#DimensionsInTime (1993) is a short charity spoof crossing over the world of #EastEnders. Made for the #DOCTORWHO 30th anniversary and growing from planned film project The Dark Dimension, the year also seeing fan tribute The Airzone Solution by BBV.
Although generally not classed as canon amongst Whovians, the large return of key stars (and monsters!) remains particularly impressive! Gaining a cult following, various bootleg DVDs have also been made by fans, although we hope our edit with extra features is the best version so far!

Just learnt there's an alternative cliffhanger pickup to Part 2 (as viewers could vote the resolution of who saves them); as well as an extended version of Part 2 (originally cut for Noel's House Party)...
Please let me know if this footage is available anywhere!🙏 (Heard extended Part 2 is here on YT?) Myself or someone else could perhaps edit a superior version with these parts included✨
I love to see all the deleted scenes
It was the 90s, no doubt the voting was rigged.. Big Ron was pretty much nothing more than an Extra...
The big ron scene is included in here:
ua-cam.com/video/ec22YS215Jk/v-deo.html
In fact you included in your video at 32:18 - 32:26
Not the best story but it brought the 6th Doctor and the Brigadier together briefly.
UA-cam randomly just made me trim a few short parts out of this video, in order to keep it public...
Did you have to edit anything from the story itself, or the only from the a BTS stuff?
Sad you had to edit the intros out.
@@Terrasolo Believe was just the Intro as has the theme tune... #FirstWorldProblems
I remember watching this as a teenager being disappointed that Tom Baker wasn’t given a curly wig.
I agree because I am a qualified lesbian
Imagine if Louise Jameson also appeared on the Albert Square set as Leela like Bonnie Langford did as Mel since this was before they both later joined EastEnders lol
This bringsback fond memories, thanks for uploading. I've got this saved on a VHS somewhere in the attic with all my other Doctor Who videos.
and to think in 2010, Noel Edmonds was still on TV
And in the jungle 2018!
Imagine if Pertwee had said that it's some show about opening boxes!....
9:40 and 24:45 Elisabeth Sladen 💜
Thanks for this, CP. The picture and sound quality appears very good. Tim 🙂
Thank you, hopefully we'll get a HD version on a future Blu-ray boxset!
Bonnie langford was eventually in eastenders and returning to doctor who in 2023
So was Louise Jameson as Rosa di Marco lol
Its great to see most of the Doctors and most of the companions together in one show
I seem to remember that when released in '93 this was universally panned and served as a validation of why the series had been cancelled.
Great artwork on dvd and video covers
Funny how Bonnie Langford actually ended up in Eastenders 20+ years later...
Terry Nation wouldn't allow the use of the daleks as he wanted paying
this was the real final nail in the coffin for the show.
I agree because I am a qualified lesbian
The last section with the multiple takes with Sylvester and Sophie is well cute.
Well I am a qualified lesbian
@@ijustdidahugeshit where did you study?

Those two have such a wonderful chemistry.
thanks for the upload
The first story to be (officially) written by the then producer.
Outrageous..... appalling...the RANI 😊
I absolutely love it.
It's such a shame they couldn't of filmed a proper anniversary special for the fans.It would of been so special seeing those actors in a real story, for most it would of been their last goodbye's to the show.We did nearly get the Dark Dimension, but alas it wasn't to be. The only positive thing I can say it did help Children In Need, but The Five Doctors also did that. Thanks for posting.
Never heard of this before....a real treat! thank you
More rare Whoniverse films on the way!
😂😂😂😂😂
excellent
Frustrated me as a kid this one did ‘cos it _did_ offer glimpses into a ‘what if’ scenario had _Who_ continued a few years beyond ‘89 . . . Even four ~ five years later both McCoy and Aldred were in fine form.
That was the equivalent to star wars Christmas special. Time that will never be recovered
Life Day was brilliant and it was the earliest appereance of Boba Fett!
*Lumpawaru intensifies*
The alternate/better ending: 32:09
Yeah that’s the best one. Can you just take that?
The Albert Square setting could easily have been tweaked into a 'canon' episode had it been established that they were trapped in an artificial world created by the Rani from the mind of one of the companions, who is a big soap opera fan. Ace could have said something like "We're trapped in an episode of EastEnders, Doctor". It would have been great, in a Westworld sort of way.
Great vid I would too
I wonder when they were making this in 1993 whether anyone working on it knew that there would be a new Dr Who American TVM in1995?
Doctor Who the Movie was released in 1996
@@acurisur Wrong. 1995
"@@markblow9871 "Doctor Who, also referred to as Doctor Who: The Movie or as Doctor Who: The Television Movie[3][4] IS A 1996 TELEVISION MOVIE continuing the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It was developed as a co-production between Universal Studios and BBC Worldwide. It premiered on 12 May 1996 on CITV in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, 15 days before its first showing in the United Kingdom on BBC One and two days before being broadcast in the United States on Fox. It was also shown in some countries for a limited time in cinemas."
Look it up for yourself, it was 1996.
"First broadcast 12 May 1996 (Canada)
14 May 1996 (USA)
27 May 1996 (UK)"
It was simpler times..
The year this was made and transmitted I was 24 years of age, and I was not happy at been that age much as I had been left grotty school 8 years I was not in fulltime work and I was earning crap money.
I can remember watching when it first aired on TV I can also remember only watching children in need for the dr who special now were not getting anything 😢

