38:41, Tyler... check the back of the cards man, you opened the box on the wrong side, they have the pictures of the tracks on them...
@@OnceUponReddit Ya'll are just to shy you just like me only come here to see him screw up. I'm pretty sure he does it on purpose for comedic value... if not, wow he's dumb.
@@MarvinWestmaasI don’t think there’s any reasonable case to be made to imply he didn’t realize the images on the back of those cards for “comedic value”…
Too many things in this video went right over his head.
Those glass bottles with the cork is used to carry spices.salt, pepper etc when you co camping.
Also immediately though of Lewis and Clark though of some sort of vial system they would have for collecting specimens 😂
Yeeh they are, also, as someone who used these, i agree with Tylers comment about em. There's a reason we got screw-on caps nowadays...
Is the arc-shaped knife used to finely chop aromatics like basil maybe? That's a lot of knives. The utility rope can almost hold up Tyler's mom.
You are thinking of a Mezeluna. Half moon shaped knife with two handles used to mince.
U lu knife Eskimo Enu -wit alaskan indians. Used for Processing
animals .that funny looking knife
That’s not a lot of knives 😂 you should see my room and the rope couldn’t hold you 😂
@@tylerwestman5258 Well it's a lot of knives per package, or per assortment of packages. It's all these boxes are, just knives and gimmicky crap.
Watching this vid makes me very glad I never decided to sub to this box. It may all have a monetary value, but none of them are worth the price they are asking to me.
Did you subscribe to any other box that u think is worth it? been looking for one for a while but I don’t wanna spend money on something that wouldn’t be worth it.
@@saucyyyyu2339I've subscribed to a few. It's really for people who want to be surprised by the contents. The boxes I got had some good things, but the things that I did not care about make it not an economically sound idea. It's better just to buy the thing you want and not hope you will get it along with a whole bunch of stuff that you don't.
@@saucyyyyu2339No subscription box is worth it. Save your money for things you actually want.
As a collector of all types of knives, cheap and fairly expensive, I've found Civivi to be among the best blades coming out of China. A decent Civivi liner-lock is typically priced in the $40-$70 range.
@@robertfarmer6316 I have two ''Statera" models (one D2, one Damascus) and have been happy so far, about 3-years in.
Civivi definitely makes some great knives. I have a Damascus Odium and I have purchased around 8 of them to gift to friends and family. Not one complaint from anyone!
The boxes are kinda expensive in my opinion. And the stuff you get in some of them isn’t wroth the price also in my opinion
Imagine being at a Cub Scout meeting and Tyler just traipses in with a big box of his Battle Box castoffs to donate.
I’d love to see how dumb cub scouts would make this idiot feel when it comes to this type of stuff
Never fully understood the appeal of sub boxes like these - I imagine a lot of people realise after the first or second one that they won't use most of the stuff in them, and/or already own something similar, so it's just another box in the corner. The knives seem to be the highlight, but they're pretty hit or miss.
"If you are hiking you don't wanna carry a pole with you."
Guess he never heard of trekking poles.
Lol yeah but those are sturdy and can handle weight whereas a washing pole probably cant hold as much
you should do a video where you survive in the woods off of battle boxes. You should save up another 5 or so and just go into the woods with no knowledge of what's inside of them. Kinda like surviving in the woods off of 5 mystery boxes, better hope there's a fire starter!
Was thinking the same thing but allow himself to bring 1 item that he knows about such as a fire starter a knife (doubt he'd need one) rope/paracord or a portable stove etc but only 1 thing lol would either be a long vid or a really short one
Dropped loot box 📦 stashed around an Island.
Find food in one, Fire equipment in the other
Would make a great.... Or disappointing video
Bro just named out half the vegetables and said “if you like that gross stuff”… 😂
"Who's storing things in glass with corks?" Ok, he is 1000% trolling at this point. There's no way he's this unaware that that's exactly how things were stored before screw on caps, and still are
That tiny shovel or "E-Tool" as it's known in the military comes in very handy. I'm not sure about that particular one, but the one's that we had in the Army were put through a lot of abuse and I personally didn't hear about any of them breaking.
The cheaper ones like this are garbage. They bend easily and the locking mechanism becomes cross-threaded. They're made out of cheap aluminium at best.
That’s an Ulu an Inuit knife. Used for skinning and for slicing frozen meat and blubber I believe.
Also works great if you get a special bowl cutting board for mincing herbs. It's also used as a weapon. It was essentially their edc knife.
No one is gonna comment about when he sniffed the table on the wake up sticks? No? Okay😂
Ruck & River sounds like what Scooby-Doo would say after his boat capsized.
I'm glad to see the BattleBoxes back lol!
Seriously. I've been anticipating a new upload for what feels like forever now 😂
The repeats seem to be items that can be used up and it may just be a way of keeping subscribers stocked up. I agree too many repeats could be an issue for some.
