Next he may go into how Mages (and assassins) burst through tanks and bruisers not just Marksmen and their poke on average across mages have a 2.8 second down time. most are 3 seconds some hit 4 seconds and some are below 3 seconds.
Yes getting one shot by absolutely any and everything allways if you position any less than perfect is truly a braindead feat whereas most top laners just jump in brainless and kill everyone. MajorTugh jedi I don't know if it's just me but garen seems impossible to beat in lane. His kit is so simple so there's no gimmick to play around. And if you beat him you're rewarded with taking true damage.
Andrew Whyte Depends on who you use. Alot of melee fighters struggle with garen due to his sustain from his passive, the isolation on his e, the q silence and of course his ult. That being said a good tactic to beating garen is baiting out his Q Decisive strike. Most of garens burst is in his Q. If you can force garen to waste it you can win trades better. (Many garens if fought in the minion wave will miss or waste thier q in my experience). If Garen lands the Q silence, you are probably going to lose everytrade with him. If he misses the Q however, he will lose every trade. Champions such as fiora, darius, teemo, yorick, cammile and renekton are pretty good at shutting him down. However alot of fighters/tanks such as yas, jax (pre late game), ornn, riven, etc get crushed by garen

Junglers think they should be able to win every gank they show up for, without considering their teammates' health, cd's, or wave management, and blame mid if the enemy jungler touches their side of the map. Mid laners think they should be able to either roam or sit in lane for ever whenever they want regardless of missing enemies, without needing to help their team in any way other than taking kills in bot lane, and they blame their jungler or toplaner whenever they die. Bot laners think they should be able to melt anyone lategame without worrying about positioning, and think their support should be able to bail them out 100% of the time whenever overcommit or overextend. Toplaners like Hashinshin think they should be free to duel 1v1 for the entire laning phase without any other enemies showing up, yet expect midlaner and jg to bail them out of every mistake on a moment's notice. Then they think they should be able to 1v9 at will just because they're a bit tanky, and because being a bruiser should automatically win them every fight.

Wukong is the number 1 top laner in winrate and jungler and I think he's 2nd place in winrate behind aurelion sol. That being said, his play rate is really low for each roles so I'm guessing he's mostly played by one tricks.

I dont even get why Riot nerfed ADCs, I think the Click-to-Save supports were a MUCH bigger issue. Those supports, like Janna, lulu, nami, you name it, they just broke all the action in botlane, allowed ADCs to make huge mistakes and have almost always guaranteed comebacks and are WAY too effective for the actual skill they require. I think just addressing how point-and-click heals and shields work wouldve been better and actually made botlane healthy again, where people actually fight prior to 20 minutes not only because they are getting a gank. And then add to that, these ''squishy'' supports countered assassins so hard, despite being squishies... And then we get Ardent Censer which amplified all these problems massively.

Grove for context adcs are upset about bruisers in bot. Personally I think most people would consider vlad and swain as bruisers and yasuo had the highest wr as an adc. Beyond mf and draven they all had negative winrates. Another issue with bruiser items is that either tanks or assassins can also abuse them same with keystones. So while conquerer is decent on jax on tryndamere and yasuo with an ie it's fucking ridiculous.

I've played league for plenty of years. Bruisers are OP right now more than ever. ADC's aren't as good as they were the last few years. Supports are so split in who is good and who is bad that you NEED to play certain supps if you wanna do well at all. Mid is pretty balanced, but leaning towards AD casters/assassins. Jungle is a mixed bag, but I think is fine as long as you play correctly and are careful.

Saani Maula name a single top lane bruiser outside camille with a viable rune that isn't conqueror and has a good winrate. The entire problem with the rune system pre conq was that top lane had no rune for them. Hashinshin is arguing for not further nerfing bruisers who are not the overpowered class right now.

I completely agree about the fact that playing ADC requires no game knowledge nor strategy its pure mechanics including positioning I also used to play ADC and I wasnt even thinking while doing so its just mechanics and positioning 0 decision making.
He's right about ADC's tbh, whatever meta it is, whether they're weak or strong, they will ALWAYS have something to complain about. Even in the Ardent meta they were complaining that the supports were stronger than they were. I don't get what goes through their brains, every other role has to go through major meta shifts and playstyle changes even from patch to patch, and they rarely complain about it. ADC's have the first major change to their role in the last few years and they all collectively freak out and whine about how unplayable the role is. The best part is if you look at the winrates, traditional ADC's have better winrates against the 'OP' mage/bruiser botlaners that they love complaining about, at least that was the case last time I checked. IIRC someone made a post on Reddit about it with all the winrates.

