Canopy looks great. You will learn to love it as I did. Just a little learning curve on the initial trips out to the forest. But having it makes tractor work in the sun much, much more enjoyable. Enjoy and thanks for taking us along.
Thanks, Paul! Yeah, I had to be especially mindful of low limbs with my umbrella canopy. I make it a habit to limb up the trails in the woods where I take the tractor. Thanks for watching!
I like the idea of a canopy Martin. I like your fan also. I sit right out in the sun and bake all day long as it is. Just keeping the sun off of the operator makes a big difference. That fan takes comfort to a whole new level. That looks like it is a quality piece.
Martin, after watching you install your Bare-Co canopy, I decided that was the one for me. I like the rack that no drilling is required. So I ordered an Orange one for my CK3510 Kioti. I was able to mount all the mounting hardware my self, despite just getting over knee replacement surgery on both knees. Then my son-in-law and grandson helped me set the canopy on top and mount the t brackets. It all went together easily, and looks really good. Thanks for the installation video!
Wow Martin, you've been talking about getting a tractor canopy for some time now and behold, the desire is fulfilled. Loved that PTO Connect reached out to you. Their friemdly gesture will meet the needs of both you and them. The canopy was not too difficult to assemble/install. I would have maintained your side LED lights instead of cutting them off. At least you have the front and rear facing LED lights. An excellently executed video, as usual. I'm so happy for you since the timing is perfect. For the hot weather cometh (smile). So please enjoy the canopy and be safe in your actives chores. Things are well here in North Carolina. I just came inside and sat down from several hours of mowing grass on my little Massey GC 1710 and now am enjoying a chicken salad sandwich and a nice tall glass of ice sweet tea (SWAIT TAY that is) There's a slight twang in the enunciation of sweet tea that one picks up from living in our little country town , ha 🙂). Okay my friend, have an exceptional week and keep looking up for He will come.
Hi Don! Yes, I’m excited to have it and was thrilled that Tractor Add-Ons offered it to me in exchange for the video. It was impossible to keep the side lights as the were mounted, but as I said in the video, they are going back on and I already have the hardware for it. You’ll see this in a future video. Chicken salad! Yum!!! Can’t beat “swait tay” on a hot day! Have a most excellent week, Don! Thanks for watching!
Good evening Martin. Great job on the detailed and honest install video as always. That is a great looking canopy- and I am sure it will help to keep the Georgia sun off you as you work through those hot summers. :)) Thanks for sharing and congrats on the product demo!
Glad I saved my roof and frame when I sold the golf cart.. A little work, left over scrap steel and apparently I saved a lot of money. Even put LED lights front and rear.. Total cost was whatever the lights cost, otherwise it was free... and I certainly don't consider myself mechanically inclined..
Sold me Martin!! I’m waiting for my tractor to be delivered but, I can see this being an early purchase. My Mrs., wondered about a cab, but I’m too old New England to even consider it…this however is a real distinct possibility! Not for me mind you…but for the Mrs.😁
Congrats on getting the new canopy (and for free!). Looks like a nice upgrade from the umbrella. Have thought to get one for my L3901, we'll see. Appreciate your review to now consider this model as an option.
@@DIYMyWay Hi Martin! Looks like I am about ready to pull the trigger on a canopy. When you were researching yours, did you happen to check out the Curtis/Artillian model? I am comparing several and like some of the features it has; especially the quick attach/detach. Michael
Hi Michael! Yes, I am familiar with that one. If you need an easily removable one, that one is a good choice. Houndsman One has a video of installing one on his Massey GC1710. Good luck with your choice!
Great video and canopy. Now I am thinking about how to get approval from the finance committee for one for my new Kubota. I tell myself I could be mowing in the shade! Thanks for another great video sir!
Martin one drawback that I have noticed since adding my canopy is that the engine noise is louder. I now have to wear ear pro when operating my tractor. Love you vids!
