Life has brought on many unexpected misfortunes, and to be honest, I don't know how they were overcome. To many doctors have walked out of operating rooms only to say that what they had just witnessed while I was laying there on that table was a miracle only to rise. The first time I heard this track a few months ago I was in my car and it came on the radio. Wow! It moved me to tears. Not weepy little tears either. But, full-on waterworks. Sure, music can move me to tears simply because it's so fucking beautiful. However, I usually have memories associated with the song as well. I've never, ever been moved to tears after hearing a track for the first time before. In fact, I suspect it will prove to be the first and only time. THAT is how exceptionally special this song is. It's a masterpiece and I'm baffled as to why it doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

No doubt it's the lyrics, in combination with the sad quality the music provides that triggers this response. When I first heard it, I thought it was much, much older (like from the 60's). Perhaps the fact it's recent is why it remains relatively unnoticed. It's as if it was made far too late.