The wine industry does a pretty good job of storing stuff in bottles using corks
Snark aside that pouch looked more like some larp apothecary thing than useful pouch
I think it's better to do multiple at once so any same products don't have to be reshown with each box.
Little shovel can be used to dig out for a camp fire pit or a spot to take a crap.
love how he doesnt even recognise the kong case, he did a battlebox before that had the kong case XD he stuck a war hammer through the top of it.
You've never seen a button lock knife before?
Ya gotta check out cross bar locks, compression locks, button liner locks etc !
Regarding the WE knife at 36:59. That ain't fake wood.
The SOG shovel is a "entrenching shovel"..... they have been used by soldiers in armies for ever. They even go back as far as Caesar. It's mainly used to dig a trench or some sort of hole to hide in from enemy fire. Great video BTW!!!
Could also be used to dig a cat hole for when you need to poop. That's what I immediately thought it would be used for.
Maybe turning over ashes or smothering a fire
As an ex grunt , they can be cleaned , used to cook over a fire , and used to beat the shit out of your enemy
Anhydrous ammonia is definitely the worst to smell which is why he’s immune to the noise slap 😂
13:50 that is a ulu and ya you got it pretty right
"Tiny Pump X" would definitely be a great name for a rapper. Great vid as usual Tyler, thanks a lot)
Nothing in those boxes are for battle more like camping and recreational use haha
"Who's growing cucumbers?" Answer. Lonely women
The Man's Prayer "If at first you don't succeed, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS"
I'm 100% sure Tyler did a video (or they were in a video) of the spice wallet before. He also did a video on the Kong Kase, and put the pick of a warhammer through it. Maybe huffing all those ammonia fumes has screwed with his memory.
Opening the box is half the battle.
I only use like 20% of the stuff out of these things. For the tier I want with the monthly knife I just can see paying that much when I don't use most of it
The curved knife is use for cutting animal with thick skin/fat ie- whale, seal, ect… I seen Alaskan natives using it.
13:50 use it as a Pizza cutter!
If you flip the handle down on that shovel, it becomes a decent shitter seat, too. Just sayin.
Also, WE knives are phenomenal
As someone who is largely into the knife and edc world, the civivi, WE, and doug Marcaida knives are the only ones that are worth anything at all. Also, WE, Civivi, and Sencut are all the exact same brand, just different levels of materials. Same manufacturer, same action, etc. just different price brackets and material lists
Who knew directions could be so useful, lol
No kidding!! How he managed to screw all 4 legs into each other creating one mega long leg due that table really just blew my mind 😂😅. Bro didn't notice that it came with 4 legs one for each of the holes that were at each corner of the table.
Tyler, the little pouch with glass tubes is meant for spices like salt and pepper, bbq rub etc....they are a good pack item, but I agree, need a real lid. Mine is about the size of my hand and has real screw on lids, it's Army green, has a WWII look.
It's literally NOT for that at all. It's a gold mining collection pouch. 🤦♂️
@@LiveTUNA That specific one might be marketed for that, but that is not the ONLY use...not to mention the fact mine is the exact same thing just bigger with screw on caps and IS marketed for spices. Don't tell me what something is and isn't for....next time I'll produce a link and make you look foolish.
@@LiveTUNA Well, you're 100% wrong. It's called a spice wallet, for obvious reasons.
I do like how you do the video of battleboxes keep it up please and thank you
Five minutes to get smelling salts to work. If I need to wake someone with smelling salt I don't have five minutes to waste or they might die.
39:00 lol Tyler you didnt even turn the card over. cards have 2 sides for a reason. keep the fun coming bud.
@@Ducklordess Everyone keeps saying that but some of the things he does to seem dumb are really insignificant and pointless so I'm beginning to wonder.
Ive been waiting for the battle box videos. I assumed you stopped doing the subscription or something. Glad to see its returned!
It's like watching my technology impaired Grandma program a VCR I swear.
Who's never heard of solo stove??
Also, you are really doing all of us a great service. We all now know to ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM BUYING BATTLE BOXES. Just buy the stuff you need and skip the cucumber seeds
It is interesting to see how sharp the knifes are when opening these boxes
This multi-unboxing makes me happy that I chose not to go down the monthly box subscription road.
Thank you (and other YT knife nerds) for your sacrifice.
the bottle would most likely be used for spices for food, corks can be replaced but screw on lids can't that is why they use corks,
That Kong case looks like it would be a good case for multiple pews. Looks like it even had the pressure release and spots for the locks so it's probably even TSA approved
I would totally use that curved knife for pizza
I love how everything in those boxes is moderately useful but with like stocking stuffer aisle quality and fudd energy 😂
From what I’ve seen of battle box you buy it for the knife every month or so and hope you get something else cool
When the big companies go wireless charging the smaller companies will capitalize on the people who can't yet afford the next one and spend money changing to USB C ports lol idk tho
13:57 cutting onions is a brezze with those
You should do another survival/camp video using things only out of the battle boxes.
