- This video is an update on my blackhead bushmaster. This is the biggest viper on earth. Some people say they can get up to 12 feet long. This viper is only around 7 feet long. The table hes sitting on is 6 foot in length. For more videos on this guy please sub and check out my merch store to help the channel thank you in advance.

Legit thought that was a stuffed snake cause it didn’t move for almost the entire video.
Thank you for all of the amazing information
That is one of the most beautiful snakes I have ever seen...
Thank you pictures don't do justice
@@venomman20 Yea! I bet they don´t… that´s a lovely snake, it´s got a lordly, noble presence. What a priviledge to have them around! Thanx so much for sharing
Thank you for checking out the video :)
@@venomman20 King Cobra, Black Mamba, Bushmaster....
Correct ORDER...for LARGEST venomous snakes?
Great VID
11:39 love how his tail was rattling (which to this day I didn't know bushmasters use rattling for warning signs ) then when you mentioned him if he wanted to go back into his cage, he stopped rattling and in my head when he stopped rattling he said "Say What Now ?" Like he heard you and was trying to question you lol
I swear to god that snake has the lightning bolt on its side from the ACDC logo!
koda white haha I see it !
I Saw It, if It had one more It would look like the "SS" logo haha. The nazi viper
juniorfan7a yeah same, to me it looked like an SS Rune.
That’s one scary freaky looking snake🐍 wow 👌🏼
That snake would beat me in a staring contest🤣🗣️🤧
I spent most of the video wondering exactly how he would react/mitigate, when he was kneeling 2 feet from the snake, if it just decided to go at him hard. Doesn't seem like there's much he would be able to do in that position.
There's a reason I have never been bit... I understand strike ranges very well. I know enough I would bet my life on it
Bullshit!! He’d of had you if he’d wanted!!! Every time you moved your hands he rattled!!! Your gonna get tagged one day! It’s not if but when!!! Your really knowledgeable and seem a great dude 👍👍 but your playing with fire mate☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
He will never get tagged as you will always respect your snake.
@Randall Swanson well said
He was sitting 2 feet from the ass of the snake, and the head was around 6 feet away with the snake outstretched, the snake is probably 8-9 feet long at most 10... the effective strike range and maximum for ANY snake is half its body length, that snake would need to at minimum be over 12 feet to even have a slight chance of biting him.... also snakes like this cannot maximize bite distance unless they assume the strike pose, which is the s shape they make with their necks before striking. I’m sure he wouldn’t be squatting there if the snake was in that pose since it would also have been closer... non of the numbers or physical behavioral logic about snakes supports the argument he would’ve been bit at all.
That snake didn't move or twitch for 13 minutes straight.
I am scared just watching this video , probably have a heart attack if I were as close as you./.
Beautiful snake, absolutely gorgeous, and yet absolutely extremely dangerous, you do not want to get tagged by one of these!
He did not take his eyes off you for even a second! Very interesting what you said about their heat seeking radar sneaky pits and how they are zeroed in on heat sources. I have had rattlesnakes and copperheads before and did not fully realized or appreciate their use of this organ before until you pointed it out. Sure I knew about it and how it works but as a second set of eyes maybe even better I really never gave it that much thought. This oversight on my part could have had bad consequences for me. If I ever acquire another pit viper I will be sure to remember this lesson. Thank you!
It’s so funny that you talk to them like a puppy 🐶... lol
Since I don't have a puppy this makes up for it LOL
I was thinking the same thing. I've learned so much from Brandon here about reptiles and want to have a western hog nose. They've so so cute
Is a king Cobra a viper and does the green and black mambas have the same venom
Coloration & size is identical to my Boa Constrictor!
Yeah they do look a lot alike
My favorite snake ever! I would’ve went to heaven once he started rattling his tail lol... u do a really professional job love the videos sir
Thank you so much
For some weird reason, a few videos popped up about your keeping venomous reptiles at your home while working at the zoo. I hope u didn't end up in too much trouble. I've so much loved your videos and have learned so much already. I have thought about getting a western hog nose. They r so so adorable. Not sure how my dogs and kitty would react. Lol.
Where r u located?? Do u ever let anyone visit and see your reptiles?? I would drive anywhere from KY where I live to come visit. Thanks for educating me and I look forward to learning more.