He isn't qualified, even after years of gameplay and practice Hashinshin sits In stagnation. So to clearify 1) In double lifts video he never once uses the term "bruiser" he states that reckless bench himself over the meta because a toplaner, who specializes in the champions that currently dominate bot lane, can be more efficient than he himself could. 2) Hashinshin has absolutely no idea of how to play. His entired playstyle comes from COD MW2 Team deathmatch. All he cares about is running face first at the enemy and attacking. He doesn't pay attention to any other details. 2a) He will die to a jungle gank early game when deathtimers are short. Watch the enemy jungler just walk into river. Teleports directly to minions in middle of lane, instantly doe to another gank because jungler was still there. 2b) doesn't understand favorable and unfavorable matchups. Some champions are better against other champions; however, there are ways to play around this like: Wave management, Roaming, tethering, etc. And these things all help your jungler assist you. 3) brusiers aren't underpowered. They are in a normal spot. The class doesn't have access to a lot of the damage other classes do and I understand that, but it's not because brusiers are in a unhealthy place, it's because every other class has a unhealthy amount of damage. Instead of continuously buffing one class because another is too strong work on nerfing the other class or classes. The first option is how we ended up with this one shot meta. THERE IS SO MUCH DAMAGE ON THE GAME RIGHT NOW, and that's honestly a bad thing. But Hashinshin just spluts off that his class needs to one shot people too. Like what ? Advocate that everything around you has too much and needs to be taken away.

I can't tell you from my experience because I don't play adc , but from what I saw in my games Draven builds crit also Tristana , Jinx and Jhin are also playable and on pbe Vayne is getting a buff as well. Riot is buffing adcs and at the same time they are nerfing bruisers instead of mages that are better on bot that's what he's saying
quinn is not a strong botlaner, nobody above d5 plays her bot, also adc's are being outperformed by champions like yasuo, irelia, swain etc. not other adc. Like i said earlier only viable adc's are draven and mf. If you dont agree with me just look at any recent lcs or lck games and see if actual adc's are getting picked (spoiler they're not). It's to the point where Rekkles benched himself becoase he cant play in the current meta.

Adc were meta for such a long time so give us bruisers players at least some space. there is at least some variety on botlane, not only scaling piece of bullshit that wins game bcs ardent bullshit and tons of shields. ADC have had to deal with other champions that can instant kill them since S2, basically having to always play on the brink of death their whole careers. Squirting damage and constantly alert to their position, running passed the line at great risk to put one or two more auto attacks only to get 1 shot by a bruiser. Dying again and again to shit that just instantly blows them up. Meanwhile in pro games, nobody gets fed so the shit that instantly blows them up doesn't instantly blow them up. Couple that with supports that actually peel: "ADC are lame." Which is the furthest thing from the truth in solo queue. I'll say it, ADCs are some of the hardest working dudes in solo queue. Only junglers in solo queue work as hard because of the chaotic nature of solo queue. Top laners just want to duel. Mid laners duel and occasionally roam. but none of them every have to worry about instantly dying in a fight.

With the bot lane meta I doubt that’s how it works right now, considering every single god dam good support has a 2 years long cc, and the 2 most viable is zed and talon, who can one shot adc but also squishy, so if they get cc, they are fked. In high elo, considered support have a brain and do what they suppose to, and midlane have the macro so opposite side’s assassin don’t snow ball early game and roam however he wants, and support also do the vision so you will know if a gangbang is about to happen. I think the actual problem traditional adcs are having is champions like swain and Vladimir, who one shot you and are either impossible to burst it down or just straight up impossible to kill, bruiser is not their problems since they can be kite into oblivion, same as juggernaut. With proper BP I think adcs are fine, the only thing concerns you should be your own support and mid instead of your opponent, which means in higher rank your experience will be better, in silver or gold although, it will be another story because I doubt people really know what are they doing and what do they suppose to do, and they don’t really care for BP

