First time I've seen your channel, my Dad told me about you. Matt works at my Dad's house.😊 You have a new subscriber...Great vid, very entertaining. Davey
This would have been better if you would have both started with the same pile of components and had to scratch build vehicles to complete these challenges without modifications between rounds. Let the individual engineering shine through
I like the use of Rudyard Lake to test amphibious remote control cars, as its the same lake where Top Gear tested their amphibious cars for the first time
Great video, was very entertaining. For the next challenge, I would love to see something with a little bit more build and modify volume. Like, get a spefific car kit for x bucks, you can use y bucks on electronics and 3D printed parts plus everything you got at home like foam and controller, not special parts, enjoy, modify it like you want. Have no clue about prices, but maybe 300 bucks in total? Something that encourages you to cut corners and don't modify something like hell, but also gets a liabel modifing project (series). Could be pretty interesting as a Community action or with more DIY creators.
I think it would have been better to put you guys in the thumbnail. I only hovered on the thumbnail on accident to get the preview and then I remembered "Oh yeah these guys". Otherwise I would not have paid attention because of how many thinking channels there are now. Also, nice vid!
Did you find the front wheels helped with steering in the water? I'd have gone with a combined water and air rudder, both attached to the same servo and a skeg to keep the boat straight. Obviously ground clearance would be an issue when out of the water but it sits a fair way off the ground.
Without wishing to pry, surely you make more than 2k/year on your channel, so how does this balance out with the $2k USD limit/year, as mentioned at 9:08?
I don’t think he’ll be using the hobbyists version, he’s just promoting, it’s 2k profit anyway so you could make a million turnover and if your company doesn’t make a profit I guess you can still use it
Next project for you. Use two of these 15 sec burn motors and see how high you can get (with one motor a guy got over 17,000 feet). AEROTECH 29MM HP SU DMS MOTOR - H13ST-P Also it would be rad to have it go arrow straight by looking back at the pad and making flight corrections (done with KISS design and low weight). Yes, talk is cheap.
Was that Monsal Head and part of the Monsal trail you used for the endurance race. It looks very familiar. Great video, super value fun for money, well done!!
Entertaining video, I'm impressed how well those survived. I was walking the Monsal Trail a few weeks ago, did they leave the lights on for you a night? I was wondering whether they locked up the tunnels at night, I guess not :)
I feel a bit guilty writing this as I have loved all your videos so far. I did enjoy the Scalextric long track but not really this one - I much prefer your normal style, with ideas, trials, printing parts, failure, eventual success. I am sure that sort of content is much more difficult to make though. A big thank you for all your work (including this video) so far.
An idea for next time. Have the first 2 or so challenges give time rewards/penalties which get implemented on the final challenge. That way even if one side wins the majority in the beginning, there still is a chance for the underdog in the final.
There was a cartoon that I watched, seeing this reminded me of it as it gave off that vibe from an episode, George Shrinks: Speed Shrinks It was an "Iron Car Rally", the vehicles had to be capable of land, air and sea for the race, it would be interesting to see what you two could do for an endurance rance where they have to capable of land, air and sea, but not in stages like you did in this video I think it would be a fun project and would be interesting to see what different designs you two would come up with to tackle conquering land, air and sea Just a thought
I always look forward to when you release a new video, please can you do a shop tour and what cameras and tools etc you use as in the last video it looked like you had maybe got and extended shop.😀
Mr. Kipling & his wife spent their honeymoon on Lake Rudyard, guess what they named their son (True!) Electric & foamboard seem a good way to test out which of the 'Wacky Racer's aircraft would really fly! : )
Hope you enjoy this slightly different style of video - I'm trying a new thing! Give the video a like if you did. 😉
It was awesome, i'd love to see more like this!
What an amazing video! I would love to do something like this with my friends! Absolutely worth a subscribe!
First time I've seen your channel, my Dad told me about you. Matt works at my Dad's house.😊

Davey
use a samsung flip as a door hinge
The best hinge ever
So true
Yes It will definitely not break 👍
Brilliant
I use a gold bar as a doorstop😊
This was a really fun race! 😀Those little cars were surprisingly good! 🏆
nice one
This was a fun video!!!
omg
Next video is submarine car like ini Bond movie
I like the top gear idea, run a disused train track as a racing course for miniatures, brilliant!
Fun fact, Rudyard Lake is where Top Gear tested their first amphibious cars
literally thinking exactly the same when I saw the premise! Brilliant
@@collie147 It's a bit different but I really enjoyed making it!
This would have been better if you would have both started with the same pile of components and had to scratch build vehicles to complete these challenges without modifications between rounds. Let the individual engineering shine through
What I love about Britain: sportsmanship, good humour and genuine humility. Long may those qualities persist.
I like the use of Rudyard Lake to test amphibious remote control cars, as its the same lake where Top Gear tested their amphibious cars for the first time
It's definitely the place to go for amphibious vehicle testing! :)
The boating part needed twin rudders to direct the air flow better, still it makes me want one of these cars

