    Sure is fun getting to go along with you out on the line. Gonna miss seeing that ol trapping sleigh. Be great to catch that lynx! I haven’t done much on snow machines really, but it looks like it’s not the easiest ride. Bet you sleep well up there. The quality of your videos is absolutely outstanding Norm. Really do enjoy them.

    New subscriber, I am 50 years trapping, we just now getting some snow. Still not enough ice to run snow machine out on ice to run snares for beaver. I do so enjoy your videos. Thank you

    Been on the side a few times. Check your air box. When sled goes on its side the engine oil can go into the air box, leaving engine low on oil. Thanks for bringing us along the trail.

    I hope you enjoy making these videos as much as I do watching them. It must take a lot of extra work and time to set the cameras up. I do some trapping also but mostly beavers. My wife just said to me that video is better than any thing on TV, it is relaxing just listening to it.

    Great job on the video especially when your having mishaps. Glad your ok. We sure need some snow. My hubby used to trap and he's really impressed with the care and pride in how you put up fur. I appreciate you not showing the gross stuff lol

    I have Turtled my Expedition a few times also Norm. They just flop over in a second. Wide ski skins help prevent a bit.

    Thanks for the videos norm. It makes me feel like im almost there! The way you put that martin up is the way i put mink up. It seems to bunch the fur up more on the back above the tail.

    Great to see you out again for another season norm. I remember in the early days of youtube with that old polaris, you wouldn't travel during blows or white out conditions. I recommended you get a GPS and mount it than you go can go home anytime. Come a long way.

    Between you Jason Robert’s and the wild north you guys got me into trapping, this fall I’ve caught a few foxes and otter and I’m no expert at it but I’m trying and enjoying every minute of it and watching you guys videos will I’m prove my skills

    Great day ! Hope you pick a few of those wolves, that nice Marten , Lynx dont sink much in the snow , Hey friend if you tip just cut a 8 foot long tree & stick it in the front part of your track, gives you lots of leverage easy to tip them without winching,

      Every set is punched in my gps but not the 330 or 220 boxes. I move them around all the time.

    Hi Norm nice video I also pin the hind legs by the tail . A furgrader suggested that method to me as that way it brunches the thick fur up onto the back making it for a better grade. Makes sense to me when he said it and I also like the look of it better . Thanks for sharing

    Hey Norm, Good news...Maine got snow...my home had 11" of that fluffy stuff with higher winds than expected...Stay safe and my husband had a deer jump in front of 21 yr old Izusu Rhodeo☹️☹️☹️yup. State guy said we could keep it but too much ground glass in the body...it will go to a trapper over in Sandford Maine for his bait...he drags a deer hind-quarter behind his sled for scent in his trapping area.     I hate when my big 4 stroke sled is on its side, I have even used my 12 volt winch in the side saddle just to right it again. Hope you get some snow soon.

    Hi Norm from Dave in Alaska. I have done marten with the hind legs tacked next to the tail and also think it is a good presentation of the fur. Not sure if it helps on length. Glad to see you are having fun. Best wishes to you.

    Happy New Year!! Winter weather has finally arrived in my part of Northern Manitoba too, along with the freezing temperatures. On the bright side, though, not a mosquito or blackfly around. If the hitches are the same width, why not swap them around, and keep using the bigger sleigh? Just a thought. Good luck with the trapping season this year, the pelts can only get better with this cold weather.

    I have what might sound like a stupid question. When you turn the fur right side out, the dried skin sounds quite crackley. Does it ever “break” or tear during that process?

      Oh yes!!! You must turn it at the right time, if it’s too dry I soak it in a wet cloth.

    Hey Norm it looked like your rope was stretching! Get yourself a length of synthetic winch rope makes all the difference using a come along and winches no stretch! As always love your videos better than Tv ✌️

    Hi Norm, While it’s hard to tell on the video from actual being there, I do not think that is a lynx track as they have a lot of fur on the bottom of their feet. This prevents the track from having that level of toe/pad detail. The end looks like a big male fisher track running away. Perhaps this is your magnum Martens’s track as well?

    It's a shame what happened to the trapping sleigh. I remember watching the videos of you building it. You were so happy about having a bigger sleigh. As for the big martin tracks and you not saying what you said when you saw them, I'm guessing you dropped an F-bomb 😂😂😂

    Well sheesh, sorry about the sleigh. As nice as it is to travel sometimes on flat surfaces, it’s not good in the bush and hard on the driver and machine. I’m glad the furs are starting to grow.
