3sg beams swap that thing, or go 20valve black top with a 7af block. That looks like the cleans kouki ae86 that I have seen that red and black is fire. Those things are super loud with those cannister style mufflers specially if you take out the silencer. And being a gtv model it comes with the lsd.
@@dominicbustamante730 nah...swap it with the 3s-gte engine from the caldina st215(gt-t) or St246(gt-4).......that's 260hp out of the box.

As a fellow ae86 owner, I am so happy to know there's hachi content on the way. They really are one of the funnest cars to drive and they quickly refine your driving skills. I own a fast jzx110 mark 2 but my hachi will always put a bigger smile on my face.

I'm sure there are a bunch of talented exhaust fabricators in the US but Adam should seriously consider checking out HEMI RACE exhausts in Ireland . They seriously know what they are doing . Plus Ireland is the Ae86 capital of the world they have to be the best 😆

4AGE has to be one of the best sounding engines ever, congrats on the AE86 Adam!! ITBs and building the crap out of the engine sounds like it would be a ton of fun. There's a rally Starlet with a heavily built 4AGE in it pulling 11.3k RPM and it sounds absolutely nuts, by far my favourite sounding car.
Adam should definitely run laps with ALL his cars, have like a Top Gear lap time board for the compound.

I had an 85 sprinter as my first car WELL before I knew the history of them. Car was same age as me, even the same month! Had a tonne of fun in it rallying it on gravel here in west aus with my mates. Got it for $1000 & this brings me way back to one of the funnest times of my life

For an almost 40 year old car that was driven, its in a great state. I owned a US AE86 back in the early 2000s that wasn't in nearly as good condition as yours so. Just love this car, drive it, and don't do anything too wild to it (nothing that can't be undone at least), and it will take care of you.

I think this idea is dope. I like that each car gets a showcase episode and a baseline before you do anything to it. I think that should be a standard now and then we can see progress made after you build if you chose to
I'd love to see a full garage update after this series has finished, you've made alot of changes since the last update and you haven't had one since you bought the compound

Agreed as he said he didn’t know what to do to it. First things that popped into my head were either a 20v silver or blacktop swap or a 4AGZE
@@ronniecason9807 im a 16v purist.... 16v ITB, high compression, 220whp N/A on race gas. My dad is doing a similar build with his levin right now and I want all the 16v goodness

But shit since he’s Adam LZ and knows Tommyfyeah I would ask Tommy to try and find one of those long discontinued hks twin charger kits that they made for the 16v 4AGE back in the day. Supercharger for low boost and turbo for high boost. Now that would be fucking pump.

The 16v head is a great design, even though Toyota will never admit it the head is based of the old Cosworth BDA head with some port shape improvements.

Calling it "restored" is a really overselling it, looks more like quick flip job. lz overpaid for it bad , homeboy fixed rustholes with a soldering iron 😂 no cutting away of the rust to remove it since it's gonna be on both sides of the metal just grinding it down on the outside

Definitely my favorite car of yours, it would be awesome if you restored all the bushings and did an OEM+ build with good grip tires to start with then see if it can take out the E36.

Aww man, this is brining a tear to my, i sold my one years ago, it was the iconic white and black color one. Sold it for 5k how i wish i had of kept it in the garage. The interior was a bit scuffy in my one. But i miss the smell of it, the sound of it. And just generally looking at it. I always et teary eyed i miss my baby. I cant afford her back.

It's perfect. I mean it's not "perfect" in the sense that its flawless, but its perfect in that you can actually drive it and not feel bad about it. It looks rad. I think I prefer the red/black over the white/black.

A pillar trims will be brittle. They could look mint, and you look at them wrong and they'll fall apart. Loving the juicebox reference at the end. Def need to cop a sticker of theirs on the car.
