Great update! I am glad things are going well with leather! It's such a fun material to work with. Pocket fixed blade sheaths are a really good idea. I can't wait to see what you come up with. That is one area that I have been racking my brain on for a few years. It is only in the past few months that I have hit on a design that works for me. The almost horizontal belt loop over the side and the kydex pocket clip have been the two best cary methods.
@ericasedc If you get any ideas from the sheath that I made go ahead and use them. We can all share. I am not one to complain. Besides, I bet someone else has do e the same thing before me anyway! There is not much in knives that is truly new anymore, just variations of existing ideas.
You definitely have the right idea with get some slips partially made so they are easy to crank out. Even if it’s just a small detail there is something so special about having something customized.
