It's just simply getting the CARS Tour and NACAR rule books to unify. We had unified rules in the northeast for a long time. You know what unified rules do? they increase car counts. And EVERY series should be unifying rules. If you run in a division with that name (in this case Late Model Stocks) then every sanction should be working TOGETHER to unify the rules. A rising tide raises ALL ships. Not enough people in racing understand that.

I think they talked about this on the DBC Podcost and I couldn't agree more. We have talked about coming to race down there from Canada and it is all confusing TBH
I would think that all cars competing in a Late Model division event would follow the established track rules for Late Model division. Sorry this happened, hopefully the team will be a little more aware of rule differences when planning/adjusting for each race..

Good job and there are the same rules varations up here in the northeast which the sanctioning bodies say to to save the racers money but it is to tie them to certain tracks for their own profit. That is a nice looking car.
Between late models and super lates, the tracks and series make it impossible to travel around without having 6 different cars. You almost have to make it your full-time job to read the damn rule books. We have been having tons of issues with this up in the Midwest.

Keep digging man. I feel the LMSC division will evolve into being just like the LMS/BGN deal in the mid 80's. If you want to run LMSC it will be in the Cars Tour and Division I stuff for the NASCAR Weekly guys will be some type of Limited Late Model rules package.
I was lucky enough to grow up not missing a race at Caraway when Bobby Labonte was LMSC champion and there were full fields at most tracks in Mid Atlantic/Southeast regions..I saw recently at Caraway the Lmsc field consisted of 7 cars with maybe 2 that were competitive...
We have experienced this as well. I lost a championship because of one illegal shock. After that happened, We have been very aware of every rule that could get us a trip to Dairy Queen...lol DQ. Look towards the future.. Your doing great. Like the content.

You had some great battles and ended up finishing a great drive with a win but sometimes things don't pan out. This bad luck with rules will turn around and when it does you'll be in the victory lane a lot
I have two questions. What type of penalty did Annabeth get for monster trucking you? How much does a set of shocks cost? If not too expensive keep a set of both in the trailer properly labeled to switch out depending on what series you are running. Oh, one other question, are you going to run Martinsville this year? I have only missed a handful of those over the last 25 years. Sure hope you run it.
not the shock differences that were considered in this lol. Maybe from a non adjustable, oil shock vs an adjustable gas pressured shock, but we are talking about a $100 difference and only performance difference is less gas pressure...
Now I do not watch much asphalt racing outside of NASCAR Cup and Landon here, but here in the Midwest dirt world the touring series and the weekly series rules are the exact same rules when it comes to modifieds. I don't know why you would have two sets of rules for the same car that can be run in the weekly series and the touring series, even if its two different "sanctions."

It doesnt help when the teams who predominantly run the CARS Tour have to face different rule books and nuances from track to track. Money is also a factor, and so is the hot summer. You have to remember than 30 of the regions best late model teams run the tour full time

I’d say over 60% of nascar late models would fail one of these small knit picks in the tech now. These differences have been present for 5+ years and they have never been a topic of conversation until now. However yes it was still an oversight on our end and it shouldn’t have happened.

It’s an educated guess… all these cars tour guys bring their expensive crap to the track, and the non cars guys want a fighting chance, so they gamble and challenge various parts that have the cars your rule discrepancy. Idiots do that crap out here on the west coast too. We have two tracks an hour apart and you can’t run at one track then the other cause the rules are so different. These fools running these tracks think it forces drivers to stay at their tract only. Nope. It pisses people off and they quit racing all together.
All the rules, evaluations, post inspection whining is tiring for a common fan like me. I wish there was a rule at the green flag that reads: "We have done our best to check, whine, enforce, complain and change. These cars are entered in the race, enjoy the show".
There’s so many rulebooks (per track) that are so different it’s flat out hard to keep up with all of them…. Just wish all the racetracks and sanctioning body’s (NASCAR, non NASCAR, and the Cars Tour) could agree on a majority of rules and go with that. I get maybe one or two things being different but in my opinion, it’s just way too broad at the moment. And that’s why car counts are low or decreasing almost everywhere you go you have to throw the kitchen sink at it to go 30 minutes down the road to a different racetrack than the one you typically run at, that’s not the way it should be….. that’s just my ✌🏼cents worth tho
they are not tours. One is a tour, and the other is a guideline rule book that only half the NASCAR tracks in our region abide by. There are to many variables and not enough cars.

Shocks are minimum250-500 EACH up to 1500 EACH

Every late model series type should have one book. Super Lates, 1 book. Pros and Late Model Stock, 1 book. Late Model Sportman, 1 book.

They protested all 4 shocks. They took a shot in the dark based off of the differences in the cars tour rule book vs the nascar rule book.
