Ik this is an older video and most people watching probably fixed this problem but i have a very easy fix without using a dns server or reinstalling your adapter, Method 1 If you are using ethernet, either an adapter or a long cable connected to your router. Unplug the other adapter that connects to your router, (not to your pc). And replug it back in. Worked for me! Method 2: you should not be doing anything on ur pc with settings except troubleshooting, but anyways heres the method. Restart your router, simply unplugging the cable or pressing the button that turns of the router (depending on what your router is) and waiting at least 10 seconds, then turning it back on. It might take a while to connect your devices but just be patient These methods worked for me hope they work for you!

I have an X201 Thinkpad. The ethernet has a yellow triangle in it on DM, I've tried everything and can't get it to work. There appears to be no available Windows 10 drivers for it.
Just a heads-up to people like myself who are here. For me, it was Spectrum's modem that was the issue where it was causing this error. I did these steps repeatedly and it still helped but it was beyond this, it was because their modem, for some ridiculous reason, only would 'map' to the a single device when plugged into the ethernet. Originally, I had my desktop connected and then my router wouldn't work. Then, they mapped it to the router thinking everything was good but then I tried my desktop and that's when I was getting this error. I spent the entire weekend, day and night, trying to fix it to no avail. Solution? For me, there was only one... I had to buy another modem/router and split the two. Theirs remained to keep my telephone and the new one had four ports and Wi-Fi built in... everything worked as it should.

IVE TRIED EVERY SINGLE VIDEO AND NONE WORKED WTF
Same here after upgrading to windows10
bro if you are connected to router with LAN cable just put LAN cable in WLAN spot on your router.THen your pc will say something ''allow new ethernet bla bla'' you click yes and you will have ethernet once again. That worked for me after 3 FUCKING HOURS of youtube tutorials and none worked. All of ussuden i tried wlan and worked.
@@tarpe2429 hey man, i tried like 10 youtube tutorials and none of them worked. I tried your solution but i noticed that in my router i dont have a wlan spot. I only have 4 that are named lan1 lan 2 lan3 and lan4 have you got any solution? Thanks
@@fransape9 try turning off your pc then unplug your lan cable from router.Plug it in diffrent lan spot (example from lan 1 to lan 3) and turn on your pc.If that doesnt work try instaling new drivers for ethernet.
January December fuck bill gates I’ll never buy this windows crap again
Like why the fuck do I need another pc for this I wouldn't be on this video if I had another pc
I did all the steps... Then i fixed my problem by installing new driver.. thanks for the option..
Ik this is an older video and most people watching probably fixed this problem but i have a very easy fix without using a dns server or reinstalling your adapter,
Method 1
If you are using ethernet, either an adapter or a long cable connected to your router.
It might take a while to connect your devices but just be patient
These methods worked for me hope they work for you!
That feel when you follow a process step by step, only to uninstall your network drivers without having another computer to get the drivers, nor do I know the name of the driver. I guess I'm an idiot 😐
Any updates
This worked for me the first time, so thank you. Subscribed and liked.
It was really helpful thanks buddy 💯🙌🏽🍻🍻
Thanks. After following your instructions up to 2:12, I restart my computer, then I get my internet connection back on. The flushing and resetting (thru Administrator's Command Prompt) have already fixed the problem without further action.
WHAT DO I NEED TO INSTALL U DIDNT PUT A LINK AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO INSTALL U EVEN DIDINT SAY WE NEED ANOTHER PC
It will be specific to your motherboard
You can find what motherboard you have through device manager
I did the first command restarted and it was good . Think for yourself people. Different things work for different computers. Video helped me!
I use the short way, in w7 , modify nic parameters, if ip assigned, then turn to dhcp, if dhcp, then i assign an ip to see it connects. then shutdown pc, restart. assign dhcp or fixed ip depending. that's it. cheers!
Thanks for sharing you method.
@@Britec09 Thank you for all the videos and sharing your knowledge!!
You're welcome
Solved it with the first step, netsh winsock reset on cmd, resterted and it worked perfectly
LMAO I literally just unplugged my router and plugged it back in and now it works😂😂😂
Same bro 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I have to wait 3 or 4 days and even then it might not work becous it gets unpluggd almaste all the time
Great video and useful info Bri
Cheers Daz
I have tried literally everything these videos have said and nothing is working any ideas .
Gregory Dewar Same for me. Saw you posted this a month ago, does it work for you now? If so, how did you fix it?
Gustav Nilsson yeah I got it working but it was by something that I think is called cpd maybe and all I did was the default fix and it worked not sure tho sorry
@@gregorydewar7473 alright well thanks anyway
Gustav Nilsson did you get it working
THE FIX: PLUG IN A PHONE WITH A USB CABLE AND TURN USB TETHERING ON, I WAS VERY HAPPY TO DISCOVER THIS WORKS
This didn't work for me. No idea what the hell is going on.
@Aaren Audette not directly from these suggestions, but on my fourth attempt of rebooting my router and pc it decided to go back to normal.
Every version of Windows since the Internet exists had the same problem and now almost 30 years later still the same problem, Good Work Microsoft.
Hey can you suggest some optimum settings for Samson Go desktop mic for my laptop.?
Thanks your steps solved my problem and turned around a very bad day!
Hi, thank you for making this wonderful video but I've ran I to a problem. When ever I try and do the ipconfig release or renew it just says "the operation failed as no adapter is in the state of permissible for this operation" How do I fix this?
PrinceWULFE did you make sure to run it under admin? If it happens under admin it might read “no operation can be performed on Ethernet while its media is disconnected” then you gotta troubleshoot other solutions
@@zecapncapn4858 I did run it as an admin, and the troubleshoot but it made no difference. But I've fixed my problem now but thank you :)
@@wolfscarswe HOW?
appeared media is disconected and I cant fix this
@@luisagra385 I figured out how to fix it for me at least. I just shut down my router for 5 min and when you start it again it gets a new IP.
You never told us we need another pc smh, now my network is even more fked up
Guys..
Just manually add IP, DNS, Subnet mask, Gateway in Ipv4 and problem solved.
Need me 3 hours to figure this alone
What the fuck does this even mean
what do i make them??
Brilliant, fixed it for me after the first few steps. You sir are a saint
This one pertained to me so much, thanks
Glad I could help you out.
I have an X201 Thinkpad. The ethernet has a yellow triangle in it on DM, I've tried everything and can't get it to work. There appears to be no available Windows 10 drivers for it.
tried everything in this video and it didnt fix it :(
@mralex070 yeah i got that too lol
Just unplug everything for like 30 mins, replug and run troubleshooter
After following half of this video, I went to the router and changed the ethernet port to another and simply like that it worked🤷♂️
brian can you do a vid on why theres no internet in sandbox
I see what I can do.
it doesn't work the Ipconfig /release
I have the same problem. It seems it cant identify the internet address ir something.
It's going to take a few replays but that is definitely one for the save library.
Cheers
Glad I could help
@@Britec09 Not half as glad as I am🤣