Yeah much of the info on the internet about me is wrong I'm working on a video explaining all of that coming out as my last video of the year
Thank you by the way I appreciate it and as of now I don't just because of insurance reasons I would like to change this in the future
@@venomman20 I can delete my comment as I don't th8nk hardly anyone knows and I have no clue why it was put in my recommended videos. I actually put a very supportive comment of u and stated that people like this jerk just spread false gossip cuz they r jealous that they will never be the man u r. Not will they ever be as successful.
And if u had something to hide, I doubt u would have kept your same channel name.
I would love love to come see all of your pets. I would sign a release and just look. Not touch. I've actually never held a snake before. ( I am so grateful for your videos and I'm learning so much from u.) I also appreciate how ur pets r kept. They aren't in filthy drawers where they r forced to lay in their own mess. Not even a hide, bedding or enrichment. Like Emily on snake discovery uses the rack system, but has clean, fresh bedding, hides, branches or leaves that they like, and always a bowl of fresh water. Can't stand how some put their snakes on display in nice enclosures and then the ones in the basement r filthy and they can't hardly move. Its so wrong. They have feelings too and need to be kept in nice enclosures. If someone kept a dog or cat in a filthy drawer in their own filth, it would make headline news. Snakes are live beings that also have feelings and need to feel secure.
I would honestlky drive anywhere to come see your pets though. Would sign a release too.
@@guardiansanimalrescuestate7289 thanks I appreciate that but I don't mind your comments and thanks I don't have the perfect past but everything was blown way out of proportion for sure.
A bushmaster rattles ..never heard of that l don't see a rattle on the tail
That's an incredible snake! I just came across your videos and I really like them. You're great with venomous snakes. A very good friend of mine is into breeding boas and pythons, and he's got a pretty popular channel too. He's also been in the bodybuilding and fitness industry for 30 years, so he has a huge channel for that too. He's an expert at conducting interviews with people in both industries. It would be great if you could do an interview with him on his channel, he would probably love to have you on.
He’s a big fella! Would love to see some shots of his patterns ( can imagine it’s hard getting close 😂😂 ) sick video as always bro. He’s a good looking snake 🐍
Yeah he can be crazy at times lol
Very handsome. He knows it too lol
By far my favorite Viper, saw them up close in SC years ago. Dean Rippa had them. Loved when he fed them.
Would have loved to been there for that
Watching you talk so much, and using your hands while you talk had me wondering 🤷🏻♂️ that’s a huge dude 👍
Damn...just damn...
Lol “don’t be mad, we’re friends” I don’t know if he’d agree with you on that.
You're right
venomman20 he is a pretty snake tho. I love watching all your videos. I just found your channel and quickly became a favorite.
ooooooo boy that locality pure thingy really hit the ear wrong WATCH THAT, you’ll get called a racist while your talking about hot snakes. OMFG Rick and. Marty.... “Can you imagine being a racist snake...”
Wow
I don’t know why I’ve been getting into snake videos lately. But I came across your channel and your videos are dope man.
Thanks so much
What an awesome big snake.
The patterning looked beautiful.
Watching him watching you was interesting.
I'd also love up close pics....well as up close as you can get.
Thanks for another great video
I will see what I can do
What a beautiful Bushmaster, one of my favorite snakes such a huge boy thanks for sharing
Thanks for checking it out
The Bush master is one of my favorite snakes, and I try to learn as much as I can. Witch is why this video was amazing too me. I learned a great deal more about them than I did before... Thanks!!!

He is stunning. Hats of to the keeper what a prized specimen.
That is an amazing snake! So beautiful but so deadly! It's amazing how perfectly still they can sit for long periods. This was a great video!
Thank you so much
Just waiting for that perfect strike.
Yo I really respect your humbleness
Thank you
Another snake person with a channel said that you don't own these Bushmasters and you went to jail for using a zoo license illegally. Not a criticism just wondering if true
I was notified of that video and commented back to him. I have never been to jail before nether have a stole anything in my life. He thinks these bushmasters belong to venom central after doing research on what a venom central is. I found out Willie runs that operation from my understanding he's taking care of Matt Harris's central American bushmasters. To the best of my knowledge he doesn't own any blackheads which is all I take care of as you might have noticed. Not all snakes I film are mine. I have never tried to pull the wool over anyone's eyes on that subject
Hey I am
That so called random you called about , you need to step up your subscriber game trying to call me a random. You got caught up by
UA-cam and got charged for 9 counts of animal abuse. Funny how people try to talk shit keeping snakes illegally and got raided. Quit lying to your viewers kid, buying snakes claiming they were for the zoo but really bribing them home instead .
haha tell that coyote peterson he almost stepped on one at his first walk in the jungle!!!
