Wanted to say a thank you for the tip on orange brushes. I’ve been losing my mojo with painting, took your tip to get some and haven’t looked back, huge improvement on what I was using and I’m back to finishing the army! I usually listen on Spotify but thought you might be more likely to read the comment here. Top Pod, thanks!
Hey just want to say loving this podcast! Been recommending it to my friend! Keep up the good work Gift ideas: tackle tray organizer (not tackle box, the little tray) are great for keeping bits and bobs....organized. Also a laminator or laminating sheets can be great for helping them to protect their gaming cards/data sheets etc protected from spills, folds, and mishaps. Either one for under 35 loonies, basically one hero figure, would be very thoughtful and relatively inexpensive.
Absolutely awesome recommendations! (We may bear them in mind for next year). And honestly thank you so much for recommending us, we love doing this show and if other peeps enjoy it along the way then that’s perfect. 👌 - Russ
@@inthetank40k It's good enough I am double subscribing with both accounts. Clearly you fellas are enjoying yourself and it is refreshing to have podcasts that are from the perspective of a regular hobbyist and Dark Angels obsessive (we want to see this famed housecoat!) Gifts for a hobbyist is always tough, not knowing what they have/don't have, getting the right "quality" of a tool they may ask for, budget, etc. And if they give you a specific list it kind of takes away the fun of gift giving. This came up in a talk a few nights ago with the missus as she was asking this very question and I couldn't help but think about items that would be easy to pick out and be useful in other ways. A small Laminator would be as much a gift for her as myself, or one of those fancy glue guns with exchangeable nozzles (ooo la la). If you really like them pay for an audible subscription for a timeframe (year?) and they can trickle out books and its a gift that keeps giving! Anyways keep it up, looking forward to the next one. -Levi
Oooh the audible subscription is such a good idea! We will have to do a PTII of this next festive period. Honestly we are so touched that our community are enjoying our content, we really are just a couple of mates figuring out the hobby and having a blast in the process. But comments like that are the icing on the cake. Cheers mate. - Russ
Echoing everyone one else that it’s great to have a podcast that is positive and just a couple of people having a chat. Although as a Space Wolf fan since 2nd ed we have, or had, the best terminator. Nothing beats the assault cannon and cyclone missile launcher with power fist combo. Stupid broken but fun to take the once.
Mate you are an absolute gent, we genuinely appreciate your support! Haha the dark angels fan in me can’t give you that chap.. the Deathwing were always superior ;) but you’re load outs were gross. - Russ
@ In pains me to say but Deathwing are the peak terminators. Love the lore although weird in 10th that they have allowed blade guard etc to also be Deathwing. Hoping that the 10th edition Wolf dex will allow me to add terminator Wolf Guard to normal squads and delete the silly doggie riders.
I’m glad you think so too! Yeah I’ve been a fan of creamy knights for decades now. Although I’m cool with Power armour Deathwing as I have a striking memory of the first dark angel I ever saw being a power armour Deathwing marine on the front cover Dark millennium. The expansion for 2nd edition. So I’m quite into bladeguard/sternguard in those colours. :) I must say to be fair that is a LOT of firepower on one body! Certainly better than Wolfy wolfs riding big wolves. 😂 - Russ
@ I remember that expansion! Randomly found the wargear cards, psychic powers and vehicle cards the other day. Bring back vortex and virus grenades! Or the best, hallucinogen grenades just so you can make your opponents models shoot their own army, because that never a feels bad…. Also loved how marines were basically immune to most things.
Cheers lads, was a great tourney, very eye opening it was pretty amazing to see just how amazing some paint jobs were too! Actually love the line laser, a couple of lads used them, also great for LoS and cover checking etc. Also one of the guys had a 3d printed middle finger for making his oath of moment which I thought was cracking. Ultimately, the best thing are Xmas T-shirts that say "Fear the shadow in the warp" ALSO - Dice box, something about that sound, very very nice
I love him, one of my favourite moments was when a chat show host asked him a question and he dead pan said "I don't think that's any of your business actually" so funny - Eddie

Reject overpriced GW slop!
Embrace the freedom of 3D printing!
The 3D revolution is indeed nigh, but I wouldn’t regard GW sculpts as slop, their sculpts are absolutely class. Just really speny. - Russ
