Thanks for sharing your trips! I'm a Las Cruces Native were about the same age and have loved exploring the desert mountains and the history. Have had the pleasure of packing on mules. Great, great video! I’ve always wanted to see a cat in a cave in “real life”. I’ve seen them twice on my uncle’s ranch near Corona but both sightings happened very quickly. Again, awesome video! Edit: There’s a video on UA-cam called Mountain Lion on a Cliff filmed by a Drone that’s very neat.
Poor lions. If it isn't hounds, now it's aircraft. I'm not a tree hugger. I've had a half dozen encounters with rattlers and I say, God bless em. They rattle and I jump back. There's something about a snake that gets your attention. just being articlulate: taking care of a snake and killing it is an oxymoron. 13:15 Hills and FLAT. With clean air, that's what I want. I hated Kingsville when I was stationed there, but TX and NM are calling me. I see some comments about your health. Your only sixty, you'll be OK. Eat less pork. Or something. By the way, your filming is pretty good. Of course these days it's hard to screw up but I've seen it done. When you do a shot of the rocks I'm looking for something. So, the last 60 sec's were so good. I am afraid of hights for me and others. I don't take my brother to cliffs anymore. I can't agree that there was a cat in there, but they sure were excited. Excellent. My non requested review of this vid. Yeeha.

I guess, back in the real, old, old days, Jaguars did range up some into the desert South West. Suppose that cat wanted to visit the land of his ancestors.
I believe, and please don’t hold me to this, New Mexico Game and Fish and/or Arizona Game and Fish, have located jaguars in their respective states in the last few years. I bet Brett knows for sure.

A couple good hunts! I would like to pick your brain a little, I have never packed an animal before, would a horse or mule that moves off your legs work as a pack animal?
No you just don't understand .. its all about the hounds .. shooting a lion at 20 yards is kind of anti climatic really .. It doesn't bother me that some people like it I have nothing against shooting lions I just don't have too myself or at least I don't see the point in sharing it on video if I do .. but thanks for watching!
@@BrettVaughnB100 You're right. I don't understand. I was hoping you could explain it though, or maybe educate me to the finer points of hounds. Because it just looks like wildlife harassment to me. I'm no bleeding heart liberal. I spend a lot of time in the Rockies hunting deer, elk, bears and lions...oh my. This seems pointless to me though. Of course, I have been wrong before.
@@nohillforahighstepper lol tell me about your lion hunting ... you need to do a little research ... I don't need to explain myself to you .. if your not a houndsman and don't appreciate the finer points of what it takes to catch a lion your still a rookie ...
@@BrettVaughnB100 No, no. I'm not judging you at all. I am just trying to understand why someone would spend all that time and money to just let it go. Seems anti-climatic. But you're correct that you don't have to explain yourself to me. I wasn't meaning to offend, which I obviously have. And yes, as far as lion hunting goes, I am a rookie. I have only killed 1 with a bow. I was hunting elk and a lion happened by. I buy a lion tag just in case 1 wanders by. Never been behind the hounds.
@@nohillforahighstepper Thats ok .. I just like the sport of trying to locate lions and have the hounds trail them "Dead Lions Leave No Tracks" but I understand that the way you look at it is that why go to all that trouble if your not going to shoot it ... that I believe is the difference between a regular hunter and a true houndsman .. no hard feelings I hope .. Thank you for participating in the thread and explaining yourself .. I really do understand where you are coming from

Yes .. I was wanting to get some good film of him Thanks
What an amazing hunt
Thanks Mark !
I thought getting in a thicket with a boar hog was sketchy
In all honesty that is probably more dangerous .. I think those boar hogs are more aggressive .. Thanks
I love to hounds bay❤
I do too .. love to listen to them cold trail as much as anything ... Thanks
That one made me nervous 😐
Did me too Sis ..
like seeing the live lion
Me too .. Thanks
Brett any signs of deer out there ?
Oh yeah there are deer .. Thanks
I'm too a old fart in the wind.
well ok .. thanks
I guess I don't see the point in chasing a cat and then letting it go...
I'd be having lion chops for dinner.

You're right.
@@BrettVaughnB100
No, no.
I really do understand where you are coming from
My birthday
Happy birthday
