Why is it legal to have a highly venomous snake in a private household? They belong in the wild or a reptile facility were they can be properly contained. What happens when it getsd loose in the neighborhood and kills someone? These things don't belong in the hand of private citizens.

This was more informative in 15 minutes than a lot of 1 hour documentaries that I've seen. I'd love to see more footage of this snake in the future as he grows, and grows-on his new owner. The fact that this snake can get to 14 ft. long and is as dangerous as it is, just made me re-think ever going to Africa, like the Fer De Lance will keep me away from exploring the Aztec ruins of South America. The most hostile snake I ever encountered in person was a Gaboon Viper. He was a very nasty little guy when anyone was in the room,, puffing and hissing like a little maniac. If you have one I'd really like to see anything you would film describing and interacting with it. Way back then there was no internet and information was sketchy at-best (at expos), except for what I could find at the local library. There were a lot of 'Exotic' pet stores popping up around Florida back then, and the owners would get ahold of anything you could think of, but rarely knew a whole lot about them. There were some real horror stories being told about mishaps with animals at that time. My time with venomous snakes was short-lived, once my son was born and his mother had nightmares about the snakes. I just stumbled across your channel, so I'll be 'subbing' and checking it out. Thanks, and Good luck.
Very educational! I didn't know black mambas were actually scared of everything. I use to encounter a lot of dogs as a meter reader. The most aggressive ones were the most scared ones. Makes sense
Damn, you already wanted out of that marriage on the _honeymoon_?? Must've started out pretty bad, and usually people just go for divorce but I have to admit death by gator certainly is the more exciting way to end a marriage.
Good to to see you back, I have seen any of your videos on youtube for maybe around year. I like your videos and learning about various species of snakes. Take care. 🐍
The warning advices against trying any of these activities at home! Well, even if I wanted to duplicate this, I don't happen to have a black mamba. However if I did have a black mamba I would teach it to swim in a 5 gallon can of gasoline.
We used to see these and their green brethren everywhere when we lived in S.A. The worst were Boomslang (tree snake) in Swaziland. You're braver than I am. I was like a cross between Usain Bolt and Mo' Farah when I say a snake. I did visit my brother once, who lives in Australia, and I was afraid that a Taipan would come and pay us a visit.
For everyone reading the comments just fast forwards to 8:20 that’s when the video starts until then he spends 8 minutes walking around getting his knife.
Ash Ley why don’t you just enjoy the video and quit bad mouthing him. He put a lot of his time and effort making the video, if you don’t like it go view something else. Learn some manners already!!!!
Alan Robison How is he ever going to get better and become successful, if he doesn’t take constructive criticism or receive it? This could be his full time profession and considering I have 5 million more views than him and was where he was at one point that I figured some helpful advice might suit him well. No one wants to watch 10 minutes of someone walking around. We’re just here for the action, the information and to see the snake. Thats why shorter videos around 10 minutes- make the most money because that’s statistically what works and what people want. Comments are made for viewer/subscribers to tell the creator what they can do better and what they want to see. That’s how the platform works. I get much more “rude” comments on my videos, that aren’t nearly helpful, from people who aren’t even youtubers. Whether he wants to improve his content or not is on him. But I appreciate your time and opinion but this is how the platform works.
Another awesome video! You really have a way of explaining/teaching with such a calmness that keeps me wanting to hear more. Can’t wait to see this black mamba grow up through your channel. Keep making these great videos and we will keep watching!
There are many situations I’d like to think I could man-up for in life but if I were there and tried that, at 8:30- first sight of the tail- I’d have dropped the bag, fly-kicked through the door and run off down the street screaming!! I like how you said you weren’t taking any chances and wanted to be extra safe- whilst wearing shorts, haha! Great video!
I Subscribe to your channel. Also they had a Reptile and a snake show in Indiana and I didn’t go but they told everyone they would not uncover the Black Mamba there poison is so deadly you can die within 20 minutes, so they refused to uncover the Black Mamba’s tank. Your show on TikTok is wonderful, thank you!
Black Mambas are very misunderstood. All they really want is love just like any other creature. I'd just walk up and pat his little head and tell him what a good boy he is.
