She's beautiful Jess ❤ Do you take yours out at all? I used to be a reborn artist but I'm leaning towards making ceramic dolls now as I've started collecting porcelain baby dolls. They are more few and far between than silicones even as there are way more lady style porcelain dolls but if you've ever seen Dianna Effner's work, she made porcelain babies before she passed away and those are the dolls I collect. I took my most recent one out a few times but it's an awake doll so was a bit awkward if people were asking about the doll... why isn't the baby blinking?! 🤣 But yeah, I mess about with prams etc and have taken two of mine out in my Silver Cross coach built pram once to a beautiful beach here in Cornwall, people were more amazed by the pram than the dolls 🤣 This artist is so skilled, as are you. You've come so far in your reborning journey and I have really wanted to get back into painting reborns but we've moved house and have done all of these other things which has just gotten a bit out of hand so I haven't bought the materials to start again... plus, I heard Genesis was no longer selling their heat set paints and that's so sad. I think painting both ceramic babies and vinyl reborns is what I want to try sometime this year to hopefully get back into it, I have many dolls, old my little ponies and other things waiting to be customised but I never got around to dealing with any of them so perhaps this year is the time to start customising and hopefully making ceramics too for me now that we're back home and settled in Cornwall haha All the best to you Jess, you are so skilled and this baby is gorgeous 😍
Which Diana Effner dolls do you have. I recently found a Jenny in an op shop - painted / assembled by someone in NZ i believe - but she was only $5. Such a sweet face - as all of hers are.

Hello. Do you have a PO box at all? I have a reborn I bought a few years back that I dont use that I'd be happy to send to you for free. She has no extra clothes and stays in my closet, so shes just unappreciated unfortunately. I've tried offering her to various doll collectors but I never get a response, I think they think im trying to scam them? If youre not interested, would you be able to point me in the direction of someone who would be at all? I believe shes a Pixie by Bonnie Brown sculpt, painted by Mk.Artdolls, an Australian reborn artist.
Do you find that other artists do work that you would do differently, or do you get inspiration from things in their dolls that may give you something new to try on yours?
Yes 100%, since I started painting I find that I look at my collection differently now, and will often bring the dolls out just to see how an artist has painted a specific part, to see if I can match it :)
Onist qustion, sence you make them why buy them? You could make any doll you want. Like I'm trying to lurn to make them so I just have to buy the kits.
Congratulations ❤ such a pity her head fell off , if that had happened to me it would have been a disaster as I wouldn't have had cable ties to mend her and considering what you paid ! She is bea jess x enjoy her xx
I didn't actually need another cable tie, I was able to slip her head back in and tighten her existing one ❤ although had that happened to me a few years ago I would have panicked 😂
What a nice box opening. Zuri is beautiful. Cameras never do justice to the dolls. It's a good thing you know how to reattach her head.
