It's great to hear about all the collaboration happening within the various teams on Cardano.
So wonderful to see such collaboration. Our ecosystem, small enough so far, and not being VC driven, this fosters collaboration.
yeh we need more of this collaboration between teams. Look at the Cardano wallets... how many do we have? We need some teams to combine resources.
It's a good idea, I often work with Go and I can tell you it's objectively easier to work in than Haskell. (Significantly more resources for learning and simpler architecture)
Though I am a little nervous about complexity, the more rewrites of nodes we have, the more dev time goes into fixing issues and supporting the new standards from IOG.
Im happy about this one though.
Thanks for the tips!
Awesome, thank you gentlemen. 🔥
You bet!
OMG waited forever for this!!
I hope you can contribute to the project, and you know what ? The Cardano Foundation's ICB Cosmos implementation uses this.
Thanks Pete. Very interesting although 99% was over the top of my head.
All you need to know if that there is work being done to make different versions of the Cardano nodes in different languages making it overall more robust.
Very interesting development!
Yep I thought so
BBHMM!! 🔒
Oh yeh
"Gamechanger" for what? I m absolutely satisfied with process, devs and stability of cardano. We don't need gamechangers. Just consistency.
Node diversity will help with the developer ecosystem around Cardano, bring in more developers which we are greatly struggling to find, reduce the cost of development and make the node network more robust from attack as one single vulnerability in the existing network won't affect 100% of the nodes in one go.
In other conversations I've had with other devs, we were talking about some of the things that Charles had been commenting about and one was hack resistant drones which was written in Haskell. All the haskell devs are following the jobs and its very hard to find any at the moment to keep on building the next stages of the Cardano nodes with input endorsers.
A GO version of all that would be quicker and cheaper to build as there are more developers in the space to contribute resources and engineering time,
@@LearnCardano thx for the reflection of a dev- inside-view.
Rust would own it
Maybe, but Amaru is already being worked on and the Cardano Foundation is helping with resources to make that one happen under the Pragma open source organisation.
GO is a MUCH better option .. pick up some kubernetes developers.
I love the idea of it. I'm not that good of a developer though to pick it up
Cardano's ecosystem needs badley EVM and USDC
EVM compatible contracts already live for almost a year now....
They're both already in... Milkomeda is an evm on Cardano and flink wallet Let's you run evm contracts straight from your Cardano wallet. Wanchain also has a bridge for usdc
It does have EVM and USDC but they’re being ignored.
@@Grandioos the evm is really risky... It's just message passing with barely any safeguards programmers can leverage...
@@RodolfoHansen IT is much more risky without EVM Nobody will wait for Cardano
