Awesome work! First time I've heard of aquaphonics. You're a great asset to the Filipino farming community. Bohol is one of my favorite islands. Keep on vlogging. New subscriber here from Cebu.
It's a blessing to come across this channel it must be from the Lord Jesus. First praise the Lord for you and family to move to the Philippines with good intentions and second for putting your faith to good work of helping the Filipino people and for improving the conditions there. The verse: the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. We truly need more people like you unfortunately I'm a senior person and I'm not getting younger to do just like you did. I pray that the good Lord be with you and family always and to God be the glory amen!
I am happy for your first harvest! What a joy to see that someone has embarked on a big aquaponic project. I pray for your continuous success and sustainability.
You deserve more subscribers and views, keep it up! This is the kind of content Filipinos should support!! Rooting for this channel to grow.. God bless! Btw, you have a lovely family… what a supportive wife! ✨👍🏻

Impressive gyud! Once you’re settled in will you be willing to share this with the public like field trips for students or people to visit and see your area and your produce?
We plan to make this a learning center as well as an operational farm working with restaurants and resorts to supply the best produce. Thanks for asking. Our goal is teach farmers and backyard farmers to spread the knowledge. We also will help raise funds to get them started in certain situations. Every view helps us towards that goal so thank you for joining the pursuit🙏🤙💚 people, planet, prosperity
Well done! We are so proud of you and your family being used by God to bless the Filipinos through this God-ordained project. May the Lord continue to give you the best of health, favor, victory, success and prosperity in all that you do. 3 John 1:2
Congrats on your successful farming. I'm curious about the aquaponics system. Do you use a pump to pump the water to the different areas of the farm? I don't see any electrical wires there. Also if a pump is used, isn't that added cost (electricity cost)? You may have to sell your produce a lot higher than the other locally produced vegetables.
Thank you. We do use pumps that run 2-3 time a day depending on conditions. It does add to the cost but in the 2nd phase of our project, we will be adding solar😎 With saving on fertilizers and pesticide, it balances out financially. We could also ask for a high price due to sustainability and organic. No chemicals for those concerned with health and appreciate sustainability🙏🤙
@@pursuitofcoconuts Ah yes. I forgot that organic food are sold at a premium. You are also correct that not using fertilizers and pesticides can reduce the cost. Though I'm curious why a pesticide is not needed in aquaponics system?
That is the million dollar question?! We plan to study vegetable and fruit varieties that are more uncommon for the region and how they thrive in the system. Once we choose crops we’ll figure out the growth rate and output. We’ll keep ya posted! Anything you would like to see grown in hot humid weather and aquaponics?
Very interested in aquaponics, would also like to know how many fish that you need to plants ratio and how you balance the system. Cheers thanks. @@pursuitofcoconuts
Every system is different. Depends on filtration system, aeration, size of tanks, etc. I’ve seen a 2/3 to 1/3 size of water tank to planter ratio as the advice on systems that have a growth medium like ours. Depending on the tank size they will fill with fish about 1 fish for every 3-6 gallons then they will fill up the planter with plants. The system just needs to be able to convert all the ammonia from the fish (nitrogen cycle) and turn it into nitrates so the plants can absorb. Constant testing and refining is needed for each system. It sounds hard at first but once you get the idea of it all it’s quite simple. There are online communities that are super helpful also!
You can definitely grow your own but if you were to buy here in Bohol... it's so expensive compared to other islands because there aren't enough farming anymore.
This is the kind of channel that we should be supporting mga kabayan🙏
Thank you, that's very special of you to say. Let's do this together to help agriculture in the Philippines!🤙💚
