Absolutely every kind of modern day crickerts were followed him and most of people who dont care about his legacy , I have to say he was in different era in 90s and 2000s, If he plays now he can easily dominate bowlers rather than useless batsmans are doing today. He was better than kohli , abd , because he was the inventor of modern day cricket even wasim akram, ambrose, macgrath and other legensry bowlers were playing at that time.But today rules , regulations, money and specially IPL affected to decrease the ability of spinners and fast bowlers out side of india, including saeed ajmal, akila dhananjaya, sahithra senanayaka, sunil narine, mohommad hafeez, that they palyed so well untill they were banned and the sad thing is they are promoting useless palyers like Rashid khan 😂😂😂, who got arrogance him self while playig only league cricket, coundnt take more than 5 wickets in the whole worldcup.Absolutely sad to see that India is decresing other player's ability while banning them when better players are coming from.pakistan and sri lanka and after they condemned those countries.

I'm very surprised Akram never included Aravinda de silva in his XI. Especially considering how many times De Silva slaughtered him in both international and county cricket - not sure any other batsman has done that. De Silva played him better than Sanath

In that times aravinda de silva was nightmare to any fast bowler hes batting skill was so good plying shots in tha gaps was excellent and how he huck the ball no one could do he he was did not even lara ,or ponting but wasim fot him out most of times even aravinda couldnt handled washim insuwingball and outsuwing ball yes aravinda got hammered few times washim too most of times washim won that battel jayasuriya case he was attakin batsman its insuwing or outsuwing dosent matter any width jayasuriya hits hes areas like washim tell if it out side offtumps jayasuriya didnt care who is bowler he just hit it no fear at all jayasuriya attaking sistums main thng was hes not fear to attack most of times waqar got him out because jayasuriya so weak when ball comes to him to hes legs otherwise jayasuriya would hammer any bowler still waqar got many times hammered by jayasuriya when balls came to hes areas he just hits