Hi Rob! Interesting. I haven’t noticed that my tractor is louder with the canopy, but then again I usually wear ear pro operating my tractor. So glad you enjoy my videos! Thanks for watching!
Nice looking Canopy, I like the looks of it but I really needed one I can remove easily so I had to go with a Rhinohide. I like the fact that these come in the different colors if I didn't have to remove mine all the time I would consider one of these for my New Holland. They look really well made and easy to install.
Very cool, Martin! I spent about 5 hours in the sun today grading the side yard with my B2601 (without any shade). Luckily the sunlight up here in WA state isn't has harsh as where I grew up in the MS Delta. I'd love to get one of those canopies, but not until I get the forests in shape - I'd hate to slam the thing into a low branch!
Hi David! Cool is the right word! It really keeps you 😎 in the hot ☀️. I limb up the areas in the woods where I take my 🚜 and often carry telescoping loppers on board for that purpose. Thanks for watching!
Martin, could you please do a short follow-up video on how you had to move your lights after the canopy? I just bought the canopy and was waiting on it until I installed my flood lights. Thank you sir!
I have an older Kubota, and a lot of bugs. What I did was mount my light under the forward edge of the roof, to clear trees, protect from rain, etc. And mounted two 4 inch lights on my rear fenders. All the light is aways trim me, lighting what I need, and keeping the bugs just a little farther from me.
I ended up mounting the light bar to the front edge of the canopy and remounted the side lights in about the same position as before. So I have 360 degree lighting again but none of it shines on me. Thanks for watching!
Free! Well kind of. I think they got the better deal, because now they have a perfect How To Install Video. I'll have to see about getting one. thanks.
Awe shucks, Super Jamster1! I appreciate that! It seems to be a really nice canopy and well designed. I did realize how great is is to have a real canopy until I had one. Thanks for watching!
This looks like a really great tractor canopy. Simple solid mount. I wish it had one more feature, which is the ability to make it easily removable for transport.
True. On the other hand, remove the 4 clamp bolts and it’s off. If you don’t transport your tractor often, it’s not a big deal. You’d just have to have a place to store the bolts, and clamp pieces along with the canopy. Thanks for watching!
Well done video..I store my tractor 10 miles away in the winter,,,while at the farm its also kept inside...how much wind will the top withstand when I transport it to and fro...MPH...45 to 50???
Thanks! I have no idea how much wind it will take facing forward on the trailer, but if you can load the tractor backwards, it would probably hold up fine. Thanks for watching!
Hey thanks for vid. I just installed mine on bx 1500 a little different install as brackets mount to top of rops not side. This thing is stout. The metal framing is impressive. I highly recommend. Your vid helped on install. I had no instructions. I used a square and tape as i have uneven driveway.

Martin - what is the wind load rating for this canopy - as in miles per hour? I’d like to still be able to trailer my tractor without damaging it. Would backing the tractor onto the trailer alleviate my concerns?
Hi Scott! I have no idea, but you can probably find out by contacting Bare-Co. Backing your tractor on the trailer should put a lot less stress on the canopy, so that sounds like a good idea. Thanks for watching!
Orange sure is looking spiffy now! As always, wonderful and informative instructional video. If you could, would love to see a short video on the findings of over head light. I would think moving it to the front rail would give off a much better light then from behind your head. Just how do those lights effect the bugs at night anyways?
Hi Dave! I never did the night test because I realized I wouldn’t like the result so I’m just going to move it to the front. The lights do attract bugs. All the more reason to move it forward so they won’t be buzzing right around my head! Thanks for watching!
I keep searching for a canopy that I can easily remove but still is stable. I also am looking for one that actually offers some relief while using the backhoe. I like the look of this but wonder how much it helps cover you when the backhoe is on. It does not appear to be easily removed without removing the bolts. Thank you for the video.
Hi El! No my canopy is not easily removed. It offers a little cover while on the backhoe but not much. There are easy to remove canopies that are reversible for backhoe operation. Thanks for watching!
