I love how Duke and the RE4 Merchant are so mysterious. Both seem to be supernatural somehow (RE4 Merchant appears to have Las Plagas based on his eyes) and they are free from any kind of danger.
Ethan can easily be alive considering how the mold works and how it saves consciousness, crumbling doesn’t mean anything, in RE 7 DLC Jack came back from getting crumbled by the E-Necrotoxin and that was specifically design to kill the mold.
There’s another RE 3.5 reference in Village: Lady Dimtrescu’s daughters use sickles to attack Ethan. It’s very similar to the shadow enemies with hooks attacking Leon in early versions of the game.
Nah, I'd say more similar to the literal sickle wielding Ganados enemies in RE4, though I don't really think either were necessarily an inspiration for it.
In the factory, if you shoot a soldat off the rack (you get an achievement/trophy for it) from inside the elevator where the Duke sets up shop, he actually becomes impressed (he says “tres bien”).
The Duke doesnt get impress by that. He just react to you shooting your gun near him. I was also confuse once I shoot the wooden goat and he said something.

I really hope that RE9 had a choice system we’re Ethan and Evelyn fight over the fate of Rose. Her actions in the game will tether the story to who she wants to be. Ethan being the good ending shows how love can save everyone and Evelyn’s could be how anger and hate can destroy everything.
Another thing to add to all the hints of him being mold is how different characters keep calling him "manthing". Lady D even calls him a man thing during the big group meeting.
In the foreshadowing of Ethan's true mold creature state, you forgot the line of Heisenberg at the meeting of the lords '' let's see what you really made of Ethan Winters ". Really enjoyed the video please make more
I enjoy where the story is going. The pharmaceutical industry starting a virus felt kind of overplayed. Them going deeper with it and these “higher power” characters make it more interesting in my opinion.

#7 Treasure: I posted about it on Reddit as well. During the boss fight, the treasure disappears, but then reappears afterwards. There's something funky about it.
Since we're talking about George Trevor, there's an Easter egg in RE7 which suggests that the house or at the very least the puzzles in the Baker Estate was also designed by George Trevor, same guy who designed the Spencer Mansion, and the author of the book on European Castles found in Ethan's bedroom in RE8 as mentioned in this video.
The file you're thinking of mentions "Trevor & Chamberlain Construction," but notably not Trevor himself. It's likely that his business partner kept the name of the company, but Trevor himself died at the Spencer Estate in the 60s. The file in RE7 states that the Baker Estate was constructed in the 90s.
Maybe Wesker survived RE5, went to the Village to learn about the viruses he was attacked with, ran into Heisenburg, and he explained that Chris punched a boulder and threw him into a volcano. :-)
@@blacktemplar1765 The only other person in the crater was Sheva, and i can see how she tells other BSAA-Agents about "How Cris got the Roid Rage and punched a boulder while she got fucked up by Wesker". And that thats what saved her, because Wesker was "WTF is going on with this guy?"
He looks the same as the photo's of Ethan that have been circulating around the internet since RE7. It's not the first time RE fans are seeing his face. Nice that Capcom finally made it official though.
Small youtuber "Themkiwiguys" points out every single Easter egg, hes an encyclopedia of resident evil games and movies, so good Oh an Dino crisis, he catches everything.
Theory: What if the reason Heisenberg knows Chris is a boulder punching A-hole is because Wesker is a part of the hivemind that is the Mold. Since all if this stuff originated from the Village and it has existed all this time and is the root of everything that has ever happened in the RE universe?
He wouldn't have access to that knowledge though. Also who know what effect he would have on the megamycete. Then again probably none. One is a virus and one is a virus enhanced fungus.
Miranda also basically blacklisted all news from the outside world, except at Otto’s Mill there’s a note that says Duke sold newspapers to Otto before he became what he did. With Heisenberg’s distaste for Miranda and Duke opening up shop in his factory I wouldn’t doubt that Duke would sell some newspapers to Karl as well.
Great list. I absolutely LOVED the lore tie-in that the letter form Spencer functions as. I will note, however, that the save room remix is much closer to the inter-chapter music from RE4.
You can also melee arrows in 4&5...not too sure about 4, but you can *DEFINITELY* do it in 5. Edit: Could Ethan, in the epilogue, be just a placeholder?
RE8's ending was super satisfying. I was kinda just powering through the whole "Ethan really just popped his hand right back on" bit because I liked the game so much, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me at the time. The pacing and the way the action ramps up towards the end is great, too.
Fun Fact: Remember Donna Beneviento's Doll house? That section when you have to head to her house is actually taken from RE4 beta version before Capcom completely revamped the story. You're walking through a haunted house with possessed killer dolls. Interesting. Wait he just said it in the video 😆.
Don’t know if anyone else knows this but I found out today if you have a pistol equipped while you’re guarding you can shoot while guarding at the same time thought it was neat
Remember the Photo of Rose and Mia you have to put into the slot before you can enter the doll area, right after the grave? If you flip it over before you put it in at any point, it is blank, right after the fight and you get everything back, look at the photo again, on the back there is now a message, as if it is from someone telling you to protect Rose.