Jax is weak? He can take more than half of Riven’s health in one trade. Riven is like the weakest bruiser right now though so meh. Well that may not be fair to say but I do know that Riven 2.0 beats the original right now and it’s not fun. But playing Riven is addictive so I torture myself.

i'm listing some of the thing hashinshin did in this video that silver scrubs didn't notice and just go around complaining about bruisers being OP 1:36 hashinshin tower dived a wukong that took a really bad keystone(predator) instead of electrocute and is probably a bad wukong that max Q first instead of E with really shitty build path rushing Black cleaver instead of duskblade his core item. he also timed his ult in time to block alot of damage from wukong's Q resulting in an easy dive 2:29 he first stack his passive which give a good amount of atack speed and third aa proc from ult then jump the draven who is 3 levels below him that haven't build blood thirster(draven's power big power spike which he haven't reached yet) that obviously overextended to bait hashinshin because a diamond adc won't just stand next to a stacked passive jax like that(much like you silvers that walk near yi after he stacked guinsoo then complain about how he 1v5 huh?) but lose because fiddle ult alone did 500 ap damage to him not let alone the fear and E silence and the draven who aa him for only 3 times with ULT that grant 60 armors on dealt 600 ad damage to him(hmm with only 3 auto atack, adcs weak btw)

Please stop. Meta is atleast more versatile besides broken Vlad and few champions. Carries are made to be squishy, Assassins are made to oneshot.
lmao i played mostly adcs for about 4 seasons now and i can tell you for a fact that almost every single adc with 3 brain cells complained about janna or lulu because it doesnt feel nice when your support has most of the power in and when the enemy support can just negate ALL your damage with one or two point and click abilities lol. and about vayne and xayah, first of all vayne literally sucks massive dick right now theres no other way around it. if someone picks vayne they are basically inting unless they have more than 800 games on her. at one point she was pretty busted i'll give you that but this was patched some time ago. and xayah is only strong when she has rakan with her enabling her, on her own xayah is a mid tier adc. honestly every time adcs were strong its because the supports were enabling them and you can just think back to every time that has happened. last time it was ardent censer and the time before it it was because shield were literally busted. and the funny thing is adc itemization always sucked except like the core 3 items while in other roles every item gives so many fucking stats, i mean lets just look at one of the most nerfed adc items which is rage blade, it gives 25 ad 25 ap and 25% attack speed and then the passive. stat wise it sucks but the passive synergizes with a lot of the adc kits because they have these 3 hit passives so it gets nerfed all the time. now lets look at rod of age, rod of ages gives 100 ap 500 hp and 400 mana and then it gives a pretty decent passive, last time rod of ages was nerfed is on june 15th 2016. lets not pretend that adc players get everything they want all the time when in reality only two or three adc champions are viable at a time and the rest are pretty much dead and if you pick them you basically lost the game.
valid points, tbh although i play for fun and couldnt remember anything too specific, but i can say for certain that most of the time when adcs are op, its really supports that are. how fun it is to play against janna/lulu when they can walk up to you throwing some w(janna)/e(lulu) to fuck your entire lane over but when you fourth shots either of them, they have barrier and from your name, i think youre a weeb(or sort of), and so am i. and for that, i give you this 働いたら負け(if you work you lose), just enjoy the game like playing kayle bottom or stop climbing for the patch :)
Nico niii ADC's not having high gold efficiency items is part of their niche. ADCs for the most part are supposed to scale into the late game and are supposed to require support from utility and a frontline. High gold effiency items like Black Cleaver and Luden's Echo are supposed to be for characters that scale into the mid-game like Darius and Syndra etc. And it's not even like high gold efficient item paths aren't options for ADCs either. Items like Black cleaver is built on a couple of viable ADCs (well, just Lucian and MF), Wit's End is also very powerful on ADCs that use hybrid damage. Also Hexdrinker is a powerful tech against high AP comps even on ADCs. If anything ADCs, which was a role SPECIFICALLY INTENDED FOR SCALING now actually have the most gold efficient one item spike in Stormrazor. The fact that ADCs are always on the cusp of viability is problematic as it is. There is no other role out there that is limited to one playstyle at a time. Top laners have to be able to play tanks and bruisers, Junglers have to be able to play assassins and tanks, Mid laners have to be able to play assassins and mages and supports need to be able to play Playmakers, mages and tanks. Also, there's never been a time where only two or three adcs are viable at a time. Even in this "non-ADC" meta, Ezreal, Lucian, Xayah (even without Rakan), Kai'sa, Ashe (Yes, I know what I said), Varus, Draven and Jinx are all viable picks. ADCs are a fundamentally broken role which promotes no diversity in the game.
yeah lets just list all adcs as if they have the exact same play style because ezreal plays exactly the same way as kogmaw and draven, and kaisa plays just like kalista and ashe. yes. yeah all these are under the same role but they play nothing alike, so stop trying to oversimplify the role. the reason why the adc role was ALWAYS viable was not because their kits are broken its because they were the best at pushing turrets, which doesnt matter now because everyone can do that, and because they do the most damage late game which also doesnt matter because games are not even long enough for them to reach their spikes, some adcs like lucian and kaisa and mf reach their spikes earlier than other adcs which is why they are viable now but besides that crit adcs are pretty much not fun to play into all the shit that gets picked in bot lane. and about how theres always more than 2 or 3 viable adcs to play, just go and look at every professional/high elo adc player stats last season you would basically see the same pool of 3 champions that are always in their top 4 and if this doesnt convince you, then why do you think people like imaqtpie have smurfs where they can play champions they find fun and then go on their mains where they only play varus or twitch, its because if you pick a low tier adc into a high tier adc you basically just lost the game, theres no other way around it.

