The way he calls it "Merry-Land" like it were a pleasant region of MiddleEarth... gets me every time! 🤣
THAT WAS ME! THE FRODO WHO GOT HIM TO SING!!!!!
THANK YOU
@@kylier404 it was genuinely my pleasure.
Thanks for this. I'll never get bored of listening to Billy singing Edge of Night live.
Thank you!

after seeing a few cast interviews, this was great to come across, He is so polite in group interviews and does not get many words in despite being an excellent story teller, very nice to have a stage to himself.
So true
What a fun guy. You can tell he genuinely loves being part of LOTR and has never gotten tired of being asked about it, even 2 decades later. Love you, Billy! (By the way, I think Orlando’s question about claustrophobic feet was referring to the hobbit feet, asking if Billy’s feet were uncomfortable in those things.)
This dude is so incredibly kind and genuine.
The story of how he came up with The Last Goodbye, sitting in the coffeehouse all of them were hanging out 10 years ago, got me into tears. I feel his deep nostalgia every time I listen to this song. Absolutely perfect wrap-up of all the adventure. Thank you Billy.
I got a picture with Billy Boyd two days ago!
Absolutely love this man!
It should be mentioned... Billy Boyd may have come up with the melody for the Edge of night, but the lyrics are from Tolkien. In the books Pippin sings the song pretty soon after the hobbits leave Hobbiton in the Fellowship of the ring and there are a bit more lyrics in that song, but I guess Billy condensed it a bit.
Wonderful!!!!
what a treat this was !
I love Space Milkshake. It's so funny!
I saw Tall Paul in the supermarket tonight here in Wellington
Great upload!!!
I knew he would forget his phone.
If u have a LOTR tatto u are a true fan! LOTR 4 ever in my life!
Billy was in Outlander??
Around 15:00. THANK YOU Billy Boyd for talking about Tom Bombadil. I will never understand why this essential character wasn't in the LOTR movies. Tom Bombadil IS Middle Earth and to exclude him takes away the foundation of LOTR. Tom Bombadil is not just some random character. Just as Radagast is not. Tolkien never included anything that wasn't critical to telling the story of ME.
Indeed, and there was only one actor in the history of the Earth who could have possibly portrayed Tom Bombadil onscreen: *Robin Williams.* What a missed opportunity.
@@12classics39 Robin Williams? hmm... that's a great idea. I have to think about which actor would play Bombadil well. Williams is a good one!
@@12classics39 what about Michael Keaton?
Tom who?
Or,
Antonio Banderas or Eddie Murphy?
AAAAAAAARRRG ... HE LIKES "NEXT GEN" OVER "ORIGINAL CREW" STAR TREK ... I just lost a lil bit of my Fan Dom for Billy =( !!!
Why. He's not wrong.