An absolutely beautiful amazing snake so happy we get to experience this little guy growing up on your channel. Loved the video and how you keep it real. Have a great day
These snakes shouldn't be allowed in the US at all, one way or another they end up getting loose. All you need do is look at Florida's foreign snake problems to know why this should all be illegal.
How do you think venom research and zoo breeding occurs...? Without these snakes and other animals being entered into these kinda guys' care and programs. You can tell by his setups, organization, and layouts that he DEFINITELY knows what he's doing. I'd be more worried about the random Joe whom is just getting one to be "cool" or just "to have one".
@@strikeforcek9149, Research facilities and zoos are acceptable, but not private collectors. Who knows what kinds of crazy people are wanting to collect deadly snakes and reptiles. Private collections are also the main cause of the huge problem with invasive species in The United States.
A ‘collector’, just like a research group/‘professional’, has their facility inspected before a license is issued. One of the requirements, beyond knowledge, is an enclosure that provides (at least) two secure barriers between snake and public. This means that, even if this snake were to escape its enclosure, it should have no way of leaving the room. Same goes for people trying to get IN to the room (which sadly does happen).
Coletta Hughes The main reason for invasive species is not ‘crazy’ collectors. And are you not aware that a license is required for importing exotic reptiles? Someone from the fish and game administration has come to this guy’s facility, and deemed it to be safe. As for breeders, they tend to be fairly scrupulous people. It’s not a huge group.. We don’t want the snake going someplace and being mistreated. Where are you getting your facts?
I once caught a wild diamond back rattlesnake with my bare hands to impress a girl in high school on a field trip. I flipped over the rock, stepped on its head gently with my steel toe boot and grabbed him by the head.
ClicketySplit Jeans will do absolutely nothing for you mate...absolutely nothing...in fact, jeans can be the difference between getting tagged once, and being tagged multiple times if they’re fangs get hung up in your jeans.
That little guy never keeps still!! I've seen many mambas moving, and they *are* fast, but i still put my money on malpolon monspessulanus. We get them in forests here in Portugal, and they speed like freaks! And it's not like they are small either (i've seen a near 10 footer once)! They evolved like that cause they actually chase lizards and other snakes to eat them, so they survive by outrunning the competing fauna.
Your question is not stupid at all - I also really would like to know if there is antidote available in his house, although I am somehow afraid of the answer to this question .....

Thanks I really appreciate it
Very educational! I didn't know black mambas were actually scared of everything. I use to encounter a lot of dogs as a meter reader. The most aggressive ones were the most scared ones. Makes sense
This guy is nuts, and this is coming from a guy that attacked an alligator with a beach chair on his honeymoon.
robert Keeble huh???
Damn, you already wanted out of that marriage on the _honeymoon_?? Must've started out pretty bad, and usually people just go for divorce but I have to admit death by gator certainly is the more exciting way to end a marriage.
Well they are scary from somebody that had only seen a few together once before.
@Chad Klaren my hat is off to you sir. Those things terrify me.
D BX ....I’m with you bro.
Wonderful video. He is beautiful!
Thank you
I'll be honest... when he bit the mic I dropped my phone 🤣🤣🤣
What a cute little killer lol
“Somebody riding a motorcycle like a madman” while unboxing this snake
Hell no. My heart is pounding watching you unbox this guy
Thanks lol
We used to see these and their green brethren everywhere when we lived in S.A. The worst were Boomslang (tree snake) in Swaziland. You're braver than I am. I was like a cross between Usain Bolt and Mo' Farah when I say a snake. I did visit my brother once, who lives in Australia, and I was afraid that a Taipan would come and pay us a visit.
Fuuny I'm on the edge of my seat in my living room haha. GREAT VIDEOS love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the goal :) thanks for watching
For everyone reading the comments just fast forwards to 8:20 that’s when the video starts until then he spends 8 minutes walking around getting his knife.
Very true

He came out of that bag ready to Rock.
could have dumped it right in the tub, was all for show!
yadda yadda all BS
Awesome beautiful Snake I love how much respect you have for them !