There is 2 rooms in the castle that are designed after rooms from the mansion in RE1. The dining room in the castle looks like the dining room you see your first zombie in RE1. There is also a piano room that’s similar to the piano in RE1. This game is centered around RE1 nostalgia and RE4 atmosphere gameplay.
Joseph Kendo is Robert Kendo's brother and is the guy who made Samurai Edge, Falcon. #8 - that's also if not exactly the same but very similar to save room in RE4. Now other curious stuff: - Wolfsbane magnum might be reference to "The Colt" from Supernatural, It's a bit of a stretch but: though Wolfsbane is newer model compared to one in the show, but same fixed cylinder, 5 round design, also has a phrase in Latin ("Thy will be done", Colt in the show - "I will fear no evil") on the barrel and you find it with only 3 shots (just like The Colt in the show when Winchesters finally acquire it). - If you don't pull the curtain and just crouch in front of the Heisenberg's "wall of intrigue" you can see photos of all characters, The Duke included. What is interesting though is that slightly to the right of the photo of The Duke we know - there's a photo of young man, who has same hairstyle and nose as The Duke, which leads me to believe that Heisenberg might've found out Duke's identity.
It's not just the Castle, the villages are exact copies from real life, same goes with the craftable foods, you can find them and eat em if you're that curious, the most fun, of them all, is that you can visit all the medieval castles in Romania with a 2day pass/tour for really really cheap

The greatest reference to RE4 Merchant that everyone missed is the very store layout when you talk to the duke.
The most memorable thing about the merchant was that he constantly called Leon "Stranger" in every single phrase. "Welcome Back Stranger!" "Stranger, Stranger!".
But if you look at the title of the Duke's Emporium is written:
"No one's a stranger to the emporium"
Which to me was amazing.

Or yknow a traditional tool and weapon in the region
Nah, I'd say more similar to the literal sickle wielding Ganados enemies in RE4, though I don't really think either were necessarily an inspiration for it.
You forgot to mention, that when you look at Lady D through the open door of Duke's shop in her castle, she just "looks" at you.
she's like "Yeah I know your there, but I'm not going to bother going in there."
Same when you are about to leave the castle there is a point where she won't follow you and just standing there and watching you.^^
In the factory, if you shoot a soldat off the rack (you get an achievement/trophy for it) from inside the elevator where the Duke sets up shop, he actually becomes impressed (he says “tres bien”).
The Duke doesnt get impress by that. He just react to you shooting your gun near him. I was also confuse once I shoot the wooden goat and he said something.
the biggest mystery about the duke is how does he fit through some of those doors

So one of Evelyns abilities was to create hallucinations and we know that Rose is the improved version of Evelyn. So my money is on: the Ethan that stopped the car is just a hallucination created by Rose
I really hope that RE9 had a choice system we’re Ethan and Evelyn fight over the fate of Rose. Her actions in the game will tether the story to who she wants to be. Ethan being the good ending shows how love can save everyone and Evelyn’s could be how anger and hate can destroy everything.

I enjoy where the story is going. The pharmaceutical industry starting a virus felt kind of overplayed. Them going deeper with it and these “higher power” characters make it more interesting in my opinion.

I used the RE7 music so every time I went in the safe room it had "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" playing. So good
...I gotta call this out...that isn't the music, or a "remix" from re1...it's the re4 typewriter/save music tones. They literally did a side-by-side and it still doesn't even sound like it 😂
#7 Treasure: I posted about it on Reddit as well.

Small youtuber "Themkiwiguys" points out every single Easter egg, hes an encyclopedia of resident evil games and movies, so good
Oh an Dino crisis, he catches everything.

In 4 you definitely can
RE8's ending was super satisfying. I was kinda just powering through the whole "Ethan really just popped his hand right back on" bit because I liked the game so much, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me at the time. The pacing and the way the action ramps up towards the end is great, too.

Now other curious stuff:
- Wolfsbane magnum might be reference to "The Colt" from Supernatural, It's a bit of a stretch but: though Wolfsbane is newer model compared to one in the show, but same fixed cylinder, 5 round design, also has a phrase in Latin ("Thy will be done", Colt in the show - "I will fear no evil") on the barrel and you find it with only 3 shots (just like The Colt in the show when Winchesters finally acquire it).
I think it would've been funny if Dimitrescu just looked around confused if you shoot the grenade into the room, since she's still too strong to be hurt by the grenade, and also still fails to notice Ethan approaching
