Do you spray with the clear after printing and before painting on the white and then sealing it all again, or do you paint the white on the back and then seal it with the clear? In other words, is there a clear coating between the printout and the white paint, or just one to seal it all like normal use? (for ink jet printer)
Okay.... I'm confused on how you get the paint on the back of the waterslide if it's stuck to the backing till put in water. Sorry I'm a newbie and still learning
I paint the white on the water slide while it’s still on the paper. Let it dry. Then put it in water to let it lift from the paper then apply it to the cup. Hope that makes sense!!
I'm confused, you said paint the backs. The back is already covered in white paper. Do you mean the front where the design is? Also, I have a laser printer. Someone said to spray the front of the water slide with white spray paint. I did this and the paper bubbled - three different times.
Yes I technically painted the front, this particular image would be the same either way so that’s why I called it the back because I’d be flipping. I’ve never tried spray painting it.
Thank you so much!! I need to make a purple tumbler, and the image she wants it’s a png, I am lost on how to get it done, as vinyl would be too much because of how many details. I will try out your method. I will be doing blessed gigi, so I guess I will have to mirror?!? Thanks again!
What a great hack!! Thank you so much!!
AWESOME TIP! thnaks!
It took me a minute to understand but I got it! Thank you!!!!
Can you show from printing to placing it on tumbler. Did you mirror your image.
I didn’t mirror since it would be the same either way being a flower.

I have a laser printer so I don’t have to seal. My understanding is that on ink jet you will need to seal before you apply them to the cup
After you print do you seal then pain or paint then seal
After I print I just apply (I have a laser printer) then after it’s on the cup I seal then epoxy.
Great tip!
New subbie here ❤
was the white spay paint or acrylic from the bottle?
Sorry Susan I didn’t see this until now, the white was acrylic from bottle
Do you mirror the image when printing?
You mirror if its letters only because you will apply the image and paint on the tumbler instead of sliding onto tumbler..if that makes sense

Which laser printer do you use?
Color laser jet pro m254dw
if it’s an inkjet image & needs to be sealed first, do you still paint the acrylic over the sealer?
Yes you still seal..if not the ink will wash away when wet
I didn’t because it was just a flower. I’d suggest mirror if it was something that needed to be a particular direction

This tutorial explained nothing. 🙄
I’m sorry I missed the comments on this video. Was trying to show you how to make an clear water slide image pop by painting the back white.