Yeah the joy he has over his new snake is contagious 🐍
I got scared when he attacked the mic, i couldn't imagine being near one without some sort of glass between me and him lol
I knew you had gotten a mamba!! I love your videos and getting to see some gorgeous snakes. I really like the bushmaster.
I learn so much from you. Not a snake fan. But I recognize your work. Stay safe! Happy new year!!
The only snake whose wild movements prevent me from keeping one they are just too wily
Captain Charisma .....I bet you’ve suffered a long time just to be able to wily in a sentence. Nice
@@robertlangley258 what?
Beautiful snake and a very cool handling 👍👍
The pix at the very end was great 😊
He looks like a friendly little fellow
Another awesome video! You really have a way of explaining/teaching with such a calmness that keeps me wanting to hear more. Can’t wait to see this black mamba grow up through your channel. Keep making these great videos and we will keep watching!
Why would you even want one of these?? Leave them alone in the wild.
This is my life's work. My only goal in life is to teach others about snakes
Teach others with snakes that can't kill you!! That's like pointing a loaded gun at yourself and saying I'm teaching people about guns.
Angela Johnson that’s a bit of a stretch to compare
This is what makes him happy, it is not anyone’s else’s business
There are many situations I’d like to think I could man-up for in life but if I were there and tried that, at 8:30- first sight of the tail- I’d have dropped the bag, fly-kicked through the door and run off down the street screaming!! I like how you said you weren’t taking any chances and wanted to be extra safe- whilst wearing shorts, haha! Great video!
Thanks lol
He looked like he was about to release the white walker from the box.
Heard of another "enthusiast" as well getting a momba, he's dead, hopefully you have anti-venom, seriously don't ever relax near that.
Not planning on it
Awesome video.
Very professional with how you handle him.
You got a mamba as the other mamba passed on.
Great video. Beautiful snake.
Thank you
Guess what's not on my bucket list .here's a hint..... Seeing a black mamba within 50 yds
Jimmy Supafly .... well Jimmy, here’s mine , not being on the same continent with a Black Mamba.
@@nebraskatpp Newfoundland doesn't even have any snakes. I say we move there .
Jimmy Supafly .... The very second I hear one of those things is loose around here.... I’ll call you from there.
Well at least you know what you're getting into, but why, baby talk to it all you want, the snake has no conscious if you're dead or alive.
But but tornadoes go around people that have "these" deadly snakes! Mother nature knows not to let them free. Its It's all good.
Sounds like something I would do

This guy is so at home with these creatures. Kudos man. I am afraid of gardener snakes let alone this rascal reptile
Thank you I appreciate it
individual results may vary...
Pretty cool facts,good video
It seems like a good idea to handle the most venomous shake in the world wearing shorts..
Pretty safe
For real 😳 hahaha the snake was distracted by the camera and decided to attack it...now imagine if the snake went for this guy’s leg 😬
ClicketySplit Jeans will do absolutely nothing for you mate...absolutely nothing...in fact, jeans can be the difference between getting tagged once, and being tagged multiple times if they’re fangs get hung up in your jeans.
@@Cody2nd Aren't there some sort of lower leg "chaps" that people wear?
That little guy never keeps still!! I've seen many mambas moving, and they *are* fast, but i still put my money on malpolon monspessulanus. We get them in forests here in Portugal, and they speed like freaks! And it's not like they are small either (i've seen a near 10 footer once)! They evolved like that cause they actually chase lizards and other snakes to eat them, so they survive by outrunning the competing fauna.
I would have to agree I don't think mambas are the fastest but many people think they are so I'll go with it till they start changing the books
Rest in peace Kobe Bryant aka black mamba
Interesting information. Thanks!
100% I'm outrunning that snake.
Superb video thanks for sharing, you have a lot of guts mate handling one of these snakes which are so unpredictable in a deadly way.
Thank you I appreciate it
Do u keep anti venom on site just in case???? I’m sorry if this is a stupid question. I’m just learning about snakes.
Your question is not stupid at all - I also really would like to know if there is antidote available in his house, although I am somehow afraid of the answer to this question .....
Surprised mamba could even breathe boxed that way and obviously it did - certainly a gorgeous snake - thanks for sharing !!
How did it survive wrapped up like that with no air
Jana Sali it has air
