I plan on buying an electric from you guys in the near future and I’m starting to think that I’m partial to the active ones. That Bridge Lyra just sounds so much more characterful. I know it could be the hollow body but it seems the case with all the active violins I’ve heard. I also like the idea of not having to use an external preamp. If I play live, it’s only 1 song for an event so battery life isn’t really an issue. Is there any reason I would want a passive more than an active?
Hi. I am looking to buy my first violin (YEV) and I just realised it does not come with a bow. Could you point me to a brand/ type that pairs well with it please? P.s: Thanks for your detailed videos. They help a lot
It very much depends on how good a player you are. If you're a beginner, you probably want a fairly forgiving bow. If you're a more advanced player, you'll probably want something more responsive (read: expensive). If we're talking about fairly inexpensive bows (under $1500-2000), carbon fiber is going to compete EXTREMELY well against similarly priced wood bows.
Wow man all of these electric violins that you’re playing just sound simply amazing❤️😍🥰🎶🎻