Love the sportsman ship! Well done!
4:25 You’re in 2nd position mate, cheer up :)
Nice touch using Rudyard Lake for the amphibious trial as Top Gear did many years ago.
Looks like a great time and a lot of fun
Would love to see this car upgraded more
Maybe next time!
@@Project-Aircan’t wait
Great fun, thanks for recording another race!
Glad you enjoyed!
This was a ton of fun to watch. I'd love to see more friendly challenges/competitions like this!
Loved this. They definitely didn't build the toy-grade RC's to this quality when I was younger.
Brilliant work, guys! Nicely done!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your families! 🖖😊

In typical TopGear style, after agreeing on the winner for the 10 miles, you should have overtake just before the end ... 😁
Rudyard lake is famous for amphibious cars. Big and small. but mostly of the sunken type
Please you guys should do this again but build your own cars with a set budget, would be awesome 👌
Outstanding 🎉🎉🎉

Great stuff!!!!
toys are perfect :)
Great job you guys. Looked a fun challenge.
I really like the tiny Top Gear (or The Tiny Tour) idea, run with it.
i would love to see this kind of format but based on the scrapheap challenge format,
UA-cam must really hate this video because I never got an alert or a recomendation. I feel robbed

love it mr james
these little cars where champs :)
My kinda race 😎
You need to do one where you test cheap rc cars in land sea and sky and do a competition on that
Could you give the link to these RC cars please?
I'm glad you guys had fun
Amazing
It’s Really fun to watch. I like it’s moor teamwork then a competition.
Man I just love Mat's smile man 😄
We need more RC Top Gear style challenges!
Was that Monsal Head and part of the Monsal trail you used for the endurance race. It looks very familiar.
Great video, super value fun for money, well done!!
Came ask the same thing, sure looks like it.
I was thinking the same thing - since he's also at Rudyard, that would be the most logical answer.
Yes, Rudyard is only a relatively short distance, so would make sense. My next question is, where is the steepest road?
Good question @@darrenellerton9219, I don't recognise that! - I know some pretty steep roads in Sheffield but this one is more of a lane :-)
I'm pretty sure it's Bamford Clough, east of Bamford, near Ladybower Reservoir.
Rudyard lake… basically a miniature top gear!
Endurance RC is so weirdly fun. Great video!
Really waited for this month's video💯
Maybe on the next race, do all the mods first so that the mods have to work for all the events!
Wise words .. "you need the authority of the flow of (Project)Air" (12:46)
Maybe the race race next year needs more air-driven challenges?
That looked like a lot of fun. You forgot to add an end card!
I'm getting some James May Toy Stories vibes.
obvious matt had the better electronics from the start
now both of you go ham on the electronics and see who can win this time!!
Yes more of this please.
Entertaining video, I'm impressed how well those survived. I was walking the Monsal Trail a few weeks ago, did they leave the lights on for you a night? I was wondering whether they locked up the tunnels at night, I guess not :)
That hill gave me anxiety when GCN was on it😂
How about for the next one do a normal race then a water race and finally make them fly haha I think y’all could pull it off nice video.
Awesome!
You should do this again but modify the cars wayyy more add a more powerful moter use a 4s battery and more powerful headlights just some tips
Looks fun!
I recognise Monsal dale. great video.
This was so fun!!
Land Rover defender😮
NEAT
Loved it!
I was wondering, can you build a underwater jetpack? We're not doing it. Turn your volume to turn your volume to maximum.
Make a Hunter Killer Drone
Ha ha i am a big RC fan thats a hilarious race! Maybe next more starters! Maybe a Helicopter air race...
Those little MN90 are great value for money, though I’d recommend paying slightly more and going for the MN99 version, it has better electrics

I actually have the greenish one
Another win for British ingenuity.

MORE MORE MORE.......😍
Geez 10 miles what is that in scale 250 or something pretty incredible I like those little RC cars and I always enjoyed RC cars as a kid
Two big boys! Me envious??? Noooooooooooo ... don't be riciculous! Oh, well ... a little then hahaha! :D

You should appear in a diy perks video too. Use a jet engine for a tweeter or something. World's fastest TV. Remote control PC case.
Great fun. God bless
Is that seriously the steepest road in Britain? No way...
was the endurance race on the monsal trail?
Nice

MAKE IT FLY!!!!!!!!!!!
two rudders and two smaller ducted fans might fix your torque problem.
smoke came out of the car at 11:29
How many scale miles was the ten mile run? How many scale miles per mah?
0:42 Two millennia later: “Project-Air was just a modest UA-camr. The trophy would have been this modest 3D print.”
“You have chosen wisely.”

DIYperks description link is broken for me. [Android YT app]
Well that was interesting 👌🏻
Scale Le Mans 24hr race, hybrid cars only. 🤔👍
This should be a thing
Can you try making a playlist for racing others
We’re can I buy the truck
this video was amazing as usual
also please make another model train video🙏🙏🙏
What are the cars called?
Hey Mr. Perks, please may a DIY RC Car or RC drone on your channel. 🎉🎉🎉
You need a skeg! bit of a rubbish competition since matt won just because he got a faster car out of the box but its all for fun anyway.
