I had such high hopes for the Dark Universe. I wanted to see Ahmanet come back after Frankenstein went on a rampage inside Prodigium (for killing his bride) and fight another Mummy for supremacy. I wanted Dracula's bat hordes to colide with Ahmanet's Storm face. I wanted a new Creature from the Black Lagoon movie about how he is the last of his kind and unable to make a connection with anyone because of his monsterous tendancies. It will always be a nice thought I suppose.

So by killing an alternate version, every remaining version of that person became equally more powerful. This explains how one version was able to dodge with inhuman reflexes in the beginning of the movie, even though he hadnt killed any other version of himself. He just happened to be one of the last three remaining versions, which meant he got one third of the total "power". The movie depicts beautifully, how much difference training can make, even when your base capabilities are boosted to inhuman levels, to the point where training becomes less important.

Terry Crews is the perfect choice for Frankenstein's monster but I'm pretty sure the book version of Dr Jekyll did physically change when he became Mr Hyde. I distinctly remember him getting shorter and younger
He had a more squat posture, with his shoulders pressed forwards and his back hunched. There was a reason that there was an almost imperceptible but impossible to place flaw in his appearance
I never noticed that younger man part. That just makes the scenes with the not very believable love interest all the more comical. Hell, I thought one way to salvage the movie would have for Cruise's character to be the blonde's father because he looked it. Instead of a meaningless hook up, he stole the map under false pretext of patching things up. It would give the blonde layers as she deals with being pissed but wanting to see the good in him. Just now occurred to me it also could have added something to the interactions with Jekyll. Something like, "I know I gave her daddy issues, but if you take advantage of that I'll kick your ass."
Dracula was technically in the Dark Universe, portrayed by Luke Evans, as Dracula Untold was meant to be in the universe, but was retconned out of it after The Mummy was the movie it was.

I never noticed that younger man part. That just makes the scenes with the not very believable love interest all the more comical.
Hell, I thought one way to salvage the movie would have for Cruise's character to be the blonde's father because he looked it. Instead of a meaningless hook up, he stole the map under false pretext of patching things up. It would give the blonde layers as she deals with being pissed but wanting to see the good in him.
Just now occurred to me it also could have added something to the interactions with Jekyll. Something like, "I know I gave her daddy issues, but if you take advantage of that I'll kick your ass."

Dracula was technically in the Dark Universe, portrayed by Luke Evans, as Dracula Untold was meant to be in the universe, but was retconned out of it after The Mummy was the movie it was.
I enjoyed that movie. It had enough camp and an actual arc for Vlad. It definitely could have been better, but it didn't need to be tossed out.
Why is this casting SO MUCH BETTER than the universal studios casting? Great background for all of them and an awesome idea.
