For those wondering, the reason why the voice program activates so often compared to the other “if I say” challenges is because doug decided to “train” the program beforehand by saying all of the words so it knew what they sounded like but it ended up making it much worse.
The software is also originally designed to be a usability aid and tends to be lenient on what you said.

To be fair it must feel so good to freely vent your frustrations after a death without worrying about losing your stuff. Then you can go back into not saying any blocks.

@@amazingkool Agreed. Honestly, even a good amount OF Minecraft players wouldn't say water is a "block". It's sort of like a mob in that regard. It doesn't behave like a block, so should it be treated like a block by their software? Just depends on the person coding.

Imagine if instead of YOU exploding when you say the name of a minecraft block, the nearest block of that type to you (if loaded) explodes instead. If you say the name of a block or item in your inventory, you explode instead, with how violent it is based on how many you have in your inventory.
Could be funny if it counted on "closest inventory", so if your friend has 12 stone pickaxes and you have none and you say "stone pickaxe" they very violently explode.
Or those picks you've been storing in a chest explode instead.

Hey editor here - I didn’t keep it in but at one point pointcrow explains that to make the program faster it’s not looking for the name of literally every single block, only the ~50 that they thought they’d be most likely to say

@ProjectStickman it has to also pick up and understand what they're saying, all things combined, searching for even more words would make it stupidly slow. On top of all of that, they're streaming and playing a game
@eeeeee8762 No, it wouldn't make a difference. A million times a second is not an exaggeration. It's essentially instant. Takes no extra power at all. I think they just didn't want to code in the names of all the blocks. They probably manually coded in all the names. I doubt they had a convenient list of the names of all blocks in Minecraft.