Because ADCs always had the same (or similar) role - Squishy characters dealing long-range damage as priority targets in a team fight, every role would have to play in a way to account for that. For example, your team would need to play around this carry and the enemy will be looking to prioritize you (as the ADC), fights would happen front-to-back (tanks at the front, squishies at the back, chip the front to access the back or look to dive/flank the backline) This meta is a testament to the fact that ADCs (or at least what we conventionally call ADCs) don't have to exist. They SHOULD NOT have to exist in every iteration of the meta game. No other role has been viable in every meta should why would marksmen have to be? If other roles can do what the conventional ADC can do, then great. If ADCs come back that's fine too. Marksmen should not be a necessity. Rather, they should account for one single play-style that can look to phase in and out of the meta like every other archetype. And about how theres always more than 2 or 3 viable (conventional) adcs to play, I've checked the professional player stats and there are at least 5 viable ADCs in every competitive region, (Lucian, Kai'sa, Ashe, Ezreal and Varus) and a couple niche counterpicks like Jhin (to good success in the NA LCS in particular) and Kog'maw. (to good success in the LPL in particular) So basically: -The role isn't necessary (or shouldn't HAVE to be necessary) -The role isn't even dead (so quit whining)

Jax is a duelist. He wins duels, him winning duels is just meta. Adcs being squishy is meta because they are meant to be that. Assassins are meant to one-shot you because they're "assassins". With Jax you have to cancel every single Auto to move faster - installing about Autoing, waiting until it hit and then instantly clicking forward and then atacking again as soon as it’s up again - and that shit is just as hard as kiting with adc. You have to manage your e, you have to decide whether to go for a pretty safe stun or to block more autos You have to use your q wisely, if you just blindly jump in you’re gonna get kited You have to know when to use your ult, in a long fight it won’t last the whole fight so you’ll have to decide when to use it You have to autocabcel your w You have to manage your passive stacks You have to know your dmg, once you’re in you’re in, you can’t go back on decisions Jax kit maybe doesn’t have skillshots but that doesn’t mean you can just blindl spam stuff, you’re gonna lose out on a lot of dmg that way. Spamming may work fine if you’re ahead but you’re not gonna get ahead every game - even more so since jax just gets absolutely destroyed in some matchups early

If we take a look at bruisers in the botlane u.gg/?region=world&queueType=ranked_solo_5x5&patch=8_13&rank=platinum_plus&role=adc We see that burst champions dominate the ranks while DPS champions are left behind, with the exception of now Irelia with her recent shift towards dps and kalista, because her burst only comes after her DPS, which means she gets bursted down before she can burst them. The role of an ADC has shifted - no longer is it about constant damage, but it's more about burst before you get bursted.

honestly i think hashinshin is right about ADC. As a support main, there are certain moments when you land a good stun/root/silence etc. on the enemy the ADC dies and flames the support. I am also affected by this since ADC is my 2nd role. This is why in ranked matches i hate ADC that; flames you when you accidentally ks your kills, flames you for not warding even thou they have wards, forgot to use their spells, and doesn't follow up jungler's gank and flames the jungler for a failed gank. With all respect to higher elos they are certainly the best ADC to support with since they follow up and know what they're doing.

