I love rock climbing! It's such an amazing work out, it pushes you beyond anything you ever thought you could do physically and mentally. When you're belayed in, you put all your trust in your friend.
Bouldering is a LOT physically harder than climbing, but climbing is a lot more of a mental game, when you're 50-100 feet up in the air with just your fingernails and tiptoes wedged into holds, your friend down below, nothing but a rope and harness keeping you from falling. I'd love to see the Try Friends go climbing in belay up 30-50 feet. That would be awesome!

I go bouldering at a climbing gym all the time and i LOVE it. The mats at the bottom are super thick so people fall and the are like...... YAY

One time during a school trip we were told to go across a river on a rope with a harness, as part of the adventure challenge trip. Reaction; uncontrollable tears, trouble breathing, panic attack. I knew I had a fear of heights and falling, and yet right after that, we were forced to do rock climbing. I didn't even make it up 2 meters before I freaked! Kudos to the people who managed this!

I work at a rock climbing gym, and one of the most fun things I see everyday with new climbers is when they're just starting out and they want to try the hardest possible route. Climbing is the best!

That's true Avery but bouldering is a sub group in rock climbing as a whole. I know there are various other types such as lead climbing,top roping, free climbing and many others. Bouldering is rock climbing but rock climbing isn't just bouldering so I see what you are saying. I'm just glad they participated in a sport I have enjoyed doing for the past couple of years.
