I tell you what, nothing makes us old guys happier than showing young guys stuff we’re excited about. Good for y’all for giving Jimmy his flowers 😊 Also, plastic from laundry pods and household items can be used for everything.
If you ever need another set of decals for “Larry’s Garage,” let me know. I have a set in front of me from a 1970’s AMT model kit. Did I hear you say in a previous video that one of your raceway turns was modeled after a turn on the Bridgehampton Race Circuit? I live within a mile of what once was that track.
your imagination and creativity never ceases to amaze me .I love how You're always on the hunt for stuff that you can re-purpose into track pieces . I'm not in to slot car racing any more , but I look forward to watching every video you put out . keep them coming!
Thanks Jimmy for another deep dive into the details that I never get tired of seeing!! Giving myself a pat on my back for shouting out loud ''sewing machine bobbin'' when you zoomed into the water hose reel and confirmed my guess was correct :-) As for suggestions on what I would like for you to showcase next ?? *EVERYTHING !!* Thanks again for showing us that one man's junk mail is another man's museum quality treasure Edit: maybe a few minutes or a few laps of slow night driving with an onboard camera (is your setup capable of running the opposite direction ? That would also be cool to see on a few slow night laps with an onboard camera)
Ryan just another amazing video. Always love to hear you and your uncles Jimmy enthusiasm. His creativity and the way his mind works is just amazing. Question: are the model kits for the pick up still available today? I would love to build an emergency 51 vehicle.
Beautifully made, using recycled materials and a lot of imagination, I do the same with my train track, I also use a lot of packaging materials, such as cardboard and plastic straws, transparent plastic for windows etc etc A really beautiful race track, super realistic. I also built a race track 6 years ago, scale 1:32 now demolished, and started with a train track 1:160. I had the problem with the copper tape, that it oxidized every time and turned green after a few months, how is this possible? Keep it up, I wish I had discovered your race track sooner, I don't have enough space to build another race track, and here in the Netherlands there are hardly any race track fanatics. Unfortunately....... Greetz Chester from the Netherlands😏
Jimmy greetings from Perth down under what brand were the model kits? Big question are they still available as I would like to have a go at building emergency vehicles for my track. Cheers Steve.
Steve, the trucks were Monogram/AMT models of the "Snap Fast" kind. Later they repopped the Ford and Chevy trucks as Monster Trucks with huge over sized wheels. The monster trucks, I am told, can still be found. But, they say that the Snap Fast Ford truck kits are rare and hard to find. Thanks for your great comments my friend! Go back and forward TBE Lunch King videos to all you think might appreciate it!
Thank you Jimmy I managed to order a monster truck online. It only remains to be seen how hard it will be to convert the chassis back or just bite the bullet and build a new one! I will let you know how I get one Cheers Mate.
just a note Bill Everette built his o scale trollies and he built 5000 trollies out of card stock and wood and he built all his layout scrached built go to the orange trolly museum in orange california check it out you'll have a good time
The attention to detail and creativity is second to none !

Truly amazing. I enjoyed that.