The way I see it, the issues with the current meta come down to the fact that standard auto attack based DPS just plain sucks right now - ADCs and fighters (with a few exceptions) generally lose out to (read: get one-shotted by) mages and assassins, and bruisers are tanky enough to shrug off most auto attacks in team fights until the mage's cooldowns come up again. Generally, the only way an ADC is good right now is if they get so far ahead that their auto attacks basically hit as hard as mage spells, but without the cooldown penalty (the funnel strat), or if they're just plain good thanks to the items they buy (Draven, Lucian).
jax can 1v5 anytime but though he is still not op.The only thing that makes me cry when i play against him is his counter strike.if you play something heavy basic attack bassed like trynda or master yi or even Darius you ll surely be fucked up by that one ability (unless you have you flash ready)

MajorTugh jedi I don't know if it's just me but garen seems impossible to beat in lane. His kit is so simple so there's no gimmick to play around. And if you beat him you're rewarded with taking true damage.
Andrew Whyte Depends on who you use. Alot of melee fighters struggle with garen due to his sustain from his passive, the isolation on his e, the q silence and of course his ult. That being said a good tactic to beating garen is baiting out his Q Decisive strike. Most of garens burst is in his Q. If you can force garen to waste it you can win trades better. (Many garens if fought in the minion wave will miss or waste thier q in my experience). If Garen lands the Q silence, you are probably going to lose everytrade with him. If he misses the Q however, he will lose every trade. Champions such as fiora, darius, teemo, yorick, cammile and renekton are pretty good at shutting him down. However alot of fighters/tanks such as yas, jax (pre late game), ornn, riven, etc get crushed by garen

Antonio Rodriguez-Manzaneque Literally every role but Support thinks that way. Junglers think they should be able to win every gank they show up for, without considering their teammates' health, cd's, or wave management, and blame mid if the enemy jungler touches their side of the map.
Mid laners think they should be able to either roam or sit in lane for ever whenever they want regardless of missing enemies, without needing to help their team in any way other than taking kills in bot lane, and they blame their jungler or toplaner whenever they die.
Bot laners think they should be able to melt anyone lategame without worrying about positioning, and think their support should be able to bail them out 100% of the time whenever overcommit or overextend.
Toplaners like Hashinshin think they should be free to duel 1v1 for the entire laning phase without any other enemies showing up, yet expect midlaner and jg to bail them out of every mistake on a moment's notice. Then they think they should be able to 1v9 at will just because they're a bit tanky, and because being a bruiser should automatically win them every fight.
Adc is the hardest role by far.

I dont even get why Riot nerfed ADCs, I think the Click-to-Save supports were a MUCH bigger issue. Those supports, like Janna, lulu, nami, you name it, they just broke all the action in botlane, allowed ADCs to make huge mistakes and have almost always guaranteed comebacks and are WAY too effective for the actual skill they require. I think just addressing how point-and-click heals and shields work wouldve been better and actually made botlane healthy again, where people actually fight prior to 20 minutes not only because they are getting a gank.
And then add to that, these ''squishy'' supports countered assassins so hard, despite being squishies... And then we get Ardent Censer which amplified all these problems massively.

I've played league for plenty of years. Bruisers are OP right now more than ever. ADC's aren't as good as they were the last few years. Supports are so split in who is good and who is bad that you NEED to play certain supps if you wanna do well at all. Mid is pretty balanced, but leaning towards AD casters/assassins. Jungle is a mixed bag, but I think is fine as long as you play correctly and are careful.

