    Even as a captain you’re still making 150k which translates into hourly 84 hrs/week 20/10 is about $51/hr. Which is the same as a tig welder with SWAT

      Oh don't discount the free meals you get in a clothing that you don't have to purchase and the hundred dollars a year for your steel toe shoes you didn't count that stuff neither fella hey plus you get a good steak every Saturday or Sunday you trying to understand what you're saying and reason it out with logic not just because the amount of money there because the amount of money you save is that you're not spending when you're going home to the passing that store that $10 or $20 you spend extra that day you don't do that on the the barges in tugboats you

      Well if you're looking for fun get a girlfriend or a wife because it's a job and safety and all the other things that take place that can happen to you will happen to you and then when you are there alone at night and you look at the bridge and you see a car go across it you can say this hey there's real people in this world they're still moving around because all you'll ever see is the guy that's relieving you and his relief and the pillow because

      You are hundred percent correct, just think if you’d put that 84 hrs a week in at home .
      You’d get overtime and lay in your own bed and fuck the ole lady at night. Tow boat job is a dead end career lol I know
