If you diy this it is so much safer AND easier to separate the two pieces of the arm leaving half with the RV and half with the roller head. It saves fingers, teeth and toes. It's also very easy to turn doing it this way. Zip dee uses a spring like a garage door and they don't play well with others. Great job on the color choice. It completely transformed the outside.
To help you the fabric, take a PVC pipe and cut a slot in it and sand down the cut edges. Not slid on the fabric and roll it up. Then pull PVC pipe off, and sew the fabric. One person roll.
Excellent Video, Just a suggestion, at the end where you filed off the burr from where the Rivet was, you may suggest to spray a little galvanizing paint to prevent future rust, as it appears the roller is galvanized.
I'd suggest when you're unwinding the awning spring wear a full face shield and gloves great video my buddy needs some awning work and I have a Sailrite machine - ha ha