The best part is if you look at the winrates, traditional ADC's have better winrates against the 'OP' mage/bruiser botlaners that they love complaining about, at least that was the case last time I checked. 1) In double lifts video he never once uses the term "bruiser" he states that reckless bench himself over the meta because a toplaner, who specializes in the champions that currently dominate bot lane, can be more efficient than he himself could.
2) Hashinshin has absolutely no idea of how to play. His entired playstyle comes from COD MW2 Team deathmatch. All he cares about is running face first at the enemy and attacking. He doesn't pay attention to any other details.
2a) He will die to a jungle gank early game when deathtimers are short. Watch the enemy jungler just walk into river. Teleports directly to minions in middle of lane, instantly doe to another gank because jungler was still there.
2b) doesn't understand favorable and unfavorable matchups. Some champions are better against other champions; however, there are ways to play around this like: Wave management, Roaming, tethering, etc. And these things all help your jungler assist you.
3) brusiers aren't underpowered. They are in a normal spot. The class doesn't have access to a lot of the damage other classes do and I understand that, but it's not because brusiers are in a unhealthy place, it's because every other class has a unhealthy amount of damage. Instead of continuously buffing one class because another is too strong work on nerfing the other class or classes. The first option is how we ended up with this one shot meta. THERE IS SO MUCH DAMAGE ON THE GAME RIGHT NOW, and that's honestly a bad thing. But Hashinshin just spluts off that his class needs to one shot people too. Like what ? Advocate that everything around you has too much and needs to be taken away.
If he had zero knowledge on the game and had trouble grasping basic concepts then that really says something about the game you're trying to defend since he peaked at challenger.

I can't tell you from my experience because I don't play adc , but from what I saw in my games Draven builds crit also Tristana , Jinx and Jhin are also playable and on pbe Vayne is getting a buff as well. Riot is buffing adcs and at the same time they are nerfing bruisers instead of mages that are better on bot that's what he's saying
quinn is not a strong botlaner, nobody above d5 plays her bot, also adc's are being outperformed by champions like yasuo, irelia, swain etc. not other adc. ADC have had to deal with other champions that can instant kill them since S2, basically having to always play on the brink of death their whole careers. Squirting damage and constantly alert to their position, running passed the line at great risk to put one or two more auto attacks only to get 1 shot by a bruiser. Dying again and again to shit that just instantly blows them up.
Meanwhile in pro games, nobody gets fed so the shit that instantly blows them up doesn't instantly blow them up. Couple that with supports that actually peel: "ADC are lame."

Only junglers in solo queue work as hard because of the chaotic nature of solo queue. Top laners just want to duel. With the bot lane meta I doubt that’s how it works right now, considering every single god dam good support has a 2 years long cc, and the 2 most viable is zed and talon, who can one shot adc but also squishy, so if they get cc, they are fked. In high elo, considered support have a brain and do what they suppose to, and midlane have the macro so opposite side’s assassin don’t snow ball early game and roam however he wants, and support also do the vision so you will know if a gangbang is about to happen.
I think the actual problem traditional adcs are having is champions like swain and Vladimir, who one shot you and are either impossible to burst it down or just straight up impossible to kill, bruiser is not their problems since they can be kite into oblivion, same as juggernaut.
With proper BP I think adcs are fine, the only thing concerns you should be your own support and mid instead of your opponent, which means in higher rank your experience will be better, in silver or gold although, it will be another story because I doubt people really know what are they doing and what do they suppose to do, and they don’t really care for BP

Jax is weak? He can take more than half of Riven’s health in one trade. Riven is like the weakest bruiser right now though so meh. Well that may not be fair to say but I do know that Riven 2.0 beats the original right now and it’s not fun. But playing Riven is addictive so I torture myself.

lmao i played mostly adcs for about 4 seasons now and i can tell you for a fact that almost every single adc with 3 brain cells complained about janna or lulu because it doesnt feel nice when your support has most of the power in and when the enemy support can just negate ALL your damage with one or two point and click abilities lol.
and about vayne and xayah, first of all vayne literally sucks massive dick right now theres no other way around it. if someone picks vayne they are basically inting unless they have more than 800 games on her. at one point she was pretty busted i'll give you that but this was patched some time ago. and xayah is only strong when she has rakan with her enabling her, on her own xayah is a mid tier adc.
honestly every time adcs were strong its because the supports were enabling them and you can just think back to every time that has happened. last time it was ardent censer and the time before it it was because shield were literally busted. and the funny thing is adc itemization always sucked except like the core 3 items while in other roles every item gives so many fucking stats, i mean lets just look at one of the most nerfed adc items which is rage blade, it gives 25 ad 25 ap and 25% attack speed and then the passive. stat wise it sucks but the passive synergizes with a lot of the adc kits because they have these 3 hit passives so it gets nerfed all the time. now lets look at rod of age, rod of ages gives 100 ap 500 hp and 400 mana and then it gives a pretty decent passive, last time rod of ages was nerfed is on june 15th 2016.
lets not pretend that adc players get everything they want all the time when in reality only two or three adc champions are viable at a time and the rest are pretty much dead and if you pick them you basically lost the game.