It's been since before you were born, Tyler, that I did any kind of adventuring, but having a backpacking hub, I did more than I wanted to. So I can appreciate battlboxes for what they do. But yeah, it stinks when there are so many repeats. I think I'd have to mention it, formally, and/or unsub.
Battlbox included, just how many knives have you got, Tyler? And do you keep them all or do they show up in your brother's Christmas and birthday gifts?
Nice! Need to check them out now!
This is a real treat. Idk what it is about Tyler reviewing random survival gear, but man I love it.
Looking at all of these boxes, and considering all of his previous videos, I can only assume the there are tons of this type of stuff laying all around Tyler's place. Like a crap ton!
TYLER!???,.. Could I Battle Your Mom’s Box!? You don’t have to call me daddy after. Unless you want to?❤
You know he making money he just not letting them change his card every month and not even noticing it 😂
The solar light is sized for use in a tent. So it doesn't need to be very bright to be useful at night.
Love the fact that he described healthy vegetables as gross stuff, that’s so American 😂😂
“Cama Lis” lord boy! You’ve been living under a dang rock!
The shovel is for many things, but foremost, it's for digging poop holes. Animals are attracted to the scent of feces and will come to investigate so it can be very important to bury your waste when in the wilderness.
13:50 that knife is called a ulu. Its a traditional Alaskan knife that was used for processing fish, seal and herbs
That “Little Shovel” to us former military personnel is called an E-tool or entrenching tool and yes it does come in handy/useful
I want to see another survival video using only the Battle Box items
The grayl cups are bad ass and work extremely well
Anyone else half expected him to turn on the flashlight shining in his eyes? Lol
Glass jars for spices ie. Salt pepper etc.
The waterproof bags are great for scuba diving! You can use them as a small recovery float bag to help float smaller items to the surface or to even carry stuff to the surface in. I use mine all the time scuba diving.
The little shovel is for camping. Fire pit digging and restroom.
The moon shaped knife is good for chopping tasks in the kitchen like cutting up celery and herbs and similar ingredients.
The arc shaped knife is a type of Ulu, it's a traditional knife used by the natives up here in AK. They combine it with a bowl and rock it back and forth for herbs, or you can just use it for food prep in general.
I would love to see more about that screw driver, durability comfort....
Battle box survival challenge: fire, water ,shelter , protection, first aid , food. 2 items in each category 12 Items in total. Survival book will be handy
Boom! Battle Box 24hr survival challenge!
What small amounts would you put in these? Salt, Pepper, Oregano, Cinnamon,
Don't feel too bad abt the flashlight being proprietary.I think its actually a common connector because somehow I have one floating around my cord drawer.
(For the flashlight in the box with the weird bottle pouch) Hey big homie, as an Ohm Law maniac, Trickle Charging an 18650 (The Battery inside that flashlight) will Drastically reduce its lifespan, Use a Battery bay to charge that battery, and for best results consider completely swapping to Sony VTC (Any Number but I prefer 6) and Samsung, IMREN are also a great brand batteries. They will last a long time and likely give you stronger projection on that flashlight.
You should go on another 24 hour camping challenge using ONLY things you've gotten from battle boxes
3:07 I like how he just lights a fire on a wooden table
Hemostatic gauze, the Quick clot, is gauze impregnated with a substance that makes your blood coagulate really fast. Usually in under a minute. Developed for and used by combat medics and the like. Really great stuff for stoping bleeding.
Is that all Chinese crap? Where is it all made?
The hemostatic dressing is guaze with quickclot infused into it which stops severe bleeding when you can't use a tourniquet.
I believe the dead fish knife is used just as any other kitchen knife used for chopping food. I’m pretty sure you just kind of rock the blade over it.
I just hope this guy did not pay for that trash
Okay I watched the full video. He definitely needs to do a battlebox survival challenge for a couple days
The knife at 13:30 into the video is called an Ulu. It's an Alaskan native tool used for hundreds of years.
That sharpener with the side slots is for scissors. Works well for kitchen shears.
every military member knows what quick clot is, and most non military members, no its not just a gauze pad, it's a compression bandage with or pure powder that essentially cauterizes wounds like if your shot, a grizzly bear bites you on a part of your body you can't turnakit it will cause blood to clot and stop the bleeding from an AK round or shrapnel. Sometimes the chemical is infused into a pressure dressing, sometimes it comes in just powder, and the people I know who needed quick clot say it burns so bad it hurts worse than the AK round passes through their arm or leg, but they're alive???
How many knives did you get?!?!
The mini inflator is great at stoking fires as well 😉
this is like a flea market junk vendor's leftovers are packaged and sent to you for far far too much money...who buys these?
Thank you for doing this review. You have just confirmed i will never waste my money on this crap!
The words "Fuck it put it in there" come to mind with battlbox
true
Video's like this are the reason I've never gotten any of these subscription boxes. It's mostly useless garbage that the people that get will never use or know how to use. I should start a subscription box called "shit you'll never use" I guarantee people will buy it just to see what's in it.