That was a fer-de-lance he almost stepped on.
If you can...safely obciously..id LOVE to see this guys fangs. I know heading isnt advisable. But ya know, juuuust if you can. Dingo dinkleman showed his and they proved to be even bigger than HIS gaboons and mangshens fangs! (Yes i know the gaboon holds the world record at 5cm/2in)
These videos make me nervous.....
Fred B. Same
The same is true for the size of snapping turtles here in the northeast. "It was the size of a wheel barrow"
Woah... So thats not a shadow. Bruh... Pick or choose. Beard or no beard. The neck doesnt want one if its alone with it. At all. Edit: and you are now talking about the snakes neck... The irony. Lmao. No hate btw. Just some friendly advice. ;)
Now i get it you said largest viper not venomous
Hey Brandon......I saw this video of yours that I have never seen, and was so happy. But I am sad that u haven’t made a video for a month. Please make a new video. Well we love u so much. Please come to Kentucky for a visit. I’m dying to meet you in person.
Hey u never sent me my shirt that I was wanting. I can’t afford it since I’m disabled. I have a feeding tube in my stomach, and a central line for fluids, meds etc.....so needless to say, I can’t work.
Love you're channel! You are great at telling about the animals, that you enjoy learning
My most favorite species of viper, and only the species of Pit viper in the americas to lay eggs, I think there are 4 subspecies of this very beautiful snake, The Black Headed, Central american, South American, and the Atlantic Forest Bushmaster,
That is beeg snek. I think I've only seen a king cobra that big, where most venomous snakes don't get huge.
Dude I love your vids. Please stay safe with these beautiful but dangerous animals! 😎
He should be called Harry after Harry Potter due to the perfect lightning bolt on his lower third side. ⚡️
BUSH MASTER! My favorite viper. Awesome snakes
Enjoy the educational parts of your video’s, but you are wayyyy to close to that snake. Talking to it like a puppy while it is only thinking of killing you …..
I'm glad you put out a very good point of not cross breading poisonous breeds. Thank you I believe that should never happen
It's not the fact that they are venomous I'm only saying so for the conservation side of things
Don't be mad we're friends
Snake: Yeah that's what Eve thought, fool...and yet here we are.
Love the channel BRO
Holy fuck thats a giant death slinger right there. Imagine af an army was able to weaponize those snakes, like the trojan horse but with 5000 of this monsters,or in ww2 from a helicopter droppin theses snakes into trenches and foxholes. Obviously youd still need to fight the war, but those snakes would fuck shit up. Then you gotta let some giant eagles in to clean up the snakes, make friends with the eagles and maybe continue to feed them, or not thats gonna be called on the fly.
The monarch of the Panamanian jungle and greatly feared! The fer-de-lance is no less feared and they show up around residences on back porches. The jungle was in my back yard; a huge forested hill and we were around vipers all the time.
I never thought I ever would see one of those, they are magnificent, thanks for all the great snakes and sharing your knowhow. Youre the best, that be hardd to take away from you. All the best wishes from Holland, greetz Rick.
Rick van der Loos If you think he's good, you need to watch Brian Barczyk USA & definitely Dingo Dinkelman South Africa.
You're a venom supplier? Breed them to sell? I'll just assume you know how much even a single dose of anti-venin costs.
Bushmaster!.... I knew it 😂
Very lazy snake
Ambush predator
I just don't get the attraction to somethg you can't pet and have to be careful around , or you could get bit and die? What's the fun part of owing this thing ? It's not like it likes you. It'll bite u first chance it gets.

Very impressive snake! I have never seen one that large. 👍
This is one of the biggest I have ever worked with
How Big is she ? 3mts?
Legend is the snake locked the guy in the glass box and now runs the place, 5 mice entry fee come one come all.
I did not know they rattle like rattlesnake are bushmasters kin to rattlesnakes u brought up people die from this snake is there not antivenom for this particular snake.
This snake is so still it looks like a plastic display snake..... absolutely Beautiful!
Has to be the biggest bushmaster I’ve ever ever seen
That is one AWESOME Herp!!!!!!!!
Congrats on the new camera picture looks awesome.
Big boy. Don't know what going on, but I hope new content coming.