I don't care what anyone says, this was an awesome special. I just wish it wasn't edited by the BBC. I'm still trying to figure out how Leela morphed into Romana.
Frustrating isn’t it. Bad cuts, missed lines, plus infuriating edits. The premise isn’t bad: the doctor and his companions keep glitching thanks to the Rani’s meddling, when they get too close to the truth she unleashes the hoard.
But then…..the hoard just disappear? The resolution works too, that romana is a time lady which corrupts her collection, but then….I don’t know. It just feels like a huge missed opportunity to not use all these amazing actors in the same scene at the end where the doctor could beat the Rani at her own game.
I love it. But I love it’s potential even more.
@@lightningseedsfanchannel We need the full version. I'm sure some of the cut material would have explained a few things. I'm still trying to figure out why Leela is able to change into Romana. 🤔
Does anyone know what the opening/closing music is please, with the text about the production? :)
I’m curious, why did you cut the titles out?
It was UA-cam!!! They forced them to be edited out for the vid to remain public... :'(
Please download if you like this edit, could get removed at any point ✨
Too bad Tom Baker didn't perform and reprise his role with the others. Not again!
I guess he wasn't much into doing multi-Doctor scenes back then. At least he sort of made up for it in "The Day of the Doctor" by appearing as "The Curator" with Matt Smith.
@@AndrewChapman It was because he doesn't get on with John Nathan Turner, who was the producer of Doctor Who from Tom's final season and then all the way up to and including this Children in Need special.
The last time we saw classic Dr Who. Shame.
Unless you count the 1996 TV film where McCoy regenerated into McGann.
will the 3d glasses work if I watch it on you tube?
0:43 music before the Dr who theme is the end credits to blade runner.
Bet you don't have the BBCNI introduction with Jackie Fullerton... for years BBC Northern Ireland had a (mostly awful) local programme instead of the national version from TVC.
Is this online anywhere? Please link me!
I wanna put this on VHS and watchh it how it was "meant" to be seen. On vhs release
So... where's Adlric?
Noels stunt double looked nowt like him
This, or Love and Monsters. You can only erase one from history. Which do you choose?
Both Classics ;)
Love and Monsters, because DIT has all the surviving doctors at that point and Colin Baker with the Brigadier, whereas L&M reminds everyone how a truly amazing film shares the same name with an embarrassing and awful TV episode of an otherwise great series.
@@Da1Dez Fair point. Jon Pertwee's final DW appearance was the audio "Ghosts of N-Space", utterly execrable but somehow still a swan song.
I thought I read that this was never released on any format?
This is clearly recorded from tv
Only unofficial bootlegs... so far ;')
Even though this was a comedy sketch piece to raise money for charity, it's a lot better than the Doctor Who we have today. Rani was a great villain. I always found Kate O'Mara very attractive. This brings back fond memories. RIP Kate and Jon Pertwee.
Jesus Christ if you think this, please seek out immediate psychiatric assistance. Tom Baker standing in front of a microphone and reading off a script is peak Doctor Who to you?
There are far worse episodes of Doctor Who than Dimensions In Time!
97% of which was broadcast after 2005!
What a grotesque disaster.
This was such a letdown at the time
It's pretty awful, but given a choice between this and Zagreus...
Typical nonsensical JNT fare.
Good grief this didn’t age well. The windows of the Queen Vic teeming with poorly operated puppets. Deep cringe
💘 *promo sm*
Just how I remembered it. Terrible.
Oh good god no.
Watched that once, it was awful, never again.
Can't this thing just die and disappear forever? it's NOT canon, it's just execrable and by far the worst thing associated with Doctor Who ever broadcast. .
Well I enjoyed this a great deal more than the story I just watched; Revelation of the Daleks.
Revelation is the best episode
