    Leaf blower, for blowing in insulation! Never would have thought of that. Totally stealing. ;)

      The guys we got the insulation from suggested that. I can’t take credit for it.

    I wish you would have made a video on the reframing, that's what I really need to see before I can get to this point

      @@ProZacksProjects Have you pieced them together yet. I need the floor. When you removed the floor did you jack up the camper and slide in the plywood or did you just cut out the floor and put the plywood in. Just getting into the video so forgive me if you show that part. Thanks.

      I don’t yet. I got busy and didn’t record part of the build unfortunately.

    If you did just cut it out what kind of saw did you use to get close to the wall? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the video.

      I might. I’m going to be making a compilation but for a while I wasn’t filming because I was trying to get stuff done. Hopefully I can find them.

    Great work - are you still re-building this camper? Any new updates? We're looking to purchase one in a few weeks and follow along. Although, we'll have a professional restoration company do some of the major repairs. Thanks!

      The build is still under way. I have a few more video in the works right now. It’s going slow for me right now but I have the inside insulated and I’m getting all the plywood on the walls. I hope you’re able to find a good one. We didn’t know what to look for when we bought ours and found out that most of the structure was rotted out. So after rebuilding everything I’m finally to the point of building the inside. It’s definitely a learning experience. Thank you for watching. 😁

    What were those cool looking twisted nails that you put the floor down with?

      They were spiral nails. They’re very difficult to find.

    Hi Zack thanks for the video. There was a lot of rotten & missing wood on your frame. Any comments or tips on the reframing of your trailer?

    • @ProZacksProjects
      @ProZacksProjects  2 роки тому +1

      I have a few videos that I’m going to upload that shows what I did. I replaced all of the wood with pressure treated lumber. There is almost none of the original wood left in there unfortunately for me.

      @@ProZacksProjects Thanks for reply, was thinking the thin aluminum shell would colapse if you removed the entire frame all at once?

    • @markhanner8851
      @markhanner8851 2 роки тому +2

      I used house wrap on outside of frame and replaced siding with new panels, metal brackets and zinc screws on the framework, foam board insulation and sound board damping in walls, house wrap then new panels on walls .

    • @ProZacksProjects
      @ProZacksProjects  2 роки тому

      @@shawndoe2834 it absolutely would. There are a lot of seams that just slide together and they would pop apart easily without any framing to hold them up. Typically you remove one wall at a time, rebuild it, and screw it back on. And what mark Hunter said as well. I hope this was helpful.

    Okay. New question. Did you just cut out the floor? When you were putting the new plywood down it looked like you were sliding it under the frame but hard to tell with it moving fast. Thanks for the video. I will watch it again and see what more I can glean.

    • @ProZacksProjects
      @ProZacksProjects  Місяць тому +1

      So I ripped out everything and put new boards down. On these Shasta’s, the walls attach to the outside of the flooring.

    What is the mesh you use to hold the wool?

      We bought this from Wool life and they sell the mesh with it.
