    Excellent job providing assembly videos on your products. Also you are still as far as I know the only company sharing crashtest videos online. Very nice work.

      Thanks. Yes, we are the only company doing crash bars drop tests. Perhaps more companies will join later on

    Just bought the skid plate crash bar combo using west usa site. Ships from my home state! Great video and instructions. Does this skid plate work with HP7 dominator exhaust?

    I just fitted your skid plate with swmotech crash bars, but the strap that goes over the water pump wouldn't clear when used with the 15mm spacer provided by SW Motech, and there wasn't any spacer provided with the skid plate from you. Is there supposed to be? One is needed if you were just going to fit your skid plate by itself. I ended up making two 25mm spacers and putting the strap between them (the two spacers provided by SW Motech were 15mm and 36mm). It worked out fine in the end, but you need to address this in your instructions and provide the required spacers at the very least for customers that just want to use the skid plate by itself. You would also need to provide longer bolts with the skid plate as well, as my kit didn't come with the longer bolts either. Luckily SW Motech provided these with the crash bars.

    This skid plate looks great and seems like it will protect the lower vitals very well. I was ready to buy unti I saw the installation. Now Im not so sure if I want to deal with that every oil change.

      It takes 3-5 minutes to uninstall the skid plate. The brackets can stay in place

      @@Outbackmotortek Thank you for the response. I'm still a bit hesitant on the skid plate for the moment as am not sure I want to add any additional time/complication to the oil change process, as there may be times that this is performed roadside somewhere. I really like the idea behind the T-Rex Racing skid plate with the ability to leave the plate on for oil changes. However, their skid plate is otherwise inferior and not as protective as yours (unless adding the significantly additional complication, bulk and weight of their lower crash bars. No thanks.). I will decide on the skid plate later, but I did already order two sets of your crash bars. Thank you for providing products that are not overly complicated, designed to be used, and not just for looks, and thank you for actually testing them before I do!

    Hello, why you not use the connection from the exhaust bracket?

  • @ernest3074
    @ernest3074 Рік тому

    At 3:17 you do not put blue Loctite on the bolt (bracket to integrate the front left crash bar), nor at 3:55 for the right hand bolt. The only time I see you apply Loctite is at the back brackets (5:50). While you stress the bracket has to be loose so you can integrate everything, you do not appear to revisit them later at the torquing part - to apply Loctite. Any reason why not?

      We don’t put Loctite on bolts, which thread in the engine block.

    Great product! Is it possible to use together with OEM center stand?

      Yes, it’s compatible

    • @DadCanFixAnything
      @DadCanFixAnything Рік тому +1

      From my experience, center stands are great, unless you do much serious off-roading and then they are just a nuisance. That is not just due to the extra weight, but if riding more aggressively, they also get in the way a lot and will drop down on any hard hits/landings creating a nuisance at best and possibly a serious risk if it gets caught up at speed. Happy riding!

    Why not have captured nuts on the brackets instead of messing around with nylocs?

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  10 місяців тому +1

      It makes the overall experience of installing the skid plate easier. Captured nuts can be cross threaded easier if there’s tension on any of the skid plate brackets

      @@Outbackmotortek it’s a lot of unnecessary messing about every oil change.
      Hunting about every time I drop a nyloc. I have big hands and little patience.