You probably wont see this but it is absolutely insane how you have to explain to people how you feed your wild animals. Like omg people these animals have to eat and when they eat it has to be WHAT THEY EAT AND HOW THEY EAT IT...but I digress because we live in a "BURN THE WITCH" society nowadays 🙄🙄🙄...btw...they were never found to be witches...but anyways besides that...I hope you all have a very happy and most fulfilling life❤💯‼
Thanks so much lol yeah people kill me lol
Gd hell ya my fav snake that thumb nail.looks crazy big I just love the Bushmaster I don't know why there just awesome
They are pretty amazing that's a 6 foot table lol
U got to keep an eye on them as always...don't take ur eye off them...
I try not too
Everytime I eat at Taco Bell I have to poop
That is a big beautiful Blackhead Bushmaster, thank you for sharing. Love the video.
Thank you for checking it out
One bad ass snake bro.
What's the purpose of U having those poisonous snakes. Give all the reasons. All so prices, mating, scientific, where U get Urs, any trading U do, any n structions U give people that own snakes. Have U ever had a snake U couldn't ID. Its hard 2 believe that snakes don't breed out of their on breeds n the wild. R U just paid 2 show the snakes r U the owner.
Much of that is personal information watch more of my videos and many if these questions will be answered
Glad its not me hooking it to put away 😂
Venom question. I've seen a couple of videos where venomous snakes have mistakenly bitten themselves without any apparent adverse effect. What happens if a venomous snake bites another venomous snake of a different species? Can one venomous snake kill another of a different species? I saw a youtube video of a cobra attacking and killing a very large puff adder. The puff adder and Cobra got into a biting contest with both snakes inflicting multiple bites on each other. The puff adder eventually died, but the cobra didn't seem affect at all by the puff adders bites and the cobra ate the puff adder. I was surprised.
That's a very interesting subject many snakes seem to handle their own venom well and others do not coralsnakes can kill themselves if they bite themselves while rattlesnakes seem to fail OK. I think all snakes that eat other snakes tend to handle the venom well
Amazing viper.
I didn't know some Vipers have a rattle, I had thought only rattlesnakes did prior to this video
A lot of vipers twitch the tip of there tail very fast as a warning. It’s a lot louder in dry leaves/grass. But no rattle.
Many non-venomous snakes also vibrate the tip of the tail when they are agitated, for example, ratsnakes, kingsnakes, racers, indigos, Pituophis (pine/bull/gopher). It is not actually a conscious "warning" by the snake, but a reflexive physiological reaction to feeling threatened. The analogy in humans would be the hair standing up on the back of the neck when shocked or frightened, or increased heart rate or sweating when nervous.
Steven Levy ... thank you for expounding on the topic!
people call me the bush master.
Is there another way to communicate with you?
Instagram or Facebook but Instagram is the fastest
It did not move until you did/
I prefer no bush.
Such a fearsome snake. Surely the King of vipers. The most beautiful viper too.
For sure they are incredible
Awesome
2:21 smart he moved back
It's crazy as soon as you put a hand on the snake it stops rattling. It obviously cant see you with its eyes. As soon as you touch it it knows oh ok I'm good. It's the guy that feeds me.
Yeah hopefully that's what he's thinking lol

Impressive creature! Seemed like he or she was listening to you!
He was trying to figure out how to bite me lol
Last week My friend killed centro american rattle snake, crotalus simus culminatus, that was a shame a beautty snake ! She looks like this one bushmaster! Cascabel was 2.20 mts long!
If that snake was not full and wanted to bite you from that distance, could he have easily bitten you.
I was farther from the table then it looks but their strike range in impressive
He is very, very beautiful. Seems relaxed. But is very much "On Point". If a threat arrises, he will swing into action.
I once worked for some weeks as a volunteer in the Carara Nationalpark in Costa Rica. The park rangers there wore always "snake boots" (leather boots that reached until far over the knees) when they moved through the forest on the hunt for poachers. They warned us against terciopelos (Bothrops asper) in the bathroom facilities and a bushmaster that supposedly always hid between the giant roots of an enormous tree . I don´t know if it was true but when I now think that I went out with another volunteer at night to explore the forest with a flashlight it gives me the creeps. Imagine the bushmaster had been attracted to my flashlight.... But God protects the dumb - so nothing happenend! :-)
Chandlers wild life says his is bigger so who’s lying?
Muta the species he had gets longer blackheads are thicker and much more toxic
Wow, three meters long ?
Great video - thanks. He is Such a beauty. I love hearing you talk to them; your love for them comes through loud & clear. :-)
Beautiful snake !
Thank you
Are they related in any way to the rattlesnake? I had no idea that anyone but the rattlesnake had rattles.
They are both pitvipers but that's about as close as it gets
snakes scare the hell out of me
