@@derekhathaway I’ve a Sadler 25 on the hard up at the retreat boatyard, considering joining starcross yc, and keen to get to know some of the members there…I don’t suppose I could give you my email address and have a chat sometime? Kind regards, Craig
We have 3 Sadler 26 at SYC so you’d be in good company! Overall we have over 40 cruiser boats of every type from small to 33ft. I’d be very happy to chat if you send me some contact details.
I agree - also useful for UK viewers also! I also like to have some idea of when the footage was captured - it sometimes helps understand the weather conditions at the time.
On this last trip I spent 4 nights on anchor; 2 in a marina to be able to take my nephew on board to learn some big boat sailing and 4 on a mooring but 3 of these were to ride out some strong winds and 1 was an eco mooring that happened to be free in Studland Bay where there are restrictions on anchoring. When I head SW and visit Scilly I’m normally at anchor for 90% of the time!
Thanks for taking us along on this trip Derek. Wonderful scenery beautifully captured.
Enjoyed your music choices. Was that sandy denny at the end?
It was Sandy Denny - brought back happy memories to go with my memories of this trip! Glad you liked it!
Hi Derek…do you keep here down on the river Exe/Starcross YC?
Yes Starcross Yacht Club - swing mooring - on the Exe.

Liked the Lymington----->>>>/cowes map.
More maps makes NON UK viewers more aware of the route.

I see you often take a mooring instead of anchoring. Is that a requirement in some places or a preference?
