No point wasting your time with that level of ignorance

You're the loser and your Mom is the winner.
Richard Dawkins teaches the universe came from "literally nothing."
Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it.
We can't get anything from "literally nothing." We can't even get science without God. The laws of nature only can come from a Lawgiver, God.
God is the reason for us and all we have.
      ua-cam.com/video/JiMqzN_YSXU/v-deo.html
“However improbable the origin of life might be, we know it happened on Earth because we are here.” -Richard Dawkins.
We only get life from life...the law of biogenesis. We can't get anything without God.
      The odds are NOT there.

Even Dawkins admits we can't know what is true because of natural selection...
The God Delusion, “Since we are creatures of natural selection, we cannot totally trust our senses. Evolution only passes on traits that help a species survive, and not with preserving traits that tell a species what is actually true about life.”

Wait, scientific ignorance? How so? The Bible has amazing historical accuracy supported by archaeology. The Bible also has amazing scientific accuracy such as the Earth being round in Isaiah 40:22 and the Earth being in space without support in Job 26:7 and the stars being countless in Genesis 15:5 and the laws of thermodynamics in Isaiah 51:6.

    • @person8064
      @person8064 2 роки тому +4

@@treygonzalez5252 Isaiah 40:22 talks about a circle, not a sphere. Flat earth theories have circular worlds. They also don't include anything supporting the earth, so Job 26:7 isn't that impressive as well.
Wow, it's so impressive that people looked to the night sky and found it nearly impossible to count every star. Additionally, Genesis 15:5 states that there are too many stars to count, not that there are an infinite number of them.
Wow, it's so impressive that people saw things decay and die and thought that the Earth itself may die. Isaiah 51:6 mentions no laws of thermodynamics - it just describes an observation that people made of the world.

Look I may not a genius here, but my faith is still on out of all odds especially after reading this book (actually wikipedia). Here's why:
Quantum mechanics and the big bang theory, true everything requires scientific proof or physical or reasonable evidence, but here is the extreme counter argument that puts it where it can be the proof for both sides of the argument. "Nonething is something, something is nonething." If the universe can come from nonething what is it going to stop from a spiritual or every thing entity from existing or not or both from nonething? That's what I have not seen in this book which I believe it needs to be dressed.

God is real, and so is his son the Christ just not in the way people were taught to believe. There is a heaven and a hell and life eternity, but not in the way people perceive. This knowledge is not given to just anyone, so says the bible, and these people with their honors and higher learning think that they know everything. They know nothing. Nothing. The bible was full of these smart, emotionally intelligent people, and none had seen God, for he is too uncomplicated and simple, they are looking up at the sky and at the infinite expanse, so dark and unfathomable, it is impossible to see. I do not blame them at all. You need a key, and that key is given by God, so until then, those who believe there is a God, seek him, seek to know the truth and he shall reveal Himself to you and you shall be enlightened.

@@memento4940 duh dude the answers are not supposed to be going that simple, but again I'm not making assumptions. I'm just saying due to mountain of evidence in quantum physics in it can literally accept every probability no matter how low the odds are it still can happen. Virtual particles get created out of no where the more empty space time is the more stuff gets put into the void dispite the odds. You failed to find a counter argument, unless your not proven your point well enough. The way I see the world evidence is very subjective. Here's how I look at the bible for example: the old definition of evidence has to been observing back then, so when jesus came in history if he really is not real why hadn't bible just get thrown away and forgotten through out history? The only way it could of stand is by many observers who were once live saw jesus doing maricales. As conquence it became a story of facts. True the bible today has many contradictions only because it was translated or the language was not well evolved in the days. Doesn't mean it has to be flase because of assumptions it was only way to document what people discovered there was no way to preserve the proof except the book pasted down thoundsands of years. Over time we changed our definition of evidence to either math or testable ability to be used. Science is best describe by using knowledge into the real world technology, any knowledge that is beyond that cant be used into technology is not useful. The only thing today has not changed is observation is believing which leads to me to conclude that something in those events in the bible had to be true, but who knows because again its very subjective.

As he says, the problem with religion is one must simply accept whatever is thrown on you without questioning, but science says question everything before you accept it. The problem is not God, but the way God is interpreted by we humans and limited him to petty thing called religion.

