is *mind-blowing*.
Good reaction. From the same concert "Words of Wisdom" (Live, Napalm Records) is another great performance.
I have that one on my list 🙂

100% agree with that statement! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Just recently went to my first Jinjer concert and it was insane, this song turned up the pits \m/

Yes, 'On The Top' and 'Pit of Consciousness' both live in Kiev are in the future, around now, 'Just Another' live would be a good one.

Seriously don't sleep to long on Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev it's such an amazing track and they full on murder this preference.
