I'm definitely excited for next season a little more than usual.
We’ve made so real solid moves. We basically have the same star, got rid of a couple of guys that gave the puck away and replaced them with two guys would can score 30-40 goals and play gritty. We’ll have four lines when lines 2&3 could change any time back and forth. Working on some defensive issues but we’ll get there. Ceci and Kulak will probably go saving us 6 million to play with. Now we have enough money to pay for Holloway and Broberg to a combined 2.3 and current cap issue of 325,000 we will leave us with 3,375,000. I think that’s good to have for the trade deadline. Broberg and Holloway will get good raises at 1.1 million dollars. No issue there.
It looks to me that with this roster, they have one top line and two or three second lines depending on the mix.
Can definitely swap line 2 and 3 can call them 2nd line for sure. Even our fourth line could be a 3rd line. Pretty pumped!

IMO we cannot wait until trade deadline to acquire a top 4 RHD. I'm just armchair GM'in here but this would be my plan if I'm JJ. Ceci & Kulak out (+6M) Kane on LTIR (+5.15M), if he doesn't want to, let him know he will be 4th liner or benched for not being a team first player then see if he will waive his no move. Promote Broberg (After signing him and Holloway to 3 yr 2.3 M combined deals) to full time 3rd line LHD, get Stecher going (for now) as 3rd pair RHD Now I have 6M + 400K of LTIR from Kane to go find a bonified top 4 RHD. If I have to, I include Clouder in the deal, TBH I like McLeod but he was horrible for most of the playoffs. I would like to keep him for 1 more season, but he can be a casualty. I also like the idea of Lavoie cracking the roster depending on his camp and pre season.

@@johanstinson Listen, I believe he can take over that role as well. But he has to take it. This season he should be on his natural side on the 3rd pairing. Why disable him in a growth year? That makes no sense. If no trades happen, IMO Kulak should play 2nd pair RHD Broberg should always be 3rd pairing this year.
