I was pretty sold on the Tudor royal, what makes you think this is the better choice ? Just wondering I’m very interested in both of these watches as potential next purchase. Thanks
@@larryfishkind5387 funny thing is....I changed my mind when I saw both in the metal and I actually bought the tudor royal! 41mm blue dial with diamonds and I love it.
If this watch was released at an earlier time, it could have become as iconic as the AP Royal Oak. It has a very confident design, which I cannot explain in words. FC hit it out of the park with this release, imo.
After two years of ownership, still love this watch, actually two Highlife’s one is a LE Tiffany dial for UAE and the other is the standard Blue dial…. this is a great work watch which is slightly sporty but just great looking
Wish it were a 37 or 38. Awesome watch, I think FC is doing some great stuff. That new regulator/ escapement they have that beats at 40hz is awesome, I would like to see that in a smaller case but if possible please review the watch that uses that, I'd love to see it.
Have it. Got relatively small wrists but no problem. Very Nice feel and look. Gonna west it a lot and when I feel summer and sport mode I will Connect the blue straps
Recently bought my first Swiss timepiece. Was really contemplating getting this, but ended up going with an Oris Aquis in the end. Definitely still on my wishlist though!
I first fell in ❤ with the Frederique Constant company since they were owned by the Dutch 🇳🇱 Husband & Wife & then it was sold to a Citizen watch⌚ Co.I don't normally purchased a watches on its features alone be how great it looks on my wrist & the price is right 😃
@@fabiendu83640 I have the prx green quartz (on a Delugs rubber strap), the prx automatic bucherer, and the FC highlife chronograph limited edition. Definitely love all of them, though the FC chronograph is stunning.
Beautiful watch! I can see what’s behind that “globe” design of the dial. It somehow resembles the look of an AP or Tissot PRX Auto but without directly copying it!
Hello Teddy and thanks for a great review. How does this watch sit on your wrist personally? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this one but thinking about how it wears on my 6.5 inch wrist.
I just love the brand Frederique Constant, it is a swiss brand which is well known for their luxury watches (atleast here in Switzerland) and yet they have such good pricing on many models. However I wouldn't buy this watch, as there is the cheaper Tissot Powermatic 80, which looks awfully similar but isn't COSC-rated
Really nice looking piece Teddy. I think you summed it up well - the brand is looking in the right direction with a sportier watch for where the market is heading. Cheers 👍
Teddy, would love to get your thoughts on the recent FC/Felipao Highlife collab. Picked one up recently on a trip to Spain as my first “big boy” watch purchase and it’s easily the fave of my collection now. Ref. No.: FC-303F4NH6B
I think it is a beautiful watch. It could do without the globe in the center. At first glance it looks like something a company gave you for an award. Also the certified chronometer graphics could be smaller. In reality most people could get along fine with 50 meters of water resistance. The dial writing for the chronometer and globe thing makes me think they are trying too hard. And not be a copy of any others. It looks like and sounds like it would be as good as anything out there at that price range. With Citizen's deep pockets they should be past the trying too hard phase and truly still to something super classic without a copy cat. People will see that with Rolex, Omega, IWC and even more expensive watches over the top in price they will earn a reputation a smart buy and not just a "I got one of these" brand. And a year from now still have a great watch and no regrets of spending much more for something that is more or less tantamount.
Has anyone placed order through his website? Can you give me a review? I want to get a Maurice Lacroix Aikon through the website. (The boutique is not available where I am right now).
i love this kind of homage, but not copy 1 to1. instead got a identity of their own. Highlife, Aikon and PRX. already have two. then gonna save some money to get the highlife
Integrated bracelets came out late 60s beginning of the 70s. There is a very good reason why they were left away by mid 80s. No late 2020s hype trying to refresh old ideas will change the practicality of normal lugs/bracelets, nor will it push me to be totally dependent on the watch manufacturor goodwill to kidnap me financially if any issue or desire to change the style of my watch occurs.
Really not a fan of the stamped global pattern on this watch. It's just so out of place and imo ugly. It would make sense on a world timer or GMT, but idk why it has to be on a 3 hand sports piece.
Technically better and more stylish than a Tudor royal imo.

Got this watch for my dad for his birthday! He loved it. It came with blue straps and it looks incredible in person.
I prefer this over the PRX. I’d pay more for the refinement of FC. You also get a strap.
Just saw the Chronograph version of this, fell in love with it instantly. Saving starts from now.
I got to try on this watch.....very nice indeed. It has a vague feel of the Omega Constellation, particularly with that rubber strap.

how many centimetres does your wrist measure? i am a bit concerned whether it might feel too big since mine is around 16 cm
Recently bought my first Swiss timepiece. Was really contemplating getting this, but ended up going with an Oris Aquis in the end. Definitely still on my wishlist though!
Recently FC started to manufacture these with 100 m instead of 50 m WR!
And the price is higher of course..
Has a bit of a Tissot Powermatic look to it in my opinion (other than the globe etching of the dial of course).
You mean "Genta inspired"? ;)
The Tissot Powermatic is not a watch, it's a movement. You probably mean the Tissot PRX.
the next time you meet Kevin O'Leary, can you please ask him his thoughts about this watch and the brand?
Can foresee this being featured in a "Vacheron Constantine Overseas alternatives" video in the future
Really dig this watch! Hope they make a version with their new 40hz movement in it, that would be absolutely killer! Maybe size it down sliiightly ;)
Agree, they need to put the monolithic in sportier watches.
They announced at Watches & Wonders 2023 that a Highlife Monolithic is coming soon.
Noticed this watch months ago, and waited for this review!
That watch looks fantastic.
I own this watch in the white dial. Love this watch. I actually wear it more then my Rolex op.

these days Fc is doing quite very good in their designs
Big fan of the company and the watch
Nice looking watch and options for bands. Thanks for sharing!
Another excellent review. You are costing me money, Teddy😎
Great review on a great watch and completely under-rated brand.
The white dial version is fuego
I want to add, that now, very recently have they updated this watch to 10BAR instead of 5BAR.
Big fan of Frederique Constant watches although if I wanted an affordable automatic in this style I'd go for the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80
This choice is more original

Hey Teddy, I'm curious to know if have tried this piece on yourself. If you have did the lug to lug work on your wrist?

I havet it it's a very nice watch
2023 models come with 100m water resistance. I see this as a bang for the buck in that 2000dollars category.
This wears similar to the prx so if you have a 7in wrist and above it should wear good
lovely watch, but not for 3x the cost of the tissot prx auto
Teddy how this one compares to the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80? Nice video and keep the good work my friend!
Great looking piece (as a pilot, I love the globe design on the dial). This or a(nother) Tag Carrera Caliber 5…?
Finally!
I have been looking at it for some time but no quality review was out!