I am an atheist and my best friend was a christian. We were friends and everything was okay until she said to me, that there is no point of our friendship if one of us don't follow the other. I said, that it is impossible, because I won't and she won't as well. I said that it doesn't has to be like that, we can be friends. But she disagreed and now I lost the best friend I ever had. But now I see...

There are people who can acknowledge that they do not know all there is to know about everything who can see there are depths to our existence and others who want to believe that they know all there is to know about everything.
And there are others who want the world to believe that they do not know, but pretend to to know because they can use their pretence to carve out an easy way to make a living out of it….

Now if he had named the title of his book " The created god's delusion", he would not have sold many books or become so wealthy, as nobody believes in created gods, not even Christians.
So the only thing he is debunking is the idea of created gods, which we agree with, but he could have written a far shorter book.
Christians don't believe in created gods/idols either - We believe in God. The uncaused/uncreated eternal living God.

By asking who created god. He is asking who created god. So god created everything but god doesn't need creation? So if god doesn't need creation why can't the universe too just be there. The universe could have just appeared out of nowhere. Poor argument you have there.
You can't apply certain rules to universe and then a seperate one to god. If you do so. Give valid reasoning. If you argument is. God is almighty and the same rules don't apply. That is bull. In scientific eyes that is absolute bull. As Dawkin says blind faith.

No you don't. You become an atheist or as it should be put as skeptical about god until further evidence.
When you admit that god may or may not exists and as of now is non existent due to lack of evidence.
We can change our minds if you give us god damn proof. Hehe. I used god damn.
So no it's not just a change of words.
We don't say my cold is because god is testing me.
We say my cold is because of some virus that god created to fuck with my immune system and hopefully kill me for no fucking reason other than for his amusement.
In other words it's just a damn virus....no god nothing...

kaister901 We can look at it in a different way.
God cannot be created. He is not a created God, by definition. He is eternal: Timeless. He exists external to our observable reality.
Space is created. It was thus created by an external agent, it is not eternal: time frame of 13.8 Bn years. It exists within our reality.
Space( as we have come to know the black expance ) is not nothing, it is an object of nature, with it's own natural characteristics. Something like space whicht is not eternal and has an age cannot create itself within the realm of itself. It finds it's beginning beyond itself. Thus anything we can observe on earth within the grasp of our reality, is created by something other than itself. an external agent if you will.
You may choose to not call that external agitator/agent God. You might call it something else. But by any degree of contemplation, you have to finally arrive at the thought that something outside this universe is responsible for the existence of everything within it. The universe is not the creator of itself.
What ever you think created God will have to fall behind in the same que as space and it will have to explain it's own existence outside of itself.

[D]o we need a God to set it all up so a Big Bang can bang? … Our everyday experience makes us convinced that everything that happens must be caused by something that occurred earlier in time. So it’s natural for us to assume that something-perhaps God-must have caused the universe to come into existence. But when we’re talking about the universe as a whole, that isn’t necessarily so.

The role played by time at the beginning of the universe is, I believe, the final key to removing the need for a Grand Designer, and revealing how the universe created itself. … Time itself must come to a stop [at the singularity]. You can’t get to a time before the big bang, because there was no time before the big bang. We have finally found something that does not have a cause because there was no time for a cause to exist in. For me this means there is no possibility of a creator because there is no time for a creator to have existed. Since time itself began at the moment of the Big Bang, it was an event that could not have been caused or created by anyone or anything. … So when people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the Big Bang, so there is no time for God to make the universe in. It’s like asking for directions to the edge of the Earth. The Earth is a sphere. It does not have an edge, so looking for it is a futile exercise.
      - Stephen Hawking
You can look it up that argument is by far the weakest and most over used argument that has been dismissed countless times. Yet people like you and others keep running to it. The we don't know what happened before the big bang is the almighty god of the gaps argument that is totally not accepted.

