Steve, thank you for your very helpful video. I purchased another brand of blind and installed it using an "outside mount". There were NO instructions on how to assemble the "valance returns" (the two side pieces over the decorative valance); not in the box and nothing online that I could fine, until I found your video. You have a new fan and I have properly installed blinds. :-) Thanks again.
When you use this machine driller how deep you make the hole, I mean, should I count 1, 2 3, enough to screw the hardware of the blind? Is this manual machine driller, how many batteries is used? Do I find this battery machine in the home depot?it comes with the baterries and the correct screws size?
amzn.to/3u4DgUi this is where I bought my combo drill and driver to install. When pre drilling the pilot holes you only need to drill through the mounding. Not into the wall . The purpose of drilling is to not crack the wood. Does this make sense?
@@Bestcustomscreens well…I was doing the job as a favor and the lady couldnt make up her friggn mind….after an hour and a half of standing around, doing nothing, and listening to her indecisiveness i told her to call someone else. I then hit the bar and watched football.

First off I'd like to apologize for replying after 2 weeks. Unfortunately I didn't see the alert of your comment. Now to my answer.... If you have a hollow wall you can always use anchors. Above the window thre should always be a header. A header is a large piece of wood above the window. Usually about 4 to 8 inches tall depending on the size of your window. There may also be thick plaster or double or triple layers of drywall. In this case you will need longer screws. Also invest in stud finder. That may help you find the wood. Hope this helps. Please let me know if it worked.
The standard screws installers use are 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" screws. We also use hex heads because the hex bits work well with the cordless driver. Thanks for watching.
You will need to take the blind down from the brackets. It sounds like the ladder cord may have come off of the drums on top. Once you have taken it down you'll see what's going in there.
Very well done, simply and easily explained. This helped a lot, thank you!
@@TheBlamk2012It's my pleasure. I'm happy to help. I hope you bought your blinds at blindandscreen.com
One of the best instructional videos I've watched.
Thank you for the compliment. I hope that you were able to apply what you learned on your own Fauxwood blinds

Awesome to hear that the video was helpful to you. Did you install your blinds easily?
Was the width you ordered the exact O.D of the frame?
Yes we measured the exact mounding frame measurement.
Easy enough. Good vid
Thank you 😊 I'm glad it helped. How long did it take to install?

What if the window frame is hollow? How would you screw those brackets then?

amzn.to/33ZPnot here is a low cost stud finder on Amazon.
How long of a screw?

Hello how do you adjust your blinds so They a twist shut the correct way
If your blind is not closing all the way you could have a bad title. Your blind should be able to close tilted in both directions.
@@Bestcustomscreens Is there a way to get inside up top and adjust it? This is a brand new blinds that were installed
The top blind seems too high and tight It will only close the opposite way. And half way the correct way that Allows me to see out the window

@@Bestcustomscreens thank you.
Looks better without the cover
Why is that?
I'm really sure you can build it yourself. I did this 2 weeks ago thanks to the Woodglut plans.
Why didn’t you say that the sides don’t come with it you have to buy them separately?
Not on our blinds. Must be another company.
microphone dude microphone
We do have but sometimes we shoot our videos on the fly while installing at a job. That day was especially challenging because I was sick 😫
It sounds good. No mic needed 👍🏼
