Our once glorious people, reduced to pathetic rabble. Our wealth squandered on pleasurable distractions. Our power chipped away, like the walls of the stronghold. Yet to gaze upon these crumbling towers is to witness who our ancestors always wanted us to become. To do so, is to be given a purpose worth dying for. So you can run from a past we have all but discarded. I shall stand, I shall fight, and fate willing, I shall rebuild. If only, that our grandchildren may squander it all over again. With or without you, ours will be a legacy worthy of lamentation.
@@EclipseAtDusk How could you steal that which was given freely? My only warning is that some variation of it may end up as a quote in the novels I am currently writing. @@Dillon1099 I feel a kindred spirit with you. Stranger on the internet. If I might ask what would you call your story so that I may know of you in the future?
A lone knight venturing through an abandoned castle. The dimly lit halls as he holds his hand over the pommel to his sword, the torches light beaming off his helmet as each step takes him deeper into the heart of this forgotten castle. As he takes his last step, there's a wide open chamber. It wasn't a dungeon, but a wide open chamber with pillars made of skulls. The knight grabbed a torch from off the wall and ventured into the room, barely able to see until the knight felt something watching him. He unsheathed his sword and faced forward to see a giant skeleton looking down at him from a throne of skulls. The dim lights in the skeletons eyes brighten as he begins to stand, the knight unshaken as he watches the giant skeleton tower over him, only for two more to be revealed on other side of the first.
This really fits into a world I've been building, about the fall of a kingdom lost to time and the cruelty of the Queen of Thorns. Her cruelty was so great that it still haunts the lands many ruins and shadows.
I was listening to this while working, as background music. After a while, I had to stop writing, so I could listen more carefully. It sounded very familiar, almost like a distorted Batman soundtrack from the 90s. Took me back to my childhood. When I searched for the track's name, it read "Knightfall". Trully amazing, @Wulfsige
I listen to this album almost every week when I'm reading Berserk, so much so now that I imagine the music whenever I'm reading it without it - It just fits so well, incredible stuff!
This is awesome. Just the opening few seconds drew me in. The ambience, aesthetic, and the sounds, all hit the spot. Love the artwork, too. I'm an instant fan!
The level of depression and decay this soundtrack gives me is on the level of something you would hear in the video game "Project Zomboid." As someone whose in the midst of writing up a megadungeon with an element of a shattered long-forgotten history, this soundtrack is just the thing I need to get in the mood! Keep up the great work!
This whole video gives me serious Mork Borg vibes. I think I'll use it of background music in my next game session, my players will loved it. Thank you so much!
Now is the time of blood. Now are the days of sacrifice. Now is the end. No king am I, no lord of death nor living warrior. I am Orion. The Age of the Corpse God is begun.
Bro this stuff is a bop, just hit Jewels For Her Hair, and now I'm hooked. Good music for a RP session, totally gonna use this in my next DnD or PF2e session.
It's such a variable genre that it's hard to judge it as a whole. It only has a "vibe" in common which is that it could be background music to a video game or a table top RPG session. Like most types of music, most of it is mediocre or bad. But there are quite a few albums that are great, for different reasons. I like "Tales from Southern Realms" by Ziggurat, "Compendium Reliquiae" by DIM (very Tolkien-esque) and "The Lunar Lexicon" by Aindulmedir
@@CrizzyEyes Well, yeah, that's all true. I just don't really like it, the same way I don't really like hip hop or grindcore. You'll catch me listening to Tech N9ne or Insect Warfare on occasion because it's quality music made by good artists, but I still generally don't like hip hop or grindcore. If you turn on a mediocre hip hop artist I probably won't enjoy the experience, but you can generally turn on mediocre deathcore or gospel choir and I'll enjoy the experience because I like the sounds and tropes of the genre regardless of the individual artist.

it's amazing. sounds like something matt uelmen would make. really reminds me of diablo 2 ost for some reason. but at the same time it's so unique. the composition along with the title of each piece paints a very vivid picture. i know what i'm about to say is kinda cheesy and cringe but... it's like painting with sound. i've been missing this kind of music in my life. now i know what genre to dive into when i need something fresh. thanks.
This will be perfect for my DnD game, oh my god. One of my players is an ex elf turned into a warforged due to a curse set on his father by a demon because of a contract. But in reality the demon was forced into that contract by a man called The Mechanist; wich is a human who killed his humanity in search of a greater strenght, and became addicted with the image of evolution, turning into some sort of higher robotic being. When the team finally go after him, they will be thrown into an ilusion but they won't know that. It will be a perfect copy of their real world, but with a lot of "off" things.

This feels like the soundtrack to a modern RPG Dungeon delver using PS1/PS2 game graphics. I fucking LOVE this dude, oh my god!
Lunacid
This one catches perfectly the feel of late 80s epic films. The album is overall a jewell, but "Soothsayer" alone did it for me.

Definitely adding this to my writing playlist. Thanks for this.

This is the best soundtrack to a film that doesn't exist, yet I want to see and feel nostalgic for.
we makin it out of Dunharrow with this one
Listening to this while playing an analog solo rpg :3

This has become my go to background track while I write
I don't know why is this music giving me ASMR effect, but I like it.
It's also called frisson, good music will do that
Gonna use this to study to
