Something I observed. In the entire Centura war, Corvus is the true victim in the entire war, before the war even started their land got annexed by Cetus and their people turn to poverty and crime, and at the end of the war, they got annexed by Antares and become a puppet.
So.. Cetus is not the only one, it’s the conquest of the entire continent of Centaura, Corvus would eventually be Antares Imperium’s puppet. Here is the order of nations that will fall under the Antares Reign 1.Empire of Cetus(fallen) 2.Kingdom of Aquila (currently in war) 3.Vega 4.Grusa 5.Columba 6.Riaa 7.Tucana 8.Centauri the deaths in this game are 120 million to 135 million and the tech will evolve from WW1 to WW2 they also have their own technology that are inspired in real life for example: Antares: Japanese-German Corvus: Austria-Hungary Cetus:Polish-Canadian Aquila: French-Polish Riaa: Chinese-American Centauri: Norwegian-German Columba: Finnish-British Tucana: Brazilian-German Grusa: Spanish-American Vega: French-Italian

In battery Q that you're talking about, you not only had to fight and dodge way through infantry, armored vehicles, and artillery, but also Cetus's CIS Mira Ship, which does the same thing to artillery but near the waters. Thats because due to communication failure, the CIS Mira immediately fired its armamanets, hitting both aides during the battle of Battery Q.
in the lore, forma (the planet that is depicted in centaura and dead ahead) didn't have wireless communications. and even worse is that CETUS ARMY TRIED TO LET THEM KNOW THAT ITS FRIENDLY BY USING FLARE GUNS BUUUUUUUUUUTTT CIS MIRA THOUGHT THOSE FLARES AS FIRE SUPPORT NEEDED THUS MAKING FOR CASUALTIES.
Small update, during the April Fools update there was another map added for Cetus, that being based on the Attack of the Dead men, where Cetus soldiers in gas masks defended themselves against Corvus after chemical weapons were deployed.

At 3:43 when you say "artillery being present in every battle except Whitemouth" that's not true. When you get to the third phase on Whitemouth Estuary artillery starts. And on Blackton, there is no artillery.
This is not entirely true. Artillery is not present in any form for Kelson Village. In the first phase of Whitemouth, the CIS Naiad shells A if it is not controlled by Cetan forces. In Ascendens Forest, there is no artillery, though artillery pieces are present. This is also the case with Route 23; artillery pieces are present for both sides, but are not used.

What I get from this game is that this is a fictional WW1 game where Cetus is the German Empire and Corvus is France. Thus, the game is somewhat realistic and shows us the pure chaos that people go through in WW1.
although i think cetus is inspired by Brittan, (because of their uniforms and strong navy, etc) i do like your theory, as Germany did take Alsace-Lorraine from France in 1871, witch was a factor for anti German anti-sentiments from France.