ADC's not having high gold efficiency items is part of their niche. ADCs for the most part are supposed to scale into the late game and are supposed to require support from utility and a frontline. High gold effiency items like Black Cleaver and Luden's Echo are supposed to be for characters that scale into the mid-game like Darius and Syndra etc. And it's not even like high gold efficient item paths aren't options for ADCs either.
Items like Black cleaver is built on a couple of viable ADCs (well, just Lucian and MF), Wit's End is also very powerful on ADCs that use hybrid damage. Also Hexdrinker is a powerful tech against high AP comps even on ADCs. If anything ADCs, which was a role SPECIFICALLY INTENDED FOR SCALING now actually have the most gold efficient one item spike in Stormrazor.
The fact that ADCs are always on the cusp of viability is problematic as it is. There is no other role out there that is limited to one playstyle at a time. Top laners have to be able to play tanks and bruisers, Junglers have to be able to play assassins and tanks, Mid laners have to be able to play assassins and mages and supports need to be able to play Playmakers, mages and tanks.
Also, there's never been a time where only two or three adcs are viable at a time. Even in this "non-ADC" meta, Ezreal, Lucian, Xayah (even without Rakan), Kai'sa, Ashe (Yes, I know what I said), Varus, Draven and Jinx are all viable picks.
ADCs are a fundamentally broken role which promotes no diversity in the game.
yeah lets just list all adcs as if they have the exact same play style because ezreal plays exactly the same way as kogmaw and draven, and kaisa plays just like kalista and ashe. yes. yeah all these are under the same role but they play nothing alike, so stop trying to oversimplify the role.
the reason why the adc role was ALWAYS viable was not because their kits are broken its because they were the best at pushing turrets, which doesnt matter now because everyone can do that, and because they do the most damage late game which also doesnt matter because games are not even long enough for them to reach their spikes, some adcs like lucian and kaisa and mf reach their spikes earlier than other adcs which is why they are viable now but besides that crit adcs are pretty much not fun to play into all the shit that gets picked in bot lane.
and about how theres always more than 2 or 3 viable adcs to play, just go and look at every professional/high elo adc player stats last season you would basically see the same pool of 3 champions that are always in their top 4 and if this doesnt convince you, then why do you think people like imaqtpie have smurfs where they can play champions they find fun and then go on their mains where they only play varus or twitch, its because if you pick a low tier adc into a high tier adc you basically just lost the game, theres no other way around it.
When I say broken, I don't mean OP. When I say that ADCs were "fundamentally broken", I mean that they are flawed from a design standpoint. They were a class that was unhealthy in providing diversity to the game. Because ADCs always had the same (or similar) role - Squishy characters dealing long-range damage as priority targets in a team fight, every role would have to play in a way to account for that. For example, your team would need to play around this carry and the enemy will be looking to prioritize you (as the ADC), fights would happen front-to-back (tanks at the front, squishies at the back, chip the front to access the back or look to dive/flank the backline)
This meta is a testament to the fact that ADCs (or at least what we conventionally call ADCs) don't have to exist. They SHOULD NOT have to exist in every iteration of the meta game. No other role has been viable in every meta should why would marksmen have to be? If other roles can do what the conventional ADC can do, then great. If ADCs come back that's fine too. Marksmen should not be a necessity. Rather, they should account for one single play-style that can look to phase in and out of the meta like every other archetype.
And about how theres always more than 2 or 3 viable (conventional) adcs to play, I've checked the professional player stats and there are at least 5 viable ADCs in every competitive region, (Lucian, Kai'sa, Ashe, Ezreal and Varus) and a couple niche counterpicks like Jhin (to good success in the NA LCS in particular) and Kog'maw. (to good success in the LPL in particular)
So basically:
-The role isn't necessary (or shouldn't HAVE to be necessary)
-The role isn't even dead (so quit whining)