kaister901 thanks for the reply - for once it's a civil response amidst all the anger and name calling out there from the others
If time did not exist prior to BB, it begs another question:
What 'banged"? Something ( a particle perhaps) had to have exploded/expanded in order for there to have been a 'bang'.
If that particle existed prior to it going bang, then it must have existed within a particular dimension. Nothing cannot create a bang - we all know this.
So, if the particle existed within a certain dimension or space prior to it expanding rapidly, then by definition we can attribute certain time frame characteristics to said particle, meaning that if there was no time and no dimension: the particle could not have existed and would have no cause to create BB. Thus by virtue of the above, we have to say that there was some form of dimension other than what we currently perceive as space before the BB.
The question in a purely naturalistic scientific arena is this: Put the BB on the side and ask yourself in what dimension did the BB occur if not in space-time, and how did that dimension come into existence prior to space-time?
There is no eternal existence in our observable universe. Everything we have seen and ever will see in our lives had a beginning and end. Even the universe itself.
I suppose where you and I part ways is that as a Christian I conclude the following:
Since everything we see and observe has a beginning and end. Since everything we see finds its existence external to itself and since the dimension that gave origin to the whatever was responsible for the BB had to have had an existence in some way or form, I concede that only an all powerful, eternal, omnipotent and all knowing agent could have caused theses dimensions. There is nothing prior to this agent and nothing after it. I have come to know this agent/dimension/force as a personal God - Jesus Christ.
We may well differ on this, but I implore you to not look at the world out there and conclude that it's all empty, and that science will fill the void. Science as an existentialist philosophy will drop you stone cold dead if it has to. Do not let hypocritical Christians be the benchmark by which you measure the plausibility that an all powerful creator stands behind the backdrop of our existence.
By no means should this be a deterrent or incentive, but if you are wrong about this, are you prepared to suffer the eternal consequences?
I don't want to give a sermon here, but please do yourself a favour and have one last good look at the 4 main gospels - get to learn the character of Jesus Christ first before anything else - it is the single most important thing to understand. You cannot possibly understand the Bible without knowing Christ first.
John 14:6 - I am the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the Father except through me.
The good news is that the all powerful force that created everything has written our names on the palm of his hand. He calls us by name and he knows every single hair on our bodies, because he placed it there. He loves us dearly and wants us to commit to him.
1 Tim 2:4 - ...God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
I do not want to risk spending eternity in condemnation, when I can set aside my self-pride & the things that I have learnt from man and submit to God and be in pursuit of Jesus Christ's character.
Thanks for reading. hope to hear back.

Richard Dawkins has never understood that metaphysical reality trancends the physical; meta = beyond: Physics = the physical. There is no way to quantify something that is not physical, so he, along with many scientists, believes that these non quantifiable things do not exist. This is called the masked man fallacy in logic; this equates to assuming the identity of the masked man, in this case being God. Since we do not God in a tangible manner, we can not make assertions about it, and therefore, it cannot be subject to scientific methodologies.
Another example is this. In math, the Pythagorean Theorem applies to triangles with right angles. But if a triangle is missing a side (as a figurative example), the formula doesn't apply. Epistemically, we can only verify things that are known to us, so God would fall outside of the ontological realm.
Also, I'd like to remind Dawkins that all science grew out of empiricism. Our logical framework evolved as a result of observation and other empirical experiences. So, to say that there is no evidence to verify God's existence is true, physically speaking, but the sane could have been argued thousands of years ago. The first people on earth were fully aware of a force that we now call gravity due to their experiences with nature itself. This is how logic was invented, which is how science emerged. Francis Bacon was the father of this.
Science is also not completely objective, as our social norms dictate what we place value on a society. This is why, by and large, the east is more spiritual in it's essence. There is more of an equilibrium between Science and spirituality.
Science philosophy can coexist, but they need to be used in the right context.
    Thank you
    James walker

Criminal courts deal with evidence beyond reasonable doubt, which is exactly what I was talking about. There are standards of evidence - a gradient if you will - it is not binary or dichotomous. A civil court, on the other hand, deals with a preponderance of the evidence.
Your initial question deals with different ways of knowing, and in this video Richard Dawkins somewhat outlined what he meant by "evidence" in this interview. 1:36 for summary, though there's a little before.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even if I take the atheist perspective, isn't the proof that there isn't a God equal to the proof that there is a God? So explain how exactly your decision to believe that God doesn't exist is more scientific than those who believe a God does exist?

      @jaysuseffinkrist 9 років тому +3

It only proves that a concept of a god exists. Concept of a god is not the same thing as a god.
Replace "God" with "pink unicorn" and ask yourself these questions.

