    After watching this, go watch some of his Magic highlights. It's beyond obvious that he's only about 80% of the athlete that he used to be. He's still a beast now, but I really hope to see old dwight again

    • @KOforLiddell
      @KOforLiddell 11 років тому +4

      Offensively he is getting better (although he still had the running left hook and the baseline spin in Orlando), but defensively he is not even close to the player he used to be. He could jump so quick and so high while also covering ground like no one else in the league.

    D12 may not have the smoothest post up game, but it works. In my opinion, Howard is still the best center in the league. Even if you don't believe he's the best, you'd be crazy to not have him in the top 3 along with Noah and Marc Gasol.

      Dwight Howard you're the most complete center in the game. People love to hate on you but tbh you have the most well balanced game between offense and defense. Best center in the game.

    i think dwight feels great in houston and it was the right decision to leave l.a. just a great guy

  • @kobeballer
    @kobeballer 10 років тому +9

    He actually has a really nice post up game, I don't know why he doesn't score more from there. Maybe he just doesn't make those non-layup shots as much, so they rely on him more in the pick and roll.

    • @thamostgangsta12
      @thamostgangsta12 10 років тому

      No it's because the rockets play a fast game and don't it down to post up. James harden always has the ball and goes shoot first which is why Howard goes for putbacks and alley oops more often

    • @ralx225b
      @ralx225b 10 років тому +4

      Deonta B ....Which EQUALS FEW TOUCHES! If I have to rebound the ball to score because my shot happy shooting guard keeps shooting that means I have FEW TOUCHES! For most if not all of Howard's career he has had the fewest field goal attempts of all elite centers. Because of this he mostly scores on offensive rebounds, and alley-oops. So despite the fact that he is now a legit post player, nobody on his team seems to throw him the damn ball. It took Harden shooting badly in the playoffs for him to get MORE touches!

    • @thamostgangsta12
      @thamostgangsta12 10 років тому

      ralx225b in Orlando he used to do everything for them. Defense in the paint, points, rebounding. Dwight Howard had a lot more touches and they put a lot of shooters around him in Orlando. What he needs to do is play with Rondo and have a good scorer. The best combo IMO would be rose and Dwight Howard. A point guard who doesn't mind passing and can take over a game.

    • @ralx225b
      @ralx225b 10 років тому +2

      Deonta B By the way I meant now instead of not when I said he is not a legit post player. It was a typo, because obviously Howard is a legit post player. Oh I totally agree, I just hate how ignorant Laker fans say he sucks because he left L.A.! They couldn't be more wrong.

    • @svlajkov
      @svlajkov 10 років тому

      Deonta B dwight with a non shoting pg like rondo would be terrible, they would clog the lain and double team with rondos man everytime...

    his post game has improved but he definitely is not the athletic freak he used to be. the weird thing is despite the fact that his post game has improved he is not really a better player than he used to be in orlando. he just learned to compensate for the loss of his athleticism and explosiveness with some post game. normally that sort of adjustment comes at a much later stage in a player's career but it looks like the back injury has forced howard to make this change earlier than he wanted to.