Jax is a duelist. He wins duels, him winning duels is just meta. Adcs being squishy is meta because they are meant to be that. Assassins are meant to one-shot you because they're "assassins". Sebastian Nilsson wukong is the most braindead champ to touch the meta right now. Seeing him kill anyone isn't suprising. A champion dying doesn't mean they automatically take skill. Jax is almost if not just as mechanically intensive as master yi.
Towermice what are you on about? With Jax you have to cancel every single Auto to move faster - installing about Autoing, waiting until it hit and then instantly clicking forward and then atacking again as soon as it’s up again - and that shit is just as hard as kiting with adc.
You have to manage your e, you have to decide whether to go for a pretty safe stun or to block more autos
You have to use your q wisely, if you just blindly jump in you’re gonna get kited
You have to know when to use your ult, in a long fight it won’t last the whole fight so you’ll have to decide when to use it
You have to autocabcel your w
You have to manage your passive stacks
You have to know your dmg, once you’re in you’re in, you can’t go back on decisions
Jax kit maybe doesn’t have skillshots but that doesn’t mean you can just blindl spam stuff, you’re gonna lose out on a lot of dmg that way. Spamming may work fine if you’re ahead but you’re not gonna get ahead every game - even more so since jax just gets absolutely destroyed in some matchups early
Let's be honest here only champs who even require skills in this game are ryze and azir everyone else can just auto attack and be lucky with everything they do also these are the guys who have lowest win rates in lower elos and are dominant in high elo proving their the perfect example of high skill cap high reward champs adcs can always get away with auto attacking sometimes same for bruisers like jax same for assasins like yi same for mages like syndra who has a one click one shot. He should have looked at bruisers in the botlane, not in the toplane. Botlane has completely different interactions than toplane, especially because there are two people there. If we take a look at bruisers in the botlane u.gg/?region=world&queueType=ranked_solo_5x5&patch=8_13&rank=platinum_plus&role=adc We see that burst champions dominate the ranks while DPS champions are left behind, with the exception of now Irelia with her recent shift towards dps and kalista, because her burst only comes after her DPS, which means she gets bursted down before she can burst them.
The role of an ADC has shifted - no longer is it about constant damage, but it's more about burst before you get bursted.

honestly i think hashinshin is right about ADC. As a support main, there are certain moments when you land a good stun/root/silence etc. on the enemy the ADC dies and flames the support. I am also affected by this since ADC is my 2nd role. This is why in ranked matches i hate ADC that; flames you when you accidentally ks your kills, flames you for not warding even thou they have wards, forgot to use their spells, and doesn't follow up jungler's gank and flames the jungler for a failed gank. With all respect to higher elos they are certainly the best ADC to support with since they follow up and know what they're doing.

Q range is not that long, it can be interrupted. You can see his counter strike for few seconds before activating so you can easily predict when he goes in. I haven't lost jax for years. Cc him when he uses E and he can't jump in to fight without being cc'd and killed.

Eclipse Oh, so is the first time for adcs to feel bad in the meta? anyways, dunno dude, but Jhin, Varus, Quinn and Draven are pretty good right now, and they are buffing tons of adcs next patch, still, the burst meta persists, and in the tank meta you adcs had a chance but they nerfed your items, still they nerfed also anti ad items, now no one can play tanks, because why we dont pick burst ads or mages, or Yasuo, because yasuo can tank, 1v3 in late game and also build off tank and be a pain in the ass and burst, but noooo lets buff assassins, and lets be clear, qtie is playing free elo champs instead of adcs as always, the rest of main adcs are going "Fuck this, i still play my adcs" and they are winning

The way I see it, the issues with the current meta come down to the fact that standard auto attack based DPS just plain sucks right now - ADCs and fighters (with a few exceptions) generally lose out to (read: get one-shotted by) mages and assassins, and bruisers are tanky enough to shrug off most auto attacks in team fights until the mage's cooldowns come up again. Generally, the only way an ADC is good right now is if they get so far ahead that their auto attacks basically hit as hard as mage spells, but without the cooldown penalty (the funnel strat), or if they're just plain good thanks to the items they buy (Draven, Lucian).
jax can 1v5 anytime but though he is still not op.The only thing that makes me cry when i play against him is his counter strike.if you play something heavy basic attack bassed like trynda or master yi or even Darius you ll surely be fucked up by that one ability (unless you have you flash ready)
