Had a friend whose old Hyundai died say the fuel filter is in the gas tank so he has to rip out the backseat to get to it and spend all day fixing it. Sounds tedious for do-it-yourselfers / expensive to pay the repair guy. I wonder if that tidbit is in the Consumer Reports New and Used Car Buying Guide.
Hello, I really like your videos.I took my car to service for fuel filter replacement. After the filter replaced the engine starts 3, 4 seconds late when I compare with previous one. What could be the reason and how can I fix it? I have kia optima 2014 sxl turbo some of my friends having kia and hyundai same kind of problems.
Hi I have a 2013 Sonata Hybrid and having issues with hills. My mechanic told me last year my car doesn't have a fuel filter, but it sure looks like I do?
As the video indicates it's integrated into the fuel pump assembly. And thanks to Hyundai, they created a trap door in the back seat to access it easily. I've had to remove gas tank to replace the fuel pump before and it's a very difficult job. But on the Hyundai it's a piece of cake. NOW, even though access to the fuel pump is easy, getting the assembly out and back is not. At this point, I recommend finding a good Hyundai mechanic that will do it. You will thank me later.
Yeah but, the filter is underneath the pump. Once you remove the pump from the tank, you have to take off the plastic cover by releasing three tabs. After that, you'll see the filter, looks like a brilow pad. How do you take that off?

What is that lift you're using? It looks like what I've been wanting. Who makes it?
Damn you talk fast. Slow Down a bit, please.

Not a 2016 Sonata they are sealed in that area!
Stupid design some cars the location is much easier to replace it
