      There's no such light injury in back injuries. Most of them dangerous and painful. Especially Lumbar Radiculopathy. If you injured your L1-L5 spine that's most be painful injury you ever get. Because these discs bear the most weight and so many nervous tissues in there. All of your lower body central nervous system going there. I experienced so many injuries sprained ankles, Achilles tendon injury (3mm tearing), same time broken wrist and L4 spine disc slip. I don't feel my broken bones. But back was killing me. Most unbearable painful injury was back injury. i can't even move or breath heavy. Yeah, i won't amazed if Howard can't move like his best years.

      Maybe on some forms of legal PED's that can accelerate growth but usually they would take specific legal PED's to accelerate recovery not so much hypertrophy to heal for game times.
      His shoulders are genetics, he has big muscle inserts in his shoulders so they naturally are bigger. Some people just have the genetics for it, some are not as blessed. It's kind of like calves, some people just have genetically great calves, some have toothpick calves - they might be similar strength, but the muscle inserts between the 2 would be different.

    • @tengtx
      @tengtx 7 років тому +26

      yea but all that weight is what ultimately shorten his nba career. only if he would of taken better care of his body and eat more healthy instead of all the mc donald burgar. he would of been able to play at a high lvl for much longer. his career pretty much was done even before the 2006 championship run. he was out of shape got really fat and was injury prone a lot. 2005-2006 shaq was a shadow of himself. the man that was once known as superman was long gone and in it place was a fat dude that was breathing heavenly and could barley run full court. shaq could of been even more greater then he is now if he would of just taken care of himself more. in my mind if the dude would of just taken care of his body properly and stay in la with kobe. shaq would of gotten at least 7 or 8 championship. that is how great i think he could of been. but the dude would not stop eating junk foods and would not listen too teammate advice to staying in shape and eat healthy. namely kobe told shaq fat ass to stop eating and start working hard and shaq did not want to hear any of it from kobe. so they got into a argument witch ultimately result in shaq leaving la. man what a tragedy.

    • @eurostar0711

      Orlando was actually ahead of its time, i think people forgot they were like GSW. Dwight was the commander of the post, but he was surrounded by awesome 3pt shooters. Rashard Lewis, JJ Redick, Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson all shot near or higher than 40% from 3, and shot a lot of them. The whole team was shooting over 2000 3s every season, and GSW for example last season shot 2800 (Steph shoots 12 3pt shots per game which is crazy). If they found a Steph Curry, Orlando would have won at least a title with Dwight because that elite inside-outside combo would have been really hard to defend against.

    • @shuntavaisjohnson86
      @shuntavaisjohnson86 4 роки тому +25

      This makes me appreciate Howard more, because today centers be shooting to many jumpers. Centers should be posting up, pick and roll, and rebounding under the goal.

      Agree

    • @Max-me9ol
      @Max-me9ol 4 роки тому +3

      @@shuntavaisjohnson86 nah, i mean maybe you like that playstyle more, but its just not efficient anymore. the ONLY big man that is good without shooting 3s is gobert, and that is only because he is so dominant on defense that he can basically do anything on offense and he would still be effective.

    • @BlueGrovyle
      @BlueGrovyle 4 роки тому +8

      @@Max-me9ol I would say that post play is efficient if the right guys are doing it. Most of today's power forwards and centers simply don't have the skills necessary to play bully ball (e.g. post moves and great footwork). Even if you want to argue that post play may not be very efficient during the regular season, it is still a higher percentage shot than a 3 pointer, which makes a big difference when everything is on the line.

    Yo I’ve been saying this for years Dwight never really fell off he just had some years where he played through an injury. He should have sat out the year he play with the lakers when he BROKE his back. Man only missed like 6 games that year and still averaged a double double and made the all star team. And was top 5 in rebounds and blocks that season. People only hated on him because the lakers lost because Kobe and all the other guys got hurt by the playoffs. I wish people would stop being so naive to stats and stop believing rumors.

      Are you saying Derrick Rose wasn't the MVP? You're *insane*. Dwight's team was crazy good, a bunch of really good players and even a good bench. Rose carried a team of mediocre role players with the second and third scoring options being the decading Boozer and Deng, and Noah who was a beast sure, and he made them play unreal good basketball and he was REALLY effective and made them get W's and that's what it's all about.

      Also, an elite defender who only defends but doesn't score much is arguably a role player nonetheless, even if he wins DPOY. Look at Andre Roberson, dude's elite on defense but a role player nonetheless.

    Howard has always been stiff but once he hurt his back and lost flexibility and bounce, we began to see how limited his skill set really was.

    • @nostalgicbliss5547
      @nostalgicbliss5547 8 років тому +21

      I think calling prime Howard stiff is a little unfair. I would say his movement was a little mechanical, but he showed some signs of fluid play on offense. You are right about the injury taking away his explosiveness to a degree though. I just think Howard never had the talent to be a dominant offensive player. People underappreciated him in his prime because they always expected more. He was a three-time defensive player of the year and also won a lot of rebounding titles. That is domination on defense and the boards which is something that is more important for a center than even post-moves. Howard just lacked the coordination, agility, and touch to ever be at the level of Hakeem, David Robinson, and Shaq on the offensive end. Shaq was a brute, but he had a soft-touch around the basket, great footwork, and better vision than Howard ever possessed.

    • @Onlyrealmusic4life
      @Onlyrealmusic4life 8 років тому +6

      Nostalgic Bliss Orlando Dwight was his prime I think. Everything after that was kinda depressing. My point is, he may have been stiff when on the Magic, but he could get his head level with the rim at almost any time he wanted. That was never the case on the Lakers. In fact, I hardly ever saw the man jump off one foot after that injury. He seems locked into being a two-foot jumper now lol that would kinda mess with a ball players game if you think about it

      A limited skill set... I never understood this logic... How many NBA centers can spin left or right, shooting with either the left or right hand 🤔.... How many PLAYERS in the NBA can get where they want, when they want. Howard was unguardable... The NBA just became guard dominant he should've never played second fiddle to Kobe.