    • @doggy255
      @doggy255 9 років тому

+SeriouslyKidding. I see your point. But I guess what I'm pointing to in saying God, is something that goes beyond words and language, something that existed before them and will after them, so yes, you can call it a pink unicorn if you'd like, but I'm not reverting to god in the sense that most atheists view god, which is the Christian god. But even if you're more well versed in religion, I'm not speaking of any human figure, just asi wouldn't be referring to a horse with a horn on its head of we called it a unicorn.
The main point I'm trying to make when talking to atheists is that their belief is based on no more evidence than those who believe in god, and so that stance doesn't answer anything aside from their inner state, which is one of pessimism. And so if you try to find god in other formats, like NDEs, but also including the bible, it's stated that god is love. Which isn't love as most of us understand, but unconditional love. And so it's reasonable to understand that most atheists don't believe in god bc, no matter what they portray to the world, or even try to convince themselves, they are unhappy deep down within. And it's evidenced by the anger or discomfort that you probably felt bubble up within you while reading that last sentence.
God isn't a person, it's indescribable by words, bc it's a state and feeling. You can try to describe love to someone until it can't be done any further, but until you experience it, you don't truly know it. The problem with most atheists is that they tried to find good in an explanation or logic, but just as with the example of explaining love, you can try to instance but God is felt, not understood. And so that's why atheists don't believe, if you truly felt god, you wouldn't question it anymore. And this is not just me saying it, it's pointed out by many NDEs, including atheists who've had them.
If you respond please don't go into how NDES are within the brain bc if you do enough research, just on UA-cam, you'd see that there's unexplainable examples that contradict that argument.

Xtianity - the motherfucker kills almost 2.5 million people, not counting Noah's flood.
      Pisslum? Hahaha.
"[atheists] are unhappy deep down within."
Lol, my irreligion does not tell me that I am a sinful creature that was made this way by an all-loving gawd, who will forgive anything, anything at all - murder, rape, incest, genocide, fratricide, etc. as long as I do not question whether he in fact exists or not. It is precisely why people are leaving religion in droves. Majority atheism by 2041, doesn't that cause "anger or discomfort that you probably felt bubble up within you while reading that last sentence"?
"And it's evidenced by the anger or discomfort that you probably felt bubble up within you while reading that last sentence."
I laugh at your stupidity, thanks for the chuckle. I could not care less what you think I feel. But whatever floats your boat. I tried to give you a rational, reasonable explanation, but you are here to troll people apparently. Your tail is showing, budz.
I have had a NDE 3 months ago - I almost crashed my car driving 110 km/hr on the highway into the vehicle in front that stopped. Did I thank God for saving me? No, I thanked myself for changing the brake pads on time, so not a scratch on me or the car. You obviously are not referring to the people being resuscitated - white light at the end of the tunnel, etc? 'Cause if you are, then I am afraid you are the one who has nothing to go on but rectum-derived drivel.
      "God is felt, not understood."
The god dies the moment you stop believing in one. If that is not the best example of a fake thing, then I have no idea what is.
      Peace!

    • @doggy255
      @doggy255 9 років тому +2

Wow. Your anger is obvious and demonstrates my point that you mocked lol.
And you must have misread me, I don't consider myself a follower of a certain religion. But I think " god" exists beyond the interpretation most religions or people have on it.
Also you must not know about NDEs bc your car experience isn't what I was referring to, and your degrading of the NDE that I am referring to simply shows your disposition on what we're talking about, you slander or without knowing it. Very scientific of you. But if you're interested in actually having an understanding off what you berate, look up the surgeon who talks about their patient having an NDE, he's an older man being interviewed by another man and there's a part talking about post its. Also, It's not Eben Alexande who's a surgeon who had one. Also Pam Reynolds is very interesting. But my favorite to show skeptics is the surgeon purely based on the understanding that he'd have nothing to gain and only things to lose by coming out and talking about this, especially if he were lying, which if he were it would be easily disapproval by the other individuals who were in the operating room so it would make no sense for him to lie.
Whether you believe or not, probably makes no difference in the reality of what will come after this life. Believe what you will and maybe you are right, but I think there's enough unexplainable evidence pointing to life after this one, suggesting a purpose and god, that making a decision that there isn't is no more than opinion without consideration of the points made by the independent events during NDEs. And a rather pessimistic opinion.
