- The hugely entertaining Lord Of The Rings panel from Wales Comic-Con Telford Takeover in November 2021. Billy Boyd, Sean Astin, and John Rhys-Davies basically sat for forty minutes and chatted with each other, and we watched. I did not click on this expecting to see John performing as Gimli 20 years later. This is wonderful.

John Rhys-Davies has been played some of the most beloved secondary characters in celebrated franchises. Gimli and Sallah are iconic!
Warwick Davis has him beat. Star Wars, Harry Potter, Willow, several Disney classics etc etc. His list is HUGE! Warwick never cried once about the prosthetics they put on him either unlike John. 😆

@@johndeignan2668 John Rhys - Davies still complains to this day about his prosthetics from the films. All I’m saying is Warwick has been in way more iconic franchises & never once complained about the prosthetics he had to wear.

My God billy is such a rascal and Sean is so genuinely nice and helpful. Jeeze he instantly helped clean up the water bottle mess that billy caused. John is a legit comedian.

I'm SO GLAD Lord of the Rings was made like 20 years ago and not today. The casting would've been ATROCIOUS and filled with bad actors (much like this trash Amazon pumped out).

For those who can’t tell. Sean is very annoyed with Billy in the beginning and I don’t blame him. Sean is talking and trying to give heartfelt answer and you’ve got Billy constantly handing him water and just making it all about him when Sean had the floor. Look at Sean’s face and mannerisms around the 3 minute mark. He’s very frustrated that every time Sean is getting to talk or receive attention, Billy immediately does something to get the attention back on him. Sean is frustrated by this point.
