I used to be active for sonic studio, but ever since lapper started pouring hard worked videos with epic editing, and just his overall Personality.
I started to want more videos from you, even if it's not sonic related.
This looks amazing. The atmosphere, the different mechanics, it all looks and sounds awesome. I would really love to see this as an actual zone
I would like to see this playable.
Also fog would make it even more spook.

The creepy thing in that zone is how official it looks to be a fanmade, it really looks like something that could be from an official game.

- I think this guy SHOULD make a Sonic 2 hack with this (graveyard) zone and the haunted mansion one in it; I also suggest a few zones from existing hacks - Pumpkin Hill (Sonic: the Tribute) would be the typical Green Hill variant based on light hearted Trick or Treating, with jack-o-lanterns around; Medieval (Red Hot Sonic 2) is a creepy, ancient ruins / labyrinth area in a lightning storm (without collision in the hack); Genocide City (Sonic 2: Long Version) is also acceptable, a haunted city in a lightning storm, complete with ghosts, skeletons and a flooded subway.
- I'm planning out the idea for the level order, and I believe this guy's two suggestions fit the theme perfectly. If he's reading this, I once again encourage you , or anyone else, to create a Sonic 2 rom hack with these zones in it, where all the zones are original creations with a halloween theme. If some cannot be found, existing original zones from existing hacks can be used if they already have the creepy vibe going. Otherwise, you could create the entire thing out of nothing like this gent did.
- I believe this idea for a rom hack would be well accepted in the community. ;)
Honestly, I'd love to see this actually be in Sonic Studio! It looks REALLY good! Even if Halloween would be long gone by the time it releases, it's still cool to have a spooky zone, and you absolutely NAILED it!

If you wanted to add a mansion level, you could always use that for the theme of act 2. As for the zone name,
I propose we use the name 'Grim graveyard zone'
or if you end up making a mansion themed act 2, we can call it 'Grim Manor zone'
That's really impressive work.
A few ideas to continue that theme could be when you kill the enemies, the cute flicky animals that are freed are replaced with bats and black cats.
Adding fog.
Maybe some of the jackolanterns trick you and are actually a type of enemy.
The enemies that drill up from the ground beneath you perhaps could serve as a zombie type of enemy.
The floating enemies with spikes spinning around them could instead be floating skulls.

@@starleaf-luna I was thinking more along the lines of the enemy disguised as a jack-o'-lantern that attacks you when you're near, kind of like how Marble Garden of Sonic 3 has those fake ground spikes that are actually enemies you can spring off of.

Idea for if you do make this an actual stage ever:
Since you were considering making the level a haunted house level instead at some point, maybe you could have it where Act 1 of the zone is the outside Graveyard, and Act 2 is an inside portion in the mansion, maybe with traps similar to Sandopolis. Almost like Sonic had to quickly find shelter for this spooky night, and just had to get through the graveyard to enter the mansion.

So around where I live, almost every tree has some amount of Spanish Moss growing on it. Especially the bigger Oak trees. I personally love the way it looks, because it gives the trees this sort of shrouded, ghostly look. You might add some swaying moss to a tree in the future, and perhaps animate it? It's especially fitting since the moss is quite literally sucking the life out of the tree, so maybe?

YOOO. EVEN IF THIS IS MORE OF A SPRITE BACKGROUND, IT WOULD LOOK SO GOOD AS A 3D LEVEL.
I’m going to say why I like the boost games. Not only is it faster than the classics but even though the speed is free, it’s hard to keep the speed going for long periods of time. It keeps you ready for anything and teaches you to be quick on your feet.
And no, I don’t like forces. Because everything in forces that is in 3D is automated

Imagine if lapper decides to do a Christmas edition. I feel like sonic also needs a Christmas like stage, sure there are zones like ice cap that has the snow theme, but no Christmas vibes to them.

this was awesome! it would be great to maybe even see it as a usable theme in studio if thats a part of the plan/not hard to implement. i just think the spider robot is a bit too much like the real thing, and the green hills in the back with their dirt patches just look like craters instead. the motobug idea is funny but i think he looks to much like the original. thats just a few nitpicks though, cuz i mean holy crap! the art in this was wonderful
I know im a year late but heres an idea for the pumpkins and gravestones: some of the graves have robotnik faces carved into them and the pumpkins act like sensors, they are dark but when sonic runs past they light up which activates a timer for the graves to blow up! Sonic can either roll through or jump on the pumpkin to smash it, allowing him to run at full speed without the graves blowing up

Custom themes would be amazing
Make BOTH a graveyard zone AND a mansion zone, and you'd have the basis for a Halloween Sonic Rom Hack! I've also seen a rom have what was supposed to be the pumpkin hill zone (Sonic the Tribute). Then there was a ruins level from the early prototype of the "Red Hot Sonic 2" rom (it didn't have collision). Start with these four zones and make four more, then develop them into final, working zones in a rom, and you'd have something... ;)
EDIT - If possible, my idea is to use any object or gimmick that would work (from between Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 4 and Sonic Mania). Also, to clarify my earlier statement:
Pumpkin Hill Red Hot Sonic 2 by Red Team Green Hill starter level; jackolanterns, lighthearted trick or treating
Medieval Sonic: the Tribute by theBarAdmin Creepy haunted ruins; lightning storm; spiders w/ webs, labyrynthian halls, etc.
Genocide City Sonic 2 Long Version by Hachelle-Bee abandoned city w/ flooded subway and ghosts / skeletons; lightning storm
