This issue happens to me on a regular basis, sometimes it just fixes itself on its own, and sometimes i use the command prompt solution since its the only one that works for me (even though it only works sometimes) i have no issues with internet on my other devices and ive switched multiple ethernet cables and it still happens, any advice?
You could try setting an static ip adress. It can happens that if you have more devices on the same network can make some conflict between some of them
Life’s bad I have tried everything u said like 3 times already and like a 4-5 other things Which are reboot/reset the router call the internet provider the entire router can’t be the problem, cable is brand new bough yesterday like what the hell am I suppose to do
@@EnriqueCal fixed it after the 5th call with the internet provider they finally admitted it’s their fault and dealt with it them selfs in 5 minutes.. sucks that they instructed me to go out of my way to a pc repair shop instead of doing the job they are “qualified” to do
I wish I saw your vid before I went and did a reset. But if that doesn’t work, I’m going to try and change the DNS setting like you did. I haven’t seen anyone mention that DNS setting at all and I’ve watched a ton of videos. I was wondering when someone was going to give that a try. Lol Thanks for posting this and trying to help us out!
Hey sorry for the really late answer. Here is a link that you can see how to do it. And to enable it is the same process networking.grok.lsu.edu/Article.aspx?articleid=17573
That depends, maybe can be the problem, but I can’t say for sure without testing it myself, and I can’t recommend you to buy one if that doesn’t fix your problem. If there is a way that you can try it with a cable from a friend or to send it back after you have try it then ok
@@EnriqueCal i’ve tried buying a new ethernet cord, i’ve tried every possible solution in this video and still have no luck… could u please help me out
@@HyrosClips something that you can try is to set your ip manually and to try different ones. First you have to see what available ip address your router have (is a range) and set the ip of the pc onto static instead of dynamic. Is a little more complex and I don’t have a guide for it. But you can see how to do all using Google search. Another possibility is that your router have a problem. I would contact my internet provider, tell them about your ip issue to see if they can change your unit
@@EnriqueCal i didn’t try first step because i couldn’t figure it out. i called xfinity and they didn’t help me much. I jus tried changing the router and it still doesn’t work. I noticed that when i type “ipconfig” in the command prompt im not getting a default gateway. I search it up and it said there no way i could connect to a network without a default gateway. Is it a problem with my PC? I’ve tried connecting my TV to the ethernet and it works so i’m confused at this point. If it is a PC problem what would be the solution because i just put in a new motherboard, new ram, and new cpu. So everything is pretty much new. Please help🙏
@@HyrosClips look at this: www.techwalla.com/articles/what-happens-if-i-dont-have-a-default-gateway now when you installed the new mono did you as well did a new Windows install? Did you use the same cable and port on your router to connect your tv? If not try it
The internet works on every single device except my PC. If I change my network module in the motherboard, I can get Ethernet to work for a couple weeks then I lose my connection. I have tried everything. If I reset my network I don't even get the side blue notification when the network is reset.
Then is probably a problem with your system. Or drivers problem or the components itself from your pc. You will have to try to get a network card and install it to try if this is the problem
I dont have a router so I just plugged in the ethernet to my pc but It says ip address not valid but I can connect to bandwith with my name and passsword.Could you help?
Will wiping the computer and resfing it to factory settings work? Ive been working on this for days, i dont have time for this pos of shit winblows system.
Sometimes it can help, try first the easy things, like changing the cable from the ports on your router, uninstall and reinstall drivers. Try a different Ethernet cable. Then you can try to format your drive and make a fresh windows install. But don’t forget to backup everything important from your pc. If nothing work can be 1 of 3. 1. A problem with your internet provider 2. Bad router (you will need to try with a different one, don’t purchase one try a friend or something first) 3. The network controller on your system have issues.
Tried every option, nothing worked. Cant connect to my wired d link extender and ive no wifi option on my pc. Ive tried literally everything and nothing has worked
I’m sorry about that, I always try to do a middle point, because too slow the people complain as well and the retention is lower. So I make them like this and if someone need can always pause it
Did not work, the problem is not the router or the cable because the internet works in another computer. What can I do?
